Beautiful period property only minutes walk from the market square and other attractions in centre of Bruges. Each room consists of one floor of the house, and is more like an apartment, with separate bedroom and sitting room, and lovely comfortable furnishings. Excellent breakfast included. Warm and cosy.

Narrow steep staircase makes it unsuitable for people with mobility issues, and parking is restricted to expensive short term metered parking or underground car parks which have height restrictions - problem if you have a roof box. But this is a general issue for Bruges, not the property itself.

Fabulous bed and breakfast in the heart of Bruges. We rented two rooms for two couples. The top floor room has a fantastic view of the bell tower. The first floor room felt like old European style, similar to B&Bs we’ve stayed at in Paris with large sweeping windows, a sitting area and more. The beds were very comfortable as well. The breakfast each morning was absolutely lovely with the staff preparing fresh eggs and coffee in addition to the fresh pastries and fruit and yogurt. It was served in the kitchen in the basement. The main floor sitting area was well-decorated and filled with books to enjoy as well as complementary waffles as a snack. The location was lovely - an easy walk to town - and still very quiet and peaceful.

The only challenge we had was with the bathtub as we did not have a full normal shower. I did not look closely at the photos on that. However the tub is a beautiful claw foot tub with a nice hand-held sprayer which was perfect.

The B&B was really nice. We liked the atmosphere and the delicious breakfast. The room was very specious and cosy. The location of the B&B is very nice. There are a lot of restaurants within 5-10mins walking distance, and all the nice streets, squares and buildings etc. are within 10-15mins walking distance.

It was a bit unfortunate that we could only wash ourselves in the bathtub. It is not possible to have a normal standing shower. But for a couple of days, this is no problem. The bed was a bit saggy and the building was a bit noisy. We were woken up in the morning by our upstairs neighbors who were going down the stairs to have breakfast. However, this was not a big problem. We really liked the B&B.

Our room which was the blue room was very comfortable with a separate living/kitchenette area. The bathroom was clean with a super sized walk in shower, toiletries were provided. The breakfast was great with breads and continental style meats and cheese. We were asked how we would like our eggs cooked every morning. A very convenient location to the Markt plaza and the Burg. Excellent restaurant and bars nearby. We would stay again.

The stairs maybe difficult for people with limited mobility. No lift

The location is superb, within easy walking distance of the old town. We didn’t have time for breakfast, but the owner, whom we only met at checkout, was very friendly. The accommodation itself was exceptionally unique and full of character.

The bathroom didn’t include a shower, but I doubt one could have been fitted given the room's traditional character. That said, there was nothing wrong with the bathroom itself, which featured a lovely, clean bath.

Started our day with a great breakfast. Then cleaned ourself up in a great bathroom. Then we took advantage of our great location getting to the main market in minutes. In a sentence we want to come back..

Stairs. Need an easier way to get the luggage up. Maybe a pole to slide down like in the movies. Probably not doable.

The apartment was ample ... very big. The location is excellent and within walking distance of everything you need. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a feast ... you will never get anything better. The lady in the place was from Ukraine ... sorry but we forgot her name. She was very helpful and always available all the time. She helped us with the suitcases without us asking. Highly recommended place to stay.

The steps, but not a dealbreaker.

Location excellent. Breakfast very good . Facilities were excellent especially the fact that there was two separate rooms . One room where you could make snacks and tea and coffee and enjoy at table and chairs provided. Our host was perfect. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a stay in Bruges . Wish we could have stayed longer

Great location just minutes from the main square. We stayed in the blue suite - there is one bedroom on each floor and blue is in the middle. Large bed (super king) was comfortable and bathroom had a huge shower. Everything was really clean. Breakfast was good - croissant/pastries, bread, cheese, ham, eggs, yoghurt.

Could do with more storage in the bedroom to unpack clothes. Stairs are quite steep so be prepared!

The entire stay was really good; check-in and check-out were easy and quick. I’d like to highlight the cleanliness and amenities of the hotel. Varvara was very attentive to anything we needed.

There was no coffee maker in the room, and you can hear all the movement from the room above.
