Really clean and cozy bungalow! The pool area was reallly nice to relax. The staff prepared a fresh breakfast every morning and they cooked something different each day. Nico & Letti were really friendly and helpful - they provided many good reccomendations and activities. The location was good - you can totally get everywhere without a car.

Everything was amazing but the only downside was that there was no AC in the room - only a fan. During the day it was really hot in the room but it got colder in the evening.

The property is absolutely stunning and only give minutes walk from the beach and main town. Four individual bungalows with a communal pool and dining area. Each villa has a hammock, sunbed and washing line underneath with accommodation upstairs. Breakfast is made fresh every morning and they can accommodate vegetarians. The owner, Nico, is an excellent host and was able to help us arrange a sunset catamaran cruise. One of the best places I have ever stayed!

We wanted a place to decompress after a week long tour through the country and BB did not disappoint! It was very relaxing. We took full advantage of all offerings including excellent recommendations from places to eat, things to do and visiting an uncrowded beach (Playa Grande) for which you take a boat across to reach.

short walk to bars and restaurants and shopping, and nice little quiet oasis at the end of the day. Nico was the perfect “hands on” owner. great breakfast that changed every day. Tree house concept was fun and Nico’s card tricks over breakfast were great.

pool was cold and because of the canopy cover it was tough to jump into as it never heated up, but nice and clean and clear and there if really needed. Rooms a bit small, but not too bad. Ceiling fan has three speeds and needed due to No Air, but again still comfy!

This was a great place to stay in Tamarindo. The small complex was an oasis in a busy tourist town. Liked the breakfast (different everyday), coffee available early, lots of closet space so you could hide all of your luggage and keep the place neat, quiet and excellent ceiling fan, small fridge, free bottled water everyday. Finally, we spent a lot of time in the pool as it was 35 degrees and up while we were there - it was a lovely refuge. Book it!

The bungalow was small, just enough room for the bed really so you will not be spending much time inside. However, the space underneath the bungalow with a daybed and hammock make up for that!

Nico and the staff there were incredibly helpful, communicative and accommodating. The place was just perfect for me traveling alone. I felt safe and cozy in the bungalow. Area is 5 minute walk from restaurants and social life. Would definitely come again. Thank you!

There is a road you walk up which is around the corner from the bungalow. It’s very quiet and off the main road. This is a side note for woman to just be aware when walking back alone at night. I asked my friends to walk me back to be safe.

The property itself is beautiful! It’s off on a side road so it is also really quiet and private, but close enough to walk downtown or to the beach. The bungalow itself was cozy and clean, and we loved using the space under the bungalow with the hammock and chair. We always had the pool to ourselves when we used it, which you won’t get at a bigger hotel. The ladies that work at the Bungalows do a wonderful job at keeping the place clean and they make a great breakfast, which is free every morning. Nico, the owner, was incredibly helpful and really accommodating. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend The Beach Bungalows!

We didn’t realize there wouldn’t be a door to the bathroom, but if my boyfriend or I needed privacy, we would just sit in the nice hangout area under the bungalow while the bathroom was occupied. There is also no AC, which we knew going into our stay, so it would get quite warm at times, but there is a ceiling fan.

breakfast was excellent- it a was a local breakfast but very different from all the other places we stayed- enjoyed very much!

I was shocked to find that there was no AC, but once the sun went down we found we were actually chilly with the stiff breeze that came in to our room during the night

Very cute bungalows, short 5 min walk to center. Host is extremely nice and very helpful, very efficient communication beforehand. Very good breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

No toilet door and no AC. In the end with the fan and the outside breeze it wasn’t too bad and we slept fine!

Everything was beyond my expectations. Nico and his wife, along with the rest of the staff, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was private and away from the noise but close enough to the action if you wanted to stay out all night. We felt incredibly safe and will definitely be staying again!

There was nothing that we did not like, everything was great the location, the staff and beyond. It was our only "adult only" hotel that we stayed at during our time in Costa Rica and it was a welcomed reprieve :)
