Great location. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Beautiful room.

I could feel the individual springs in the mattress. Not much in the way of soft cushioning on top. It wasn't so bad I didn't sleep, though.

I really don’t want to admit how great this place is because I will probably never be able to get a booking there again if it gets any more popular. Villa Diana is a wonderfully modernized property housed in a historic building. We loved the beautiful and gracious room with top quality furnishings in impeccable shape and cleanliness. The staff Marcos was so helpful and it was so clean (I hope you guys tip housekeeping because it is that good!) and quiet and the location was excellent for traveling in and out of Split via bus and boat services. Also nearby are tour services and everything Split has to offer. Top quality breakfast with many options and cooked to order eggs. Also gluten-free for us. Unfortunately, for Split in 2024 expenses are increasing, but at least you get your money’s worth when you pay more here. We did local market shopping, tours in the city, day tours that left the city, and took the bus to Togir so easily from this excellent site. The thick walls and windows on this building insulate you and it is very quiet. This neighborhood also goes to sleep at night. But you only have to go a couple of blocks to party hearty all night.

I wish it cost a little bit less, but that would be regarding everything in Split, which has some inflation issues. This is a little tough for everyone, especially the locals.

We spent three night in this small hotel before joining a 7 day cruise around the Dalmatian Islands on a small ship. The location - near to the Port and the Palace - was perfect for us. The staff were very attentive and helpful in advising us on things to do and places to eat. The room and bed and facilities were great. The food - we had breakfast each day and one lunch and one dinner - were also first rate. All the staff were great but Marko in particular really went the extra mile. We had booked the same hotel for our last night at the end of our cruise and knew after our experience before the cruise that this was the right decision.

Cannot think of anything that could have been improved

The location is excellent . It’s 5 min walk to Split historic centre, the town’s pedestrian zone with its attractions and shops and seafront/harbour promenade with its many restaurants. However the hotel (Villa Diana ) has no lift and so there are many stairs to climb even to reach reception and many more stairs to reach the top floor. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, waited for my late evening arrival and a young man carried my suitcase up to the top floor and carried it downstairs on check out. The hotel lies on a main road so is very noisy (my room was on the road) if the windows are open. Fortunately the windows have double glazing and there is air conditioning so the windows can be closed and one then doesn’t hear the heavy traffic. Good WiFi in room. Clean room that is beautifully decorated. Bathroom adequate size with excellent shower. A small fridge and a kettle for making tea/coffee made my stay very pleasant. The breakfast is copious: the variety of food on offer great. The price of the hotel including breakfast is good value for money if one is fit enough to climb stairs and carry luggage.

No lift. Many stairs to climb to top floor. Noisy if one doesn’t close windows and use air conditioning.

We stayed here the first two nights of our visit in Croatia. We hit some travel snags immediately when phone plan didn’t work and I needed a pharmacy for a crucial medication. Bojo and Marco were so kind and helped us get what we needed. The staff took the time to converse with us because we were very curious about day to day life in their country. For such young men, their people skills were excellent. The young men in the restaurant were equally great and greeted us with a smile whenever we arrived back at the hotel. Overall friendly atmosphere that made us feel so welcome. Should also be noted that the hotel was only 2 or 3 blocks from the market and the Palace and harbor. Very convenient. Easy walk for anyone who doesn’t want to drive or taxi.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We came back from our 7 day cruise around the Dalmatian Coast around 08:30 and made our way to the hotel. We were greeted by Marko who was able to get us into our room early (we had only expected to be able to leave our bags and to have to come back later)! The setting of the hotel is great - close to both the port and Palace. The room and bed were very comfortable and the food excellent. All the staff were very attentive and we really enjoyed our second (if brief) stay.

Nothing! We really cannot fault the service we received.

A fantastic stay at this hotel! Impeccable service, excellent restaurant, cozy and clean rooms, and a central location. Very close to the Old Town and the Beach. The days we couldn’t join the breakfast we even got lunch packages. The staff, especially Marko, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He was the most lovely and helpful host we ever had! :) Marko elevated the quality of our stay, I truly hope we will meet again. If we come back to Split we will stay in Hotel Villa Diana for sure! Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Location was so central. 5 minute walk to town and 10 mins to the beach. Room service daily with clean towels provided. Beach towels also available at reception. Cool water at reception. Staff were so helpful in particular the Filipino staff. Also liked that eggs were cooked fresh to order alongside a Mediterranean breakfast choice. Air conditioning in the room was a bonus.

Room 6 was very much on the small side and the sloping ceilings above the bed was not ideal. Wine and Prosecco prices are pricey.

Marco and his team were always very helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced. Great breakfast. Location was fine being within five minutes of ferries, buses and the Riva

On our second stay our room had a faint musty smell so we had to open all the windows. Unfortunately they faced the front so it was a tad noisy with early morning traffic. Also the small walk-in shower sent water all over the bathroom floor.

- The staff was amazing! Very thoughtful and caring. - The breakfast buffet was also very good with lots of options. - The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the old town and a nice sandy beach. - The room size was very comfortable, with space to put the luggage without being in the middle.

- The shower did not have a door so we had to be very careful not to make a mess in the bathroom when showering. Aside from that, everything else was perfect!
