The location was excellent. Very central and across the street from the train station and pretty much walking distance to most places located in the city. The room I got was really nice (I think I read that some rooms are still being refreshed, but that wasn’t my case) and very large! My room had a king sized bed, there was also a sofa, a table and chairs if you wanted to eat or do work and then also a seating area near the window. As far as amenities go, the breakfast included was really good and a great way to start the day (the staff member who managed the breakfast buffet was also very charming. It was nice starting the day with a staff member who always seemed like they were in a good mood). Also the gym facilities were top notch. It was easy to get my workout in. They had pretty much any type of equipment you’d want. Overall, I would say I had a good experience and would definitely stay here again despite the annoying issues that I wrote about below.
Unfortunately the pool was closed while I was there so I didn’t get to try it out, but the setting looked inviting. It was kind of annoying that there was $250 deposit that wasn’t made known in advance anywhere when it was booked. Finally, the front reception desk is on the 10th floor, but the entrance is obviously on the main ground floor. When you’re checking out if you need to leave your suitcase for the day it’s through the staff on the ground floor where they have a luggage room. Except the staff is never there so you have to keep calling the front desk just to have someone hold your luggage or give it back to you. Also annoying if you’re on a time crunch and have a train (or plane) to catch.

Great location in downtown Montreal, literally on top of a metro station. Lovely, resort-like pool area. Helpful, accommodating staff.
Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance for three of the five days we were there and we weren’t informed of this prior to our arrival. It was very disappointing because it was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. We were offered free breakfast as compensation, which was great, but feel we should have been notified. The hotel is a bit dated and the rooms could use a renovation.

Oasis amidst a concrete jungle. When entering the building on street level, I wondered where was the hotel. Spacious room, good size shower, clean cut interior, good restaurant.
No ram for taking luggage up the upper level rooms. Lack clear signage to go to the 10th floor upon entering the building.

We loved that we can swim on a cold night and the hours was GREAT! Just wished the temperature was at 90. When we went swimming it was at 86. Comfortable but couldn't stay in long. Besides that it was wonderful..by the way there is worker named "Guy" he helped with breakfast wow great personality!!
We had no heat the first night and it was the coldest day this month -1 and we called front desk and someone brought us a heater, but it was still sooo cold. They gave us a free breakfast, but we didn't sleep much that night. Also it would be nice to have a movie channel for free (Netflix, etc.) so we can stay in a order room service and watch a movie.

Great location at the center of city. The pool and the garden on the top of building was great and cute. Easy to take metro and Viarail so it helped my travel a lot.
It would be great if amenities or maintenance are improved.

The menus had a very good selection ; food was very tasty, priced reasonably and staff were pleasant. We enjoyed the heated pool and outdoor lounging area. The location is great with the rooms on higher floors which was very quiet without street noise. The hotel had an oasis area for the family of ducks that made it their home.
The gym could have music playing and have it properly air conditioned in there . My spouse and I found it to be hot ( poorly ventilated) which makes it uncomfortable working out. There weren’t any 12 lbs weights only 10 then jumps to 15 lbs.

Arrived by VIA Canada train. Can either reach hotel via the underground path (complex at first) or across the road after exit the station (easy). Hotel located on 10th floor. Signage to indicate location of lobby and concierge found on ground floor. Store luggage on ground floor. The outside is of old design but the hotel inside is very modern and calm. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and polite. No staff strike while we were there. No lifts to rooms so ask for room on same floor as the Reception. Otherwise only a few steps to next floor. Comfy bed. Bathrobes provided for use going to heated pool. Keurig coffee machine with coffee provided. Tea, sugar and creamer provided. No electric kettle. Fridge. Restaurant has a reasonable selection. Hotel close to tourist attractions and easily reached by foot (5-15 mins). Train and subway across the road/via underground path. Took subway to St Joseph Oratory. Chinatown has several good places to eat (Kam Fong for yum cha). Montreal is a nice city and not crowded like Toronto. Beautiful and clean with many trees in the city. As expensive as Toronto. People here are very much bi-lingual.
Wifi is a little slow at times. Cleaning staff knocked but immediately open the room door. She did this twice. Management should advice staff to wait for 5-10 seconds to allow the occupant to get to the door. Did not replace the tea 2 days in a row. The extraction fan in the bathroom keeps coming-on by itself. Close the bathroom door to keep noise down.

Outdoor pool was amazing, so beautiful swimming at night, looking up at the sky and city lights. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. There were gardens, a beautiful duck pond and waterfalls to enjoy right in the heart of the city. The hotel overall had a great energy and atmosphere. Very convenient location, right across the street from the Gare Centrale and a 15 minute walk to Old Montreal.
The lighting in the hallway was a bit dim and there were only stairs to access my room from the reception desk. From the ground floor lobby, you take an elevator straight to the 10th floor. I didn't see any other elevators after that. I only had a light carry-on, so no issue, but for an older person with heavy luggage this could be a problem. No one checked with me to see if I needed any bags taken to the room.

Excellent location! (Surprised to find the hotel was on the 10th floor.) Bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice view. Enjoyed the heated pool with complimentary robes and towels. The breakfast buffet was good. The outdoor space with water features and ducks was a nice surprise. Staff was courteous.
Halls and room were decorated in black and were dark. Therefore, would like better lighting. For breakfast, we were asked (in French) if we had a breakfast package, but we knew nothing about this, so this conversation started in confusion, and the woman greeting us seemed frustrated by this. We didn't see the cost of the breakfast buffet posted anywhere and first saw the cost when paying. In the room, it seemed everything for the TV required a subscription, but I was just looking for local news and did not find it or any guide to help. A welcome booklet with helpful info or local info (e.g., nearest metro or bus, map) could be nice. (Consider that older visitors may not have smart phones to search for this info.) In the morning, the shower water temp did not go above warm.

I loved the pool. the rooms were nice we had one facing the pool so that was nice. everyone was friendly.
1) I was in room 1124, the area outside by the pool was dirty and unkept. leaves everywhere. garbage outside. landscape hasn’t been kept up. so it wasn’t as nice sitting outside. plus the door to get to the pool from our room was locked so we either had to walk all the way around to near the sauna door or we had to go through inside to get to pool which was a little annoying because we were told we can go right from our room to the pool through that door
