The hotel is very close to Schönbrunn Palace, and it's also very convenient to reach the museum district via the U4 line. The room is quite spacious, and the bathroom is one of the largest we've encountered in Austria hotels. It's worth mentioning that the gentleman at the front desk and the young lady who checked us in were extremely courteous, always smiling, and greeted us warmly every time we entered or left the hotel. As the final stop of our honeymoon trip, this place was wonderful. We wish them all the best.

The only area for improvement is that we hope housekeeping can knock before entering the room. We experienced twice in one day where housekeeping used their key card to enter without knocking first. Although we didn't hang the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, it happened once during our afternoon nap and once when my husband was taking a shower, which was quite awkward.

It was centrally located in downtown Hietzing close to Schönbrunn Zoo, restaurants, bakeries and the subway. Modern and clean.

We had an unpleasant experience with the woman at the Front Desk at checkout. When she asked us how many breakfasts we had eaten and we responded zero, she accused us of lying. We were shocked and had to protest for a minute until she finally backed down. The experience detracted from what had otherwise been a pleasant stay. Although the hotel is conveniently located near a family member’s apartment and we have stayed there before, we will now consider other options.

Incredibile location, close to Schönbrunn gardens and castle, right next to Rietzing U-bahn and tram lines. Reception staff were very helpful and assisted with baggage storage prior to check in, and assistance with organising a private taxi to the airport. Peaceful and quiet stay. Lovely to come home to after a busy day. We really enjoyed our stay!

Only one minor aspect which could be improved - rooms weren’t cleaned very well. Bins not emptied, used cups not cleaned, bed made but pillows not (all just thrown in a bunch on the top of the bed).

The hotel is great. We had room for 2. Hotel has no twin bed. The room with a view of the garden is soo good. Silent,big,comfortable.The location is amasing. All around the hotel cosy bars,the garden,the palace Schoenbrunn. We visited events in the palace as well. Connection to the city U4,everything is on the corner. Definitely,if i will need,i will look for a free room in this hotel. Room 108 is perfect for summer. Thank you for such a nice room. P.s.We didn't had breakfast, it costs 28 eur per person. Around the hotel there are few very nice bakeries and cafes.

Located right in front of entrance to Schönbrunn Palace property entrance and very close to the zoo. Plenty of nice restaurants around. Bed was comfy, great internet, mini bar with items for sale. Kettle, coffeemaker, tea bags and coffee pods provided for free.

Bathroom had a smell. AC worked good during the day but would shut off during the night. We slept with open windows so it was ok. Just fyi grocery stores and shops close very early and I think after 7pm you can’t even buy water bottles anywhere. We had to walk for an hour to find a gas station to get some stuff.

The room was very comfortable and the amenities we great! We were on the first floor facing the main street and kept our window open as the air conditioning wasn't coming on yet. The street was loud but that is to be expected and we weren't really bothered by it. I wish I could recall the young lady's name that checked us in and helped us throughout our stay. She was exceptional and answered all of our questions and gave us great information and advice. We also loved the bar at the adjoining hotel. We had a young man that had just started working there and he was exceptional as well. Very helpful and friendly and took care of us very well.

A television station that was in English so we could watch the news. This wasn't a dislike just a suggestion.

Good breakfast. I didn't use the gym or sauna, so can't comment. The room was extremely quiet.

For me, the mattress wasn't ideal, but that's obviously a matter of preference. I had to ask for a bottle opener to have a beer from the minibar.

Fresh and contemporary hotel attached to the more traditional hotel by the same chain right next door. Location super convenient, just across from one of the gates to Schoenbrunn park. Transportation options like tramway stop and taxi stand in the immediate vicinity. Shopping and restaurant options right at your door. The room was huge, sunny, and very clean, exactly as pictured. The breakfast was good, with large selection, if somewhat conventional but no problem. Breakfast room overlooks an internal garden. Staff were helpful and proactive. I enjoyed my stay in this peaceful and affluent neighborhood of Vienna away from the hustle and bustle of the center.

Excellent welcome by Nicole on reception evening of 30 November, who really was incredibly helpful and professional. Lovely breakfast. And proximity to an event.

I had settled my bill the previous evening as knew I would be in a rush to reach my event where I was a speaker. I was astonished by the verging on rude manner of the lady on Reception that morning c10 am who insisted on checking on her PC I had paid, even though I had the receipt. I understood her motive, but she needs to be told that a little customer courtesy goes a long way.

I always like to stay at Hotel Maximilian because of the location opposite the Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens. It's lovely to make a morning walk in these gardens after the delicious breakfast. The rooms are large with comfortable beds. The reception staff is very helpfull and friendly and the breakfast staff makes sure to provide a tasty breakfast! There is a lovely little spa with sauna, relax rooms and fitness, all free of charge. As a thank you for your stay the hotel provides you with a free chocolate cake and home made fruit drink in your room. The metro towards the city center is about 100 meters from the hotel. This hotel is the ideal hotel for a beautiful vacation in Vienna... I'll come back in september.
