The place is absolutely great! It's only a few minutes walk to a cozy little beach and about 20-25 minutes walk to the Fig Tree Bay, along a beautiful marked trail. We were staying in low season and Nikolas was so kind to let us check in early and upgrade us to an upper floor apartment (with a wonderful balcony with sea view). The apartments were spotlessly clean and had everything for our comfort. The beds were super comfy, the pillows of just perfect firmness, the curtains kept the sun light out. Some reviews mention the noise from the road, but it didn't bother us at all - you could hear a car passing once in a while, but that's just normal noise, you only notice it if you're awake, not something that prevents you from sleeping. We truly enjoyed our stay and can 100% recommend this place.

Nothing at all

Proteas Mare Suites offers a pleasant stay with clean and well-decorated rooms, a balcony with a lovely sea view, and a convenient location close to the beach and local attractions. The bathroom was well-stocked with fresh towels and toiletries, and having free parking on-site was a great plus. The owner was very friendly and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it's a great place for a relaxing stay, especially if you don’t plan on cooking much. With a few upgrades to the kitchen, it would be even better!

The kitchen facilities could be improved. With only one induction burner, cooking was quite limited, and the available cookware was insufficient—especially since the provided pan didn’t work with the burner. A second burner and a better selection of pots and pans would make a big difference for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals.

Nikolas was an incredible host, our flight landed in the evening and due to some delays at the airport, we arrived at Proteas Mare later than expected yet he was there to greet us and see us to our room which was perfectly clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The location is perfect and easy to find as it's on a main road, close to bars and restaurants but not close enough for any noise disturbance. There are two beaches within a 5 minute walk, both of which are small but beautiful and not over-crowded. The air-con and fan work so well in keeping the room cool in the heat and humidity and the multiple windows and sliding doors make the room bright and airy. My husband and I were very satisfied with our accommodation and will definitely consider rebooking for our next visit to Cyprus. The bath towels were a bit thin and rough (assume from the regular washing and bleaching) but other than that, we really can't find fault with Proteas Mare Suites.

The room was very nice, cozy and lovely 😊 The location is wonderful!! Very easy to get along the area, bus number 101, 102 take to konnos bay and agia napa. The walking trips from konnos bay to agia napa are absolutely amazing! The harbour of agia napa is also very nice! It is also very easy to get by bus to Larnaca. The bus no. 711, locates near the suites! The first one goes around 5:30 in the morning. I will attach the timetable.

There isn't enough light in the room. Very low pressure of the water.

Really good location, close to the touristic area but not too close so you do not try and sleep right above the club. In terms of noise probably still one of the better options compared to many others in the area. Host was easy to reach. Crib was easily available for baby. Parking in front of the door. Host was quite available to help with recommendations etc and was still around even though we arrived later than originally planned.

Noise insulation is weak, you can hear the cars driving by all night (I am a light sleeper though) even if there is not an insane amount of traffic. Keeping the windows open at night is impossible. After reading many reviews in this whole region it seems hard to get a good sleep anywhere on the south eastern side of Cyprus esp. anywhere near the beach. This place is probably still one of the better options about noise. Consider bringing a noise insulating sleeping mask or sleeping in a different area of Cyprus. Bed/mattress could be a bit wider, I think it was only around 150 or 160 cm vs the more common 180-200 cm in hotels.

Nicolas and his wife were so accommodating and welcoming. They are very friendly and I felt like I was staying with close friends than just renting a room. Nicolas was always available for anything we needed with our room or just info about Cyprus. The place was very clean and although there is no smoking allowed the room we were going to stay in smelled a little like smoke so Nicolas gave us a free upgrade. I even brought the wrong charging adapter and he just let me use one of his then let me keep it! If you have a family or really want some peace and quiet this is the place to stay.

Not much to say about what we did not like. Everything worked great. Only thing we lacked was a washer so don’t expect that. We washed a few clothes by hand and dried them on the clothes rack.

It's a very great appartment in a very comfortabe position of protaras, right by the bus stops so you can reach ayia napa within 10 min and other nearby beaches and restaurants, also 2 min away from an ATM machine and a couple of supermarkets open till late at night, and a couple of minutes distance from great beaches. I have to say i Really enjoyed my stay, the place i got was spacious enough for two people to stay in, the price was very reasonable especially that you wouldn't expect such facilities in a very touristic area as protaras for such a good price, the appartment had all the commodities from a stove to microwave to a coffee machine, dishes etc..., 2 Balconies one with a great scenery of the sea, with much access for sunlight. comfortable and well equipped. What's most appreciatable is how available the owner's complete availabilty was: The night before i had my flight i lost the key to the apartment, I called the owner around 3 a.m. ( i had to be at the airport at 6), i had the spare key handed to me within 15 minutes, in the middle of the night. I would reccomend this compound of appartments to almost anyone who would want to visit the region.

It is absolutely comfortable, there is plenty of space in the room. It is far away enough from the bussiness of the city so you can definitely rest and work, as it was my case. Nikolas is also very friendly and kind, and he offered also other facilities, E.G a bike to cycle around (recommended).

It is next to the highway that connects Protaras to Ayia Napa, so in the mornings you will hear a bit of the traffic but is not overwhelming with the balconies closed.

Very clean and spacious apartment with a balcony with great sea view! Has a small fridge and all cooking appliances and dishes, coffee machine with capsules. Very close to a wonderful sandy beach. We really loved staying there and will definitely come back! Nikolas and his wife are very friendly and wonderful people, they helped us with everything) it’s a wonderful place for a holiday in Protaras:)

Location and the view are the greatest advantages. Not far from Protaras city centre, yet far enough from noise and dirt of the city. Great place if want to be close to nature, but not in the wild. Very quiet neighbourhood. Supermarket and bus stop by nearby. Seafront promenade and beautiful beaches nearby. Coffee machine, kettle, fridge and amenities in the room. Everything was perfectly clean. I recommend this place and would gladly stay again.
