The location was perfect it’s close to everything especially the Museum Quarters, Parliament House, & the main Shopping street. Lots of restaurants nearby & a grocery store not to mention the tram & train were just a few minutes away. Also, the hotel facilities were perfect fit for us. The room was big, bed was comfortable & the extra Devin bed was a nice spot. The room was always clean, towels were changed almost every day during our 4 nights stay. The balcony in our room was also a nice extra space to hang out for fresh air. The highlight for us was we celebrated two important milestone during our 4 night stays in Hotel Gilbert. The staff in this hotel were friendly and welcoming. Bianca made sure our special milestone celebration were well remembered. We celebrated my 64th birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary during our stay here at Hotel Gilbert. They made it special by providing a bottle of wine in our bedroom on our wedding anniversary with a lovely card greeting us. Also, on my birthday at breakfast, Kristina the German waitress gave a piece of cake with a candle to blow for my birthday. A very nice touch💖 which we’re very grateful. At our wedding anniversary dinner Thomas the bar & waiter on the night looked after us very well. Also Kristina was very helpful. Then also the other waitress (tall & beautiful can’t remember her name) was also helpful & friendly. The breakfast was good value & great food. We must also mention the person who keeps our room clean (Julianna??) thank you for your help. We will highly recommend this hotel, we love our stay & we will definitely come back next time we’re in Vienna.

The only minor thing we didn’t like in this hotel was the steps to get into the reception area. We had 4 Suitcases & we have to carry them all. The front desk staff (male & female) didn’t suggest to leave them near the steps given the lift was located next to the steps. So we carried them up to the reception then back down again to catch the lift after checking in. While the male staff tried to help it’s looked forced he didn’t look happy!

- The interior design of the lobby was beautiful and the facilities were really nice. - The breakfast buffet was great. - The location was perfect. - The staff was very friendly and helpful.

- The safe in the room didn't open with the correct code, staff told us that this tends to happen. - The TV wasn't tuned, only option was Netflix (which was fine for us). - We had to order coffee for breakfast from the waiting staff who seemed a little overwhelmed on the weekend. - Hotel doesn't have its own parking garage.

The room was VERY comfortable. Clean and everything looked new. We loved the option to open the windows for fresh air. We stayed on the 4th floor - it was nice and quiet. The breakfast was GREAT -wide variety, fresh, and very tasty. The staff was so lovely and informative. The location was excellent. Close to the tram, museums, and park.

The price was a bit high. When someone from a room near us left the room, when the door closed behind them it made a lot of noise.

Breakfast was amazing, big variety, modern tastes, the breakfast area is nicely decorated and luminous. The rooms were quiet and I had a view in an urban garden. The location was amazing, we took 3 elevators that landed us directly at the Museum quartier, we did not have to walk.

I did not appreciate the fact that there was no fridge because I had the baby with me and I had to throw some food. I could not store the milk overnight but give it downstairs. It was not comfortable so I propose the hotel buys some portable fridges (in amazon they cost 30 euros the small ones) and provide them to the guests who absolutely need it.

Charming hotel close to all the major attractions.Very friendly, polite and amazing staff-a special shout-out to the young lady who checked us in(sorry,i forgot your name).Good breakfast as well.Coffee machine in the room.Definitely recommend this hotel.

Not a negative comment-just a note-the hotel does not provide any bottled water as the tapwater is drinkable in Vienna(very good quality according to my wife)But,i imagine not everybody drinks tapwater(especially from the bathroom tap) or stillwater for that matter.As an example i only drink sparkling mineral water(i imagine i'm not the only one either).Again,it is not a criticism just an fyi comment.Wasn't a big deal anyway,a supermarket is literally 2 minutes down the hotel.

Everyone is very welcoming and attentive. I can’t control my body temperature, so I tend to get very very hot, which causes other health issues; however, the staff was more than happy to bring us the controller for the AC unit, which we were able to adjust accordingly and I am forever grateful. The place really is in a great location, in the design/art district and across from the museum quarters. We were a 10 minute walk from everything. By the way, the photos posted here don’t do the hotel justice.

Brilliant location and short walk from the Subway. Beautiful atrium perfect for breakfast or an evening glass of wine. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with a massive shower. Staff could not do more for you, so accommodating. Buffet breakfast is first class, with a full gluten free menu. The coffee is barista and not awful stale filter and the options are exceptional for continental and cooked breakfast. You can enjoy sparkling wine and coffee in abundance and all part of the price of breakfast. You get wine vouchers on arrival to enjoy the bar one evening for free.

No complaints. The quality of the rooms, the communal spaces and the staff experience all 10/10.

Bright, comfortable and relaxed restaurant, bar and seating area. We stayed in the Loft Suite (room 701). Having our own private sauna was a luxury. The suite has two terraces, so you get sun at both ends of the day. Picture windows and great views across the city. The little kitchen has all you need (including an induction hob and dishwasher) to cook your own meals (and there is a very good grocery shop less than a minute away). Appreciated having access to Netflix. The gym is extremely well equipped (including resistance bands, free weights, exercise balls, etc). Had a very good evening meal in the restaurant (&Flora).

Chairs in our suite were not very comfortable. Breakfast was a little disappointing considering how good the restaurant is -very little fresh fruit and very poor pastries (not what you except in Vienna!) Our bathroom heater/towel rail was not working - despite us mentioning this on several occasions.

New, modern, comfortable and in good location. Nice breakfast with vegan options.

A little pricey, the room was close to hall we heard noises but it was still nice stay.

We loooved the lobby of the hotel and loved having cocktails there. hotel Gilbert is a green hotel and they really take it to heart. Kudos! We got a welcome drink of wine courtesy of &Flora which we appreciated. Our dinner at &Flora the first night was delicious. I was disappointed that the 2 junior suites we booked weren’t on the same floor even after I requested this 2-3 months before our trip. After some discussion and checking out our rooms, we accepted the separate floors and ended up thoroughly liking our rooms. Staff was very patient through all this. Housekeeping kept our rooms very clean. We had to request for amenities (like dental kits and vanity kits) and extra towels and such from the Front Desk. No shower caps I suppose in keeping with their green principle. This wasn’t too bad. Their bath & body products were of good quality. Wood staying Hotel Gilbert again!
