The room was large and clean. Excellent location, very close to the castle and city centre, still really quiet. Parking was included in the price which was a real bonus. The bathroom was very spacious and had two armchairs as well, which we found amusing and nice. Franky, the host was kind and accommodating. Great communication too. Overall we had a very good experience. Would love to return with our children some time.

The bathroom was next to the room but had to access it through a cold corridor.

Our host was incredibly helpful and friendly. Location was brilliant, very quiet yet still only 5 mins walk to castle, boat trips and lovely cafés. Access to the underground parking spot was great as other parking seemed hard to find and expensive. It's one big room with beds, sofa TV and coffee machine area all in one, so lots of space.

As it had been raining that day there was a slight smell of damp as the room is at ground/below ground level, but I'm sure that was just the weather more than anything.

A fantastic location, surrounded by historical importance great eating a stunning winding streets. The hosts were so kind and had fresh water , and bean to cup coffee machine as nice touch. They had remade our beds when we went out for the day! As a family was perfect as we had room to collapse and repack our bags as we were touring around a bit.

My fault...I should have been clear when we were arriving as had to wait to be let in. It is their home and you stay in a separate flat in the basement/ground floor.

The room and the entire area are extremely quiet. Position is perfect to explore Gand center; in 5 minutes you get to the castle, and you are immediately in the heart of everything you want to visit. Staff was very kind.

The bathroom is private for the room, but anyway physically separated from the room itself, and thus not so comfortable. During the night it was a little wet (must say that it was raining, probably some humidity was inevitable)

Franky is a great host and even allowed me to check in early which was much appreciated after a 6:30am flight from Dublin. The apartment was well equipped with a kettle, microwave and coffee machine. Theres also a fridge in the adjoining bathroom. There was even toothpaste in the bathroom which literally never happens! Great location, just a short walk into the old city of Ghent.

Bathroom isn’t an en-suite but it’s just outside the door so not too much of an inconvenience. No where to wash my used dishes/cups so I felt bad leaving a pile of dirty dishes when I left.

The host Franky was fantastic, he helped us find local free parking and his advice was really welcome. Super warm and friendly - you can tell he loves hosting people. The room was perfect for a family of 4 and more. From memory, 3 doubles at least, with a nice bathroom adjacent. If staying with the family again in Ghent, would definitely return.

The room was huge and cozy, you won't feel any cold even if it's that big. It's under the street level but it has a good light from outside. It has a big bathroom with washing machine and dryer, I didn't use them btw. You have a free park outside the building inside a private garage underground.

Be careful using the parking outside, it's very expensive if you stay for long. So plan you arrive with Franky so you can put the car in the garage.

The location was perfect and easy walk to the Old Town. It was a huge room, very quiet and had the facilities we required. Frankie , our host, was helpful on anything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable too.

There was nothing we didn’t like

The best was Adriana and Frank who went out of her way to make us comfortable and arranged everything for us. Also a large room, toys for kids, coffeemaker, great location.

The door made noise when opening and closing, but it wasn’t terrible. Just needs a little attention. Still very satisfied with our stay.

Perfect location, very comfortable, loads of space for the family, 1 minute from tram, 5 mins walk to the city centre. great facilities, hair drier, fridge, microwave and lovely coffee machine! The host Franky was very welcoming and nice. He was very helpful during our holiday. Private parking was a brilliant perk.

can’t think of any negatives.
