This is probably the best boutique hotel we ever had! It’s just so lovely with the design, the super good beds, the perfect location in a quiet street and all the attention the details (Loved the Scandinavian shampoo in the rainshower!). We appreciate the digital self check-in and the privacy Zakske has to offer. We travel a lot and we like to have as much privacy as possible. To be honest, we actually hate it when there’s the owner who welcomes you and tríes to be ‘nice’. We never met the owner but he gave us plenty of info and local tips beforehand. We did meet the lovely manager Erin! She’s so nice! For us it was clear, this is absolutely the best boutique hotel in Bruges, it really made our trip amazing! We’ll be back VERY soon!!!

That I couldn’t stay a few days longer…

The accommodation was very close to the city centre, with just a short pleasant walk to the Markt Square. The instructions sent prior to arrival were very useful including some very helpful information on access to the property, especially given that there was a road closure nearby. I would have struggled without these, and they were thoughtful enough to provide information on this. The room had everything that we needed, was very clean with a lovely private bathroom accessed from the main room. The bed was very comfortable, with coffee and tea provided and a TV with included streaming services. Free WiFi details were on a welcome card in the room. I would definitely stay at Zakske 13 again.

Only a small gripe, but I felt the room was a little on the dark side, even with the main lights on. A few more ceiling down lights would have made a big difference.

Wonderful historic building and room and bathroom are large and accommodating! Shower size and functionality is excellent!

One thought I have to share is that Booking.com has ruined the concept of what a B&B traditionally was meant to be. Breakfast at a B&B should be served to all guests, and not by upcharging more than 125 Euros for three nights (or much more if you book w/breakfast on-line). This results in a substantial increase to the base cost of the room reservation, and its readily apparent to the guests. I'm quite sure its Booking.com and other markteting websites that encourage hosts and promote charging for breakfast as another means to generate revenue. A B&B means we have Bed and Breakfast for our guests; it's not a hotel or other locale. Just the way I see it. Perhaps the new owners will see fit to work this into their price point.

This little hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the centre, it was very spacious in the room and the decor is modern and functional. We loved the window shelf that you could sit on. We had not realised that our booking included breakfast so we were pleasantly surprised to find a large box of delights on the doorstep in the morning. Recommend adding it if you are booking. The location was great for us and the property communicated well about close by restaurants, where to park and so on.

The property was great, but it would have been nice to at least meet the staff. We didn’t see anyone during our stay.

Excellent location, quiet area but only 5 mins walk to center. We really liked the set up: self check in but clear communication prior to arrival. There is a little kitchen area with everything you could need, having the iced water machine there was useful. Room and in particular the bed was very comfortable. We don't go on holiday to sit in the room but having two comfy chairs and netflix on the TV meant that when we did relax in the room in was very enjoyable. We had the breakfast included which was excellent. We took the rolls, meat and cheese out as a packed lunch and were still left with a large, delicious breakfast.

The room was lovely but had lots of marks along walls/window sills where guests had clearly ben careless with suitcases and furniture, and a rip on the chair. Because of this it felt like it needed a freshen up, but I also understand that if guests are careless it may need this too frequently to manage.

Location is 10 minutes from the main square, free parking a 10 minute walk away and you are able to drive to the property to drop off your things. The room has everything you need including comfy bed, coffee machine, great bathroom and a mini fridge. There is also a communal iron and board which came in handy. As the apartment has a code to get in the main door and then you check yourself in to your own room, the cleaning staff were the only other people we encountered, who were very friendly! When we come back to Brugges, we will book here again for sure"

Great position, close to all the attractions - 10 to 15 minutes walks. Very cute local shops with plenty of specialties close by. Large room, comfy bed, great coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Very elegant and pleasant overall.

You have to turn off the heating each time you leave the room which, with the room being tall, it's going to be pretty cold when you come back and will take a while to warm up. Obviously, the only applies in the cold season.

We had 3 days here , large room with a lovely comfy double bed. Bathroom was massive with a walk in shower for 2 Lol. Kettle with tea and coffee and a tv with Netflix ,youtube, amazon prime if you fancy a lazy morning. We did not have breakfast here but instead popped round corner to bakers. quiet place just a short walk from market Square where you will find a proper festive atmosphere if you are lucky enough to go this time of year. All in all, a perfect winter weekend away, Thank you

Nothing. All was fab, If we are going to nitpick, then we could say that the lift was very slow...We thought we had broken it...But be patient as you will get there lol

Located on a quiet street only 5 min walk to main square. The room was just perfect for a 3 night stay. Very clean, with all the facilities I needed. Coffee and tea were available in the room. No interaction with staff, however management did respond immediately to an email I sent during our stay. Upon booking, the property sent a message with analytical instructions for the property and recommendations. The plentiful breakfast was left outside our door every morning. Everything you'd expect from a B&B and much more. I would definitely stay here again.

Don't leave your brolly in the umbrella stand behind the main entrance. One of the guests nicked mine!!!!

The location was really central for Bruges only a 10 minute walk from the centre. The rooms were a good size and lovely high ceilings. The bathroom was really spacious. The walk in shower was perfect. The whole property was very clean. Facilities were good. We didn’t have the breakfast but there was a fridge you could use. Would highly recommend.
