Comfortable bed, really good shower, wifi reception was great, the location would be hard to beat - surrounded by historical buildings and public gathering squares. Tram and bus lines right outside the door, 20 minute walk, flat walk no hills, from the train station.

A fridge of any size would have been handy, and the room was a little smaller than anticipated. We felt that the photos didn't represent that fairly. We have stayed in many European hotels and we understand that the rooms are smaller than Canadian hotels, but this room was just a bit tighter than anticipated. The hotel is in a busy area of town and if you're room is facing the square, the weekend nite noise could be a bit off putting, but the views facing the square are spectacular.

I absolutely loved the location of the hotel, which was perfect for exploring the city. Situated right next to St. Baafs Kathedraal, it made getting around incredibly convenient. Additionally, the staff were not only incredibly friendly but also very helpful, providing excellent recommendations and assistance whenever needed.

While my overall experience was positive, there were a few aspects that could have been improved. Firstly, the shower didn't drain the water properly, leading to accumulation on the shower base and eventually wetting everything. Additionally, it would be appreciated to have smaller towels available for the sink, as we found that the two big towels provided were insufficient for our needs in that area.

Location is the main plus here - just across the road from the cathedral, very central. The room is not big, but okay, bed is comfy. The staff is friendly and nice. Breakfast has all that you need, coffee is decent, and you can even bake waffles yourself

Weird choice of furniture - "young and modern" and all that I guess, the bed table with round corners is extremely not comfortable. The price is a bit higher than I would prefer for this room quality, but I guess it's the location you pay for.

For a budget price the room was immaculately clean, the shower room etc more than adequate, and it was all fresh looking and well sound-proofed. We had a lovely view over green back gardens. Staff were all delightful and helpful. Location A1*, right beside the Cathedral, but not busy or noisy. Comfortable beds

There was no kettle, safe or fridge in the room but for the price paid that was fine for us, just alerting other travellers to things which might matter to them.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, right beside St Baaf's Cathedral and (therefore) the Belfort. We were using Ghent as a base to explore West Flanders by train and there was an excellent tram link from near the hotel to Sint Pieters station. The room was small but had everything I needed - the 'cube' adaptor was very handy! The room faced into a courtyard and was, therefore, very quiet - the only time I heard the Cathedral bells was when they had a mad spell for 15 minutes at 0830 every morning! No tram noise whatsoever. The staff at reception were SUPERB - so helpful, going out of their way to make our stay in Ghent a happy one. The hotel bar had a good range of Belgian beers and, once again, the bar staff were excellent.

Nothing, it was all good! Will stay here again when I next return to Ghent.

The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the window excelled in isolating sounds from the bustling street. We were graciously allowed an early check-in, a gesture that we greatly appreciated. The staff exhibited politeness and professionalism throughout our stay. The hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness. The breakfast offered a delightful variety and was of good quality.

There was a slight issue with cleanliness in the bathroom, particularly around the toilet, where there was a bit of neglect: the walls could have been better cleaned. Despite this, the overall cleanliness level was very good. Congratulations to the cleaning team. Additionally, there was a concern with the plugs near the switch. During the evening, while attempting to operate the light switch, I accidentally put my hand inside the plug, which raised some heath and safety concerns."

This hotel is in the perfect location. The breakfast was excellent, our room had a wonderful view and was very clean. All of the staff were so friendly. Charlie & Rebecca were particularly helpful when our flight home was cancelled and helped arrange further accommodation. Another man (also named Charlie) in the bar was super friendly as were the ladies who ran the breakfast room. Thanks for everything! We loved staying here.

Perfect location very close to St Bavos. Room clean & spacious. Breakfast limited in terms of what was available. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as a result.

Had wanted a car park space at the hotel. Confirmed I had one reserved advising me of the LEZ requirements. When I tried to contact the hotel by message when on the way to Ghent and when in Ghent I received no reply. On bringing this to the attention of a member of staff on check in he wasn't in any way concerned or apologetic just blaming another unnamed colleague for not responding to me.

Super friendly staff, great sized bed, all the neccessary props, so the usual ibis level you would expect. They happily covered all of our requests as well. The only difference here is the breathtaking view to the square and the churches, and the size of the hotel itself. It's a little bit more friendly then the others. We enjoyed it a lot.

The only downside are the thin walls and the loud neighbours arriving home late night. But nothing major. We could sleep well.

I love the location of this hotel, and it was great to wake up with a room view looking at the Chathedral. I have been going to the hotel 3 times this year and I would choose it again. Its clean, comfy, and very helpful staff. Breakfast is great with wide variety of choices and the whole vibe of the hotel is simple, clean and quiet, just what I need for a working trip and a comfortable stay.
