The staff was excellent, English fluent, knowledgeable, and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a generous menu and hot coffee. The pool area had a variety of lounging and conversation areas and, at night, was well guarded. Except for the troop of howler monkeys appearing regularly each evening in nearby trees, the location was tranquil. Truth be told, we looked forward to watching the monkeys. There was also a gym and yoga area we used each morning. Finally, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom and walk-in shower huge.

The shadeless windows featured translucent glass rendering seeing outdoors impossible. If we had not brought sleeping masks with us, the outdoor security lights would have made sleep very difficult.

Site staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast had nice options, having AC was great. We were glad to be staying a little bit out of downtown, was a quiet and relaxing spot.

The manager wasn't super proactive about arranging some of the activities that we were interested in, but she did hook us up with a great surf instructor and we weren't very proactive about following up with her, so an observation more than a complaint. Tamarindo is a very easy place to DIY your adventuring. She was also very responsive when we had a leak in our unit after some heavy rain, and that was a much more important thing to assist with!

Excellent holiday bungalows with kitchenette, with a super swimming pool. Very comfortable beds. Set back one block from the busy Tamarindo beach - about a 5 minute walk which means you don't get all the noise from the road or beach parties. Close enough to Langosta beach for a more peaceful experience. Fantastic choice at breakfast and very friendly staff who were happy to help organize transport to Liberia airport (about 90 minutes away).

Great location- Less than 5mins walk away from the beach and main streets. Clean room and facilities. Bed was big and comfy(firm mattress). Strong hot shower, lovely poolside and breakfast area. Good, plentiful breakfast options.

The hotel stated its rooms or bungalows had either the pool or garden view. But the room we were in, #9, had neither of that. Nor was there a small terrace. That’s alright if you’re there for a night like we were. Not so much if you intend staying for longer, and paying nearly $100/night.

I liked how I felt valued from the moment I walked in… they were anticipating my arrival and already knew my name before I said a word. I arrived 4 hours before check in so they locked my bag in the office while I went out and made sure my room was ready asap. The security guard on duty at night was great, very friendly. They grounds are kept up wonderfully and has a lot of character. I wouldn’t definitely stay there again.

Nothing. Swim up pool bar wasn’t open but don’t think I would have used it much anyway.

Really really good location just off the main road and about 5/7 mins from the beach. the road was well lit in the dark for a solo traveller.

the pool area was shaded for most of the morning and no1 was using it when i was there. i think i would have used it if others were. maybe everyone was just at the beach like me though. my bed was also a bit hard..

adorable, comfortable, the setting, the bungalows are fantastic, clean, and steps to the pool.

wish that the swim up bar was active/staffed serving at some point during the day or evening, the hot tub not working/dirty but I believe the place is still working on improving both of these things. the breakfast staff was ok, but the main desk counter staff extremely friendly.

Ron and Toni were fantastic and really helpful. They made us feel welcome and were very helpful with town information and transit info to and from Liberia. The room was clean and comfortable and a great place to regroup. The pool was great and centrally located and offered a perfect and quiet respite from a long day in the ocean. It was a perfect place to cool down in some fresh water, read a book, have a cold one, and DECOMPRESS.

The only thing I didn't like is I didn't stay here a couple more nights. I could have used the relaxation and it's a good place to base out of for other day trips and adventures. Otherwise, not much to report here. This place hit the spot for me.

We had a big size room ( 1 large bed and one small) at the second floor. Very private with garden view. The swimming pool is big enough. We liked the quietness of the hotel. It is also very close to the beach and the town. Playa Langosta is 30 mn walk and we would recommend to visit it! A nearly deserted beach with breathtaking views. Breakfast was OK.

The bed was not at all comfortable…and I weight only 72kgs. Pillows were made of foam… Wifi was weak. no coffee machine in the room.

Beautiful boutique hotel. The pool and the swim-up bar/outdoor breakfast tables are in the center with each suite surrounding it, with their own outdoor lounge spaces provided. There are lots of greens and flowers, making it feel very organic. I loved the staff: they are genuinely kind and work hard to make your stay perfect. The maintenance team of two are always in full swing, keeping everything working, beautiful, and clean.
