- value for money - clean - warm/hot (subjective) - spacious - friendly staff and also very responsive on Booking’s chat - breakfast (usually there are: boiled eggs, omelette/fried eggs, fried sausages, fried bacon, cheese, cucumber and tomatoes, ham, salami, butter, jam, honey and you can also make your own tea, have some juice or grab a bowl of cereals + bread that you can toast) - Personally, I think that’s more than enough for a breakfast, before going on the slopes. - dinner - private sauna is also very nice (can reach really high temperatures, i.e 140 Celsius degrees) - ski storage (even though it gets locked only after 7PM, so, not that safe - not sure if there is CCTV)

- a bit far from the gondola that takes you to the slopes, at the top of the mountains, especially if you have to carry your skies and ski equipment

Big parking area which was cleaned from snowfall everyday! Big enough ski room to put my board has a machine to dry boots. Very nice breakfast with different choices every day! Big room with two separate bedrooms. The guy who runs the hotel went and buy me some gauze and betadine because i had a bad injury...

Botovets has three ski lifts that they start from the village. The hotel was almost 100 m away from one of them. Almost 200 m from the second one.(night ski piste) And almost 5 minutes walk till the third one.(which we go every day) It wasn't too much but it was the only thing that wasn't good about the hotel.

We liked the quiet location, easy parking, the friendly staff and our accommodation. Breakfasts were nice - with some variety each day, and the place had some good facilities that the children enjoyed - like billiards and table tennis.

Everything was good. But to be slightly better, in the morning they could offer some decent fruit juices & better coffee at breakfast. The coffee options from the Nescafe machine weren't good. The kids liked the hot chocolate though.

They were very helpful, if we needed anything they were always obliging whether it was tokens for the pool table or borrowing a hair dryer etc. They lit the fire when we were hanging out in the lounge room. Always polite and friendly. The apartment was basic and rather dated but clean, warm and comfortable. Just what you need after a day on the slopes. It was conveniently located near the town, just a 5 minute walk into town. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot and cold buffet style food.

It would be be better if they could warm the breakfast plates and metal buffet servers as the baked beans were cold.

Absolute stunning castle, close to the centre of Borovets. From start to finish, I loved my stay here! The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. They were always at the desk to help with anything i needed such as taxis to the airport, board hire, sauna use and many other things. The slopes are only a 5 minute walk away but the hotel is situated just away from the busy area so it’s a very quiet location. The hotel also has everything you could need really. Rooms are huge and the shower is super powerful. There’s also a sauna you can use, which is great after a long day of boarding. You can hire your boots and board here as well, at a super cheap cost. Overall this is great value for money and would recommend anyone to stay here!

Facilities slightly dated and breakfast was a bit basic but still left full! Can’t complain with the price really

Very good location surrounded by pine forest, quiet and pieceful. Close to center and ski lifts. App. 200 m to Syntyakovo lift and 300 m to Rila hotel and Martinovi Baraki lift. We stayed in an apartment on 3rd floor. Room was spacy and comfortable, warm enough. There was a regular bed for the 3rd person. The kitchen unit is well equipped with cooking facility and microwave oven. Parking place is available just in front of the hotel. Breakfast was OK. Good value for money I recommend for families.

The room should have been better cleaned. I am not sure if the floor was mopped before we arrive. I do not expect cleaning every day in that kind of accomodation but at least somebody could empty the dustbins in the kitchen and bathroom. Wine glasses in the kitchen would be nice. A small rack in shower cabin to put own shanpoo, soap etc. is necessary.

The apartment was good size for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. It was comfortable, clean and anything needed for a good holiday was there. Staff are quite gentle and breakfast was good too. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking fir a holiday apartment in Borovets.

Excellent old villa with own parking, minutes from the slopes. Thanks to the staff who was always helpful and meet all questions and demands with a friendly smile. If you want to stay in the center of Borovets, avoiding overpriced hotels, and feel like a home choose Villa Ibar.

Great location within walking distance of 2 chair lifts and the main town centre. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Was very warm inside. Shower was lovely and hot! Breakfast was a decent buffet with choice. Ski Room downstairs to store boots and boards etc. Would stop here again without hesitation.

Slightly dated decor if that type of thing bothers you.

All recomendations for excelent accommodation. Cozy, comfortable, well equipped, great heating, nice mattresses to sleep on, good food and the nearest ski lift is 3 minutes away - EXCELLENT! I recommend it!!!
