The staff was amazing, kind and helpful. The location is good, but there isn't much too do around that bay apart from sun baking, swimming and relaxing on the beach (which is great, don't get me wrong eheh). It's a party hostel, so if you want calm, quiet and peace, it won't be for you. Otherwise it is great for a few drinks and meet people from around the world. And even party hard if you feel like it!

Had a little issue with some girls in the room bringing boys in our female dorm but that has nothing to do with hostel/management/staff, it's only a matter of people being disrespectful. Staff actually handled the matter very well and we appreciated it.

I stayed in a private bungalow and the AC broke on the second night I stayed, but the staff there immediately gave me a new room with the AC on to rest until the AC in my room was repaired. For the food here I give a score of 10, I tried several salad menus here and they were all delicious. The BBQ that is held every night here is very delicious too and also healthy for the menu served.

The water from the shower and sink is cloudy, but it seems like all the places on this island don't have clear water like in the city so it's not Mad Monkey's fault.

the place itself was super nice and very social, everyone was so friendly and the beach was unreal , the food was also really good and thoroughly enjoyed all our meals, they would put the football on, do karaoke, beer olympics , sports competitions so there is always something to get involved in , the rooms were also really good and comfortable , the staff were so friendly especially reece and sima ( she taught us a card game that we now can’t stop playing) and they would just sit and chat with everyone and have a good time , 100% recommend , i would say to definitely book to stay longer as we only did 3 nights and we wish we stayed longer

this isn’t the hostels fault but be prepared with bug spray as you will get a lot of mosquito bites

The hostel is next super well located next to the pier and by the beach. The vibe is insane, beach, games, party and super social. The hostel organises things every day such as boat tour for snorkeling and fishing, karaoke or volleyball games (amongst many others). I planed on staying 2 nights and I ended up 6 nights, it is the paradise. In the night you can see plancton (light) in the sea. Beds are confy, staf is amazing. Shoutout to my friend Davin, he has been fantastic!

The hostel food is a bit expensive compared to other places in Cambodia.

Great place to live the simple life by the beach. My private bungalow was very simple, but exactly as expected, and very clean. Appreciated the social activities organized everyday. The staff was always friendly and helpful -- thanks to Lauren and Nami and everyone else whose names I don't remember. It's not fancy but it's a wonderful hostel, a great choice for beachside fun with a social life and no frills. Enjoyed having lots of common areas to hang out, relax, make friends, enjoy the beach. Also the beach here was GREAT, very clean compared to other beaches I visited on the island.

Food from the restaurant was not too great. Usually they got my order wrong on the first try, and even when correct the food didn't taste good. I did enjoy the Green Goddess salad. Breakfast was so oily and rubbery (eggs and hashbrown) I couldn't eat it (but the staff was always so nice!). The hammocks on the private bungalow porches are hung too low so you cannot use them at all. Your body will sink flat to the floor even if you are a toddler. Please fix the hammocks or switch them out for for chairs.

Really nice place to stay! Amazing location with a perfect white beach and clear blue sea😍 Not far from a ferry stop. I booked a private bungalow and it was really nice and clean. I also absolutely loved hammocks on the beach and at the bungalow! Decent food at the restaurant and good Wi-Fi. And The stuff was super nice & friendly! There are some social events each evening, so it’s quite easy to connect and hangout with other people.

The service at the restaurant was a bit slow. I wish there would be more activities/tours during the day

We’ve been staying in some of the nicest accommodation in Cambodia and although this was a hostel the beach front bungalow was up there for us. Comfy bed, very clean and had everything we needed

It was fully booked so we couldn’t extend our stay so had to move next door. More expensive and not as nice. If you’re planning on going to bed early some could find it loud due to entertainment. Earplugs work once you’re ready to sleep. This didn’t affect our stay

I was there in the first week that they opened, and it was so nice! The ferry dropped us off at almost right next to the hostel. The best thing was the nice staff, they are a good mix of local and not local people. Especially a big thanks to Joe and Annemijn, to make the days a lot of fun. There were also a lot of activities during the day, that is a great way as a solo traveler to meet new people. If you are down to party, the people here are too, but if you wanna sleep early (like me the last night) the dorms a pretty good sound proof.

The staff! They are all nice and kind. Remy, Jimy and Jo are amazing, they do know how to entertain people. The location is also very nice, and in general there’s good atmosphere during day and also during night. I’ve extended my stay twice.

I’ve had my own bungalow, not the dorm. I think it’s a bit overpriced compared to the dorms for the facilities you have. Hot water in some of the bungalows doesn’t work properly, but it’s clean at least and some have direct view to the beach.

The best hostel to stay at on Koh Rong, especially if you are going to Nestival. The hostel had a great vibe, really good food and was very sociable. The rooms were cool and comfy and right on the beach. Very close to the pier for leaving the island too

Would have preferred the air con to stay on longer in the morning, especially after Nestival the night before 😂
