Amazing food, both brunch and dinner. Brunch until 11h30/12h00 weekends is really a plus! Great hospitality helping us with all our questions and helping us with booking activities Room with city view is big enough and extremely comfortable with nespresso machines, bath robes , snacks, enough plugs, qualitatively toiletries. The hotel is in the best location right at the beach and in the middle of Copacabana and Ipanema.

It’s a trending hotspot so be prepared for local people queuing for a brunch / dinner table. Didn’t bother us though! I would definitely book this place again!

Best location in Rio, the only hotel on the beach. Great views from the hotel.. Amazing ambience .Staff were great and accommodating Room was spacious and comfortable , nice breakfast as well. Will fully recommend

Room cleaning needs a little bit of improvement .

There is no place in Rio with a better location. In the quietness of Arpoardor, you almost feel like you are in an oasis inside of Rio. A Wabi-sabi monument to how the simplest of things are the best. The food is also well thought through, and I've heard that the choice of small local producers also reflects the whole philosophy of Arpoador. You can either eat breakfast almost on the sand or enjoy their terrace's quietness and fantastic view. And the breakfast, WOW! We were daily surprised by the extra peaks you get as a guest, such as being able to borrow bikes, take Yoga classes on the terrace, and even use the terrace after check-out. And the staff went constantly to make us happy (an extra shout out for the fantastic hospitality service of Douglas, Paulo & Ari). And don't mix their caipirinhas, that are also served at the beach!

As the hotel is only six floors and the beachfront only accommodates the few more pricy rooms, it was to be expected that the cheaper rooms would not have the same view. I was disappointed that the less pricy tiny rooms had no view at all, or better said, just a view of the wall of the building next door and lots of barbed wire. But as we weren't there to be in our rooms, it was a small price to pay to enjoy this fantastic place's other amenities.

Our accidental stay at Hotel Arpoador turned out to be the highlight of our time in Rio. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were enchanted by the thoughtful design and attention to detail evident in every corner of the hotel. The amenities exceeded our expectations, with everything from plush towels to stylish trash bins reflecting the hotel's commitment to excellence. The food at the hotel's restaurant was nothing short of marvelous, prompting us to forgo our plans elsewhere and return for every meal. The inclusion of breakfast, morning yoga sessions, a well-equipped gym, pool access, and a dedicated beach area with complimentary towels made our stay all the more enjoyable and hassle-free. However, what truly sets Hotel Arpoador apart is its exceptional service. The staff members are not only friendly and outgoing but also remarkably attentive, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and relaxed. Special mention must go to the team at the rooftop bar, whose hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evenings, and to Paulo Thiago, whose exceptional service left a lasting impression. In conclusion, if you're looking for a hidden gem in Ipanema where every detail is meticulously crafted and the service is second to none, look no further than Hotel Arpoador. That we stayed only one night

Super location right along side the beach & easy walk to a number of bars & restaurants. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice & you’re not rushed. Good shower & comfortable bed. There is a roof terrace with breathtaking views of the beach & it’s possible to have your breakfast up the with distant views of Christ the Redeemer.

We found it a little frustrating when we were unable to sit outside on the beach for breakfast, drinks etc due to the fact that they are open to the general public & it’s not adequate to provide this service to paying guests as well as passer by footfall.

Superb! I fell in love with this hotel from the very first sight. A fantastic location with dramatic views from the rooftop, great interior design and fine cuisine. The stuff is professional and helpful. I stayed in the smallest room facing a wall, but I was still very happy with it — the room was very clean and cozy, the mattress was comfy, there was a great selection of pillows. I also enjoyed the sauna, the bike rental and the beach service. I will definitely come back!

Location was perfect for anyone who wants to walk Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The staff is top grade. They were attentive, kind, and efficient. Rooms were small but cozy. The food was great at the hotel. And the restaurant is just awesome to hang out and rest your feet during. Long day exploring.

The walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours in the hall at night. If you’re a light sleeper you will be woken up by people coming home late and talking in the halls. Wear ear plugs and you’ll be fine. The spa is a bit oversold for what it is: a room with two massage tables.

We loved everything about this property. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and professional. The location is perfect and the property itself is beautiful. Loved the rooftop deck and bar, and the restaurant - inside and on the patio. When we visited, the A/C was out in the rooms, and they offered to cancel free of charge or give us a 30% discount. We took the discount. The room temperature was actually pretty comfortable even though it was hot outside. Highly highly recommend this place!!

A very cool hotel. Perfect location in the corner of Ipanema, ideal for surfing. Modern, lovely food, best breakfast we had in Rio. Friendly and helpful staff.

Our bedroom was well equipped but a bit small, next time we will book a room overlooking the beach with a balcony.
