The place is in a very quiet town 1 hour away from Quebec city or national park. It looks very safe as we arrived around 8 pm and the concierge has already left. We were given 2 envelopes with our room number and key card in it. The entire place has no hotel staff so you really have to trust the security in the town to do that. In the next day, we find there's only one staff on the frontdesk who's taking care of everything in the building. Our rooms has toilet in each room so it's convenient and private. The room has big space, TV, a desk and a chair, and a wooden closet. The kitchen is the highlight as you can use all the utensils like pots to cook fresh dinner. We were very happy to cook dinner every night and ate the dinner at the big family room across the hallway. It's very quiet and doesn't have many people around so we're very eased and felt at home.

Well this place with such low price comes with catches. The right thing to do is not to set too high expectation because you're getting something of value. For example, we didn't realize this place has no AC. So we came by end of August, with really hot nights without air conditioner. No fan. It's really hot to sleep in summer like this. The bed only has 2 pillows. The pillows are as thin as a piece of bread, so you may wake up with sore body all over. My partner has to fold the thin pillow to make it slightly higher. We tried to find more pillows according to the check-in instructions ( there's no staff around) but couldn't find anything. If only there's someone around to help, or give us more pillows.

Many elements of the original structure were still in tact. The well kept fully functional kitchen on each floor is a plus for large families. We used the one available to us every day of our stay. There was also a separate dining room but we didn't use it because no one else seemed to use the table in the kitchen so our family of six sat at this table for most meals. We maximized on experiences locally, as well as in nearby Trois Rivieres and Quebec City. The staff was outstanding! Brigitte was especially attentive. 😊

Very cheap and a good place to crash for the night.

The location itself is either a remodeled hospital or something else in the same vein, so looked quite creepy. But it was clean and we rested well, so can't really complain as it was what we needed. Probably wouldn't stay more than one night in a row.

Very cool old building. It was a mix of a hotel and hostel. Really neat architect. Huge bedrooms. Nice and clean bathroom

It had bugs - alot of them! One of our beds made sounds - dated. No soap in the shower.

The restaurant at the hotel was exceptional. Way above anything we expected from reviews. Also a great little brewery in town, and fromageri just down the road.

Meals were delicious and generous! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was simple and comfortable. Ensuite bathroom was clean and well-stocked.

The breakfast was so good for the price! Added so much value. And the town that it is in is very cute to walk around and explore.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. I booked the room last minute and quite late, but she was very helpful and got me in.

It's a place with good cost-effectiveness
