It's very close to the airport, and the shuttle service is super useful. If it's not particularly busy I think they can help you get it at a custom time rather than just on the hour as advertised. Wifi is good too. Italian restaurant is fine, nothing special but good to have. Overall it was perfect for what we wanted - a quick stay before an early flight the following day.

The windows are quite thin given how close you are to the airport; they're not very thick so it can be a bit noisy (earplugs solves everything) and they rattled a lot when a plane would fly by. AC was a bit noisy and dripped everywhere during the night.

I stayed here before. Beautiful and homey, a few minutes to the airport SJO, Costa Rica. Very friendly staffs/Kevin was so knowledgeable and helpful, kind, friendly. Speaks fluent English. Location is great, clean room, poolside restaurant with Italian menu and pizzas. Love the pretty hotel dog, came to greet. The airport shuttle is awesome. You will get an email after reservation is made. Every corner of the property is so beautiful and cozy. The room is clean. Best staying before and after flights. Walking distance to Danny's restaurant. Hotel offers Breakfast menus option with fruits and drinks. Very good for me. It is what I saw on photos here.

The property is very nice once you get in the gate. Beds were comfortable, room is very clean, nice pool and restaurant. Had to leave at 3 am for the airport and they provided a shuttle, coffee was already available and an assortment of snacks to choose. Only a few minutes away from the airport.

Room did not have any where to set anything. The only surface was one small bed table. Suitcases, backpacks, purses, everything had to be on the floor. The entrance is hard to find because of the closed gate off a busy street and of course the noise as it’s close to the airport so you need earplugs.

This was a perfect place to stay for a night in San Jose if you need accommodation near the airport. We were pleasantly surprised that a hotel so close to the airport could be so peaceful and quiet. We arrived late, bought a beer from the front desk, and enjoyed the pool chairs and the nice gardens. Breakfast in the morning was great - served by the pool. A perfect way to start the day before we drove out of town!

The only reason I am not giving this place 10/10 is because there is no value in the location other than being close to the airport. There is nothing around that is interesting. But if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep near the airport, it is PERFECT.

Hotel Mango is a nice, clean place to stay near the SJO airport. The rooms are basic but nice, the AC was good and there is a refrigerator. Nice shower with hot water. The little restaurant behind the hotel, open for dinner, had really good margaritas and food. I left early morning before breakfast so I can't say how that was. The free shuttle to the airport was nice.

My bed was very firm, I had to put a blanket under the sheet for better comfort. It was very difficult for my driver to pull into the driveway to the hotel because he had to cross traffic. If you are driving, it would be best to drive down farther and turn around so you can turn right into the driveway. Be aware...the airplanes landing and taking off from the airport fly right over the hotel! After a couple of hours of being there, I didn't notice it as much.

I only spent one night at Hotel Mango because I had to take a shuttle early the next morning. Therefore I didn't really have the opportunity to use the pool or the restaurant. I was nonetheless very pleased with my stay: the staff was extremely nice and helpful, I enjoyed the free costarican coffee in the morning while watching and listening to the birds in the backyard. The WiFi in the room was great, I could make all the calls I needed before going to bed. It was my first stay in Costa Rica and I loved it.

It's too bad that the hotel does not provide an easy transfer to the airport after landing. The hotel is quite close to the airport but it is very hard to get there by foot because you have to cross several roads with heavy traffic (I would advise against it at night especially!). So the main way is to take a cab or a uber, which can easily take > 10 minutes due to the intense traffic in Alajuela.

The hotel staff is always happy to help and give everything you ask for, even arranging a taxi and tour. They are so nice and friendly. The rooms are clean and well organized, and they have a daily cleaning for the rooms (up to you if you want it daily). The free breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a lot of choices. They have an Italian restaurant in the vicinity, but if you want to go out and try other food, in the nearby area (walking distance), there are 3 restaurants that you can definitely dine at. Expect a little noise since the hotel is totally near the airport. All in all, everything was excellent. I have been here for 5 nights.

It's a perfect welcoming place and i felt safe as a solo traveler. Proximity to the airport & city mall was very convenient for currency change, e-sim card & buying necessities. The Staff were kind & accommodating to all my inquiries navigating San Jose. It's home away from home especially if you're passing through and going to other locations in Costa Rica

As expected by any hotel near the airport, you'd be disturbed by the noise of the airplanes flying over the hotel

The hotel is very secure with manned gates to enter. It was also located close to the airport even though we weren't flying it brought us close to car rental places. What we really liked was the Italian restaurant in the hotel. Good food and very good value. We actually bought Calzones for our road trip the next day and ended up having them for dinner. Very good! The pool looked very nice but we were only there for overnight stays so did not have a chance to use the pool.

Hotel was very close to airport. However, the jets seem to go right over the hotel. Spivey day the day, not so much at night. Shuttle service was good. We had supper at The restaurant on the property and it was good. Thr restaurant was nicely decorated. The lady at the registration desk was very helpful with a couple problems I had. Helped me with a problem getting my cell phone back to me, ordering food on line, and exchanging my American money to Colons.
