We had a wonderful stay at this lovely family-run bnb. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully equipped (++ for the "king room" we had). The downstairs space with an open kitchen was perfect for breakfast or a coffee break. The place was quiet and peaceful. It's ideally located close to the train station, with cool restaurants nearby and easy tram access to the city center. Highly recommended!

Beautiful old building, super clean and cute room, with a small adjacent sitting room with books and guides. Fully equipped bathroom.

The view from the room windows is over a glass roof of the restaurant, and the noise is audible, also via the room door which is also glass, so guests living late at night can be heard. The second night we were also disturbed by loud neighbours in the building next door until late hours.

Staying at Koeketiene made my weekend in Ghent really special. Fran, Maarten and Daniel are amazing hosts and I enjoyed every minute I spent there. The breakfast and lunch were outstanding, and I loved all the plants in my room. The location is perfect as well, just a few minutes from the main train station but in a quiet street and near the Citadel Park. Tram number 1 stops just round the corner and takes you straight to the city centre in no time. I'm so glad I discovered this place and would travel all the way to Ghent just to stay and eat at Koeketiene again :-)

Fran and Maarten were wonderful hosts! As soon as we walked in, we felt welcomed by Fran. The room was spacious and clean, bathrooms were modern and excellent condition. Maarten is an amazing chef and went above and beyond for us while we were there. Would recommend trying out their restaurant while you are there. We will go back to their bed and breakfast if we ever go back to ghent belgium.

Convenient location close to Gent Sint Peeters station. Very friendly people. The King room was spacious and comfortable with very high ceilings.

The toilet has a glass door. We are used to showers having glass doors but for the toilet this was odd. This was fine for a 1-night stay but for longer stays it might be a bit annoying.

We had two wonderful nights at the b&b koeketiene. Our room was big, beautifully decorated, and cozy. Everything was clean and tidy and we also had a bathtube, which is always a plus. :) Overall, the place had a great charme and the two cats fit perfectly to it. Breakfast was really good and made with love. The hosts were two very lovely people, very helpful, and made our stay a really remarkable memory.

First of all, Thanks for Fran for being a nice host. The room is nice and same as in the photos. It's big and comfort. It's quite close to Gent Sint Pieters station and easy to find. Nearby has shops, supermarkets and park. Old town is about 15 mins walk.

Bear in mind, there is no elevator. Light in the bedroom is kind of yellowish.

The accommodation was very close to the station and it was situated in a quiet street. Fran and Maarten, the owners, were extremely helpful and friendly. Plus, breakfast was superb in their own café! The rooms were large, light and airy with our own separate little sitting room..

Friendly and helpful hosts, cute and charming place for a laidback breakfast, complete with a cute plump cat! Easily accessible by foot and tram to popular attractions.

Nothing to complain about really but be prepared to have someone in the family who is strong or fit enough to carry your luggage up and down the stairs though I’m sure the host would be more than happy to help if you ask.

Loved the breakfasts at the family operated restaurant downstairs and the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners ,who live in the mansion too. The hotel is easily accessible to Ghent St Pieters Train Station, the tram into the city center, and the city park with its museums and the adjacent botanical garden. Great location. Charming stay.
