I booked this hotel as i was looking for something with parking that can accommodate 5 of us in 1 room and not with shared toilets, we got it.. I like the beds.. they were the most comfortable beds and pillows we had here in our trip in europe.. Room was reasonably clean and it had a bath which the kids used. Owner was very friendly and tries to help always especially with the parking. Before we arrive, i read a review and i actually had doubts in staying there but it turned out good.. really depends on what are u looking for.

Parking was on the street.. Would need a rearranging i think as It was a bit creepy because of all the antiques and the statues. Overall it was a good stay.. thank you

I loved the old 1600s/1700s vide. The rooms and the view were beautiful. The staff were great and friendly. The location was perfect with it being a 15 minute walk to the Altstadt.

There was no mirror in my room so I had to use the shared floor bathroom for everything. However, it’s not as bad as it may seem because you can lock the door and use it for yourself. The only other thing that was a little inconvenient is that they shut off the WiFi from 24:00-7:00.

Beautiful old building with quirky rustic interior. Comfortable bed. Great location to walk to the centre through the tunnel.

Be prepared to cope with stairs with your luggage, but the owner was very kind and helped with our bags on arrival. Parking cam be difficult nearby.

I love this place. It is in a very old building and very rustic home style. Don't stay here if you want to be pampered and coddled. Do stay here if you want to be at your grandma's place. The location is great. A tram/bus stop is just a few minutes' walk and will take you anywhere. Lots of great things are within walking distance. SAFE! This is a safe place, and safety is my #1 priority, I am a scientist/writer, and I spent an evening writing on the patio. My gosh it doesn't get better! I highly recommend this property. It is SAFE, a great location and also a great value! I plan to come back to Salzburg with my wife next time. Staying at this Haus is/will be part of the experience I want to share with her

We felt very welcome. We simply couldn’t have asked for more. Everyone was very kind and very willing to accommodate. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. The pillows and bed and comforters were very very comfortable. The location was perfect. 3-4 minute walk to transit and a few stops into the center. We bought a pass at the tobacco shop in the train station on the way in, hopped on the bus and right to the hotel. If you are looking for a five star hotel, this probably isn’t the spot but if you are looking for a comfortable authentic stay that is both quiet and close to everything, this was a perfect hotel for us. We had to leave a bit early and I hated to do so.

Comfortable family apartment/room. Clean-ish. Friendly staff, most know English, though you need to be assertive to figure out things work/ it helps if you speak German. Cash only. Breakfast was simple but good. We found out after we ate breakfast that there were eggs available, upon request, so was better than we thought. Good location, restaurants and a market nearby. Also can easily walk or take a bus to Alstadt. They also have some bikes to borrow and a nice play area.

We could get airflow on the hot summer nights, but cigarette smoke came in from the outdoor eating area.

Our room was charmingly furnished with antiques and religious art which we thoroughly enjoyed! The building is great, the location is perfect for walking into Salzburg, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We also appreciated being able to check-in early, share a room with our three children, and have a good breakfast downstairs. And they were happy to let us leave our bags for the morning so we could walk around a bit before we had to leave to catch our train. Truly an accommodating place! It’s a very homelike, welcoming property!

Quirky little place full of character, a strong religious feel compliments the old traditional nature of the place

The "shuttle bus" to the airport is literally the bus it's very convenient, cheap and takes no time at all. But do not confuse this with a hotel airport shuttle service!!

Beautiful, very old large stone and stucco manor type house. Unique, individual rooms. Lovely typical European breakfast, rolls, assorted breads, jams, butter, musli, cheese, sausage, soft boiled eggs!, coffee, teas, assorted fruits. Modern shower and bathroom facilities. Close to many historic areas of Salzburg, Owner's collection of Christian iconography is displayed everywhere in the house

Know that there is no elevator.

We enjoyed our stay at Haus Wartenberg. We booked the family room and it was plenty of space for the 3 of us - little kitchen and nice patio as well. I would describe the place as a quirky bed and breakfast. It was about a 10 minute walk into the city centre, which we actually enjoyed walking off dinner on way back. It's likely one of the only places with free parking that close to the city. Definitely recommend.
