The hotel is set in a lovely old colonial house. The rooms are quite big. The beds are comfortable, the linen and towels are white and clean. Breakfast was simple, but tasty (eggs, toasts, tea/coffee/chocolate, fruit and juice). It was also possible to have lunch at the hotel, which we did twice. Really nice homemade food for a good price. The rooftop had a lovely terrace with rocking chairs, hammocks and a small pool.

We had to upgrade our room because it was not comfortable. The one on the top floor was much better for a family. However, it wasn't clean. There was a layer of dust and rubbish under the beds. And the treadmill was a sore. As lovely as the hotel was, the area around was unpleasant: dirty, shit and piss around, dogs walking around, ugly homeless people passing by.

Cool colonial house vibe, near the beach, delicious food. Loved the common rooftop area with the pool/jacuzzi and the hammocks. The staff were incredibly helpful and went way beyond the expected, including when I had to deal with a medical emergency and completely change around my lodging plan.

Bring mosquito spray if mosquitoes love you. They get to you quite quickly on the ground floor.

The AC is rubbish, window view was of a wall 30cm away, no privacy in the bathroom and you can hear pounding music from La Brisa bar until 4am (this could be a good thing if you want to party, not if you want to sleep). Also, the 'double bed' was 2 singles pushed together.

From the moment we walked in, the hotel staff (especially Vladimir) warmly welcomed us and gave us good tips on where to go, where to eat & have a drink and what to see in Santa Marta. Our room was super clean and right across the swimming pool, which is on a rooftop that has a cute view of the city centre. Breakfast was good and served very quickly. The hotel is located in the heart of Santa Marta so you can reach all interesting points (Bahia, Malecon, Parque de los Novios, plus all the cute streets) by foot. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more! Rooms are fully equipped with AC and flat-screen TVs with several things to watch, and there is hot water (I know this can be a deal-breaker for some people).

This is NOT a negative point but more like a thing to consider: if you come on weekends, expect noise and loud music coming from the places around the hotel at night. But once again, you're in the city centre so this is normal!

Cons: the shower tub was clogged, the water flowed out in the first 3 minutes after use... the walls were moldy, poor colombian food...daily eggs at breakfast and sweet small 🥪...no vegetables, no cheese...

The staff were great. Very helpful and friendly always which to me is so important when travelling. Also, the location was what I wanted. Close to the water and to the best restaurants in town.

It is a very simple hotel. Rooms are basic. I would say backpacker style just that you don't share and have your own room. It was clean and tidy but NO luxurious by any stretch. Which is fair. Maybe I was just expecting a little more and out room did have a smell. Like a mouldy smell

The staff was great. Each of them did my stay great, Vladimir, Diego and Gerardo! Also the girls in the kitchen that assured I have the best breakfast ever (I'm celiac and they tried every day to offer me gluten free products). The room was great, spacious, comfortable and I have all I need: TV, air conditioner, ecc. The best was the tourist guidance from the staff always that offer me and told me every time what was best to visit or take in the city.

Host is awesome and friendly and very helpful. The location great too. Really near the beach and beachfront and near restaurants and clubs. It has a pool and rooftop bar. And a cool cat you can play with.

No hot water but that's very standard for Santa Marta.

Beautiful exterior in the historical centre of Santa Marta, convenient for the marine esplanade & touristy plazas. Cool, shady, quiet interior courtyard with a friendly reception area. Rooms on several levels running off from the courtyard, at first I was a bit put out because of no nice view or balcony, but the room was exceptionally clean with a comfortable, large bed & nice shower area. There is a small rooftop plunge pool, which I didn’t use & on another higher level a couple of hammocks & pleasant view of the city rooftops, which I did use. The breakfast was adequate & tasty, with a small plate of fresh fruit, toast & eggs cooked by the ladies at the counter, plus a fruit juice & coffee. Gianfranco & Diego, the two guys on reception were always friendly & happy to help.

Nothing much at all, the pool is small & no one really used it as it’s hot up on the roof during the daytime & I think guests were still worried over Covid. I sat on the rooftop under the shady awning, making video calls which was very pleasant. A shame that the ground floor can’t be utilised more, but perhaps that may change once Covid restrictions are relaxed & business picks up.

I spent just two nights here but they were very comfortable. The facilities were very clean, a large, comfortable bed, and working wifi and AC. The location is in the heart of centro and with this, there is some noise, mainly from the hostel next door. I was still able to sleep well. The included breakfast was a nice addition.

The bathroom has a door but no ceiling, so if you’re sharing a room, you may lack some privacy in there. As a solo traveler this was not an issue for me. There’s a hot tub on the roof, but doesn’t appear to be well maintained or inviting.
