The hotel was conveniently located less than a mile from downtown, making walking easy. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite, patient, and cooperative, demonstrating professionalism throughout my stay.

There was a serious internet issue during my stay. I checked into the hotel around 3:30 PM, but there was no internet connection until 7:30 PM. Despite multiple complaints, the staff was unable to resolve the issue, claiming it was the responsibility of another company, which they had difficulty contacting. Additionally, during my three-night stay, the bed sheets were not changed, the room was not cleaned, and no fresh towels were provided.

Excellent location where I could walk to every place I wanted to go. My room was basic but clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff I talked to were helpful. The section where my room was located was kept clean but some of the exterior halls and balconies needed attention & refurbishing. This is an older property. Breakfast had a variety of food available, but the juice machine ran out of orange juice, apple & cranberry was available.

There was only one ice machine. The sign on the 2nd floor ice machine sent me to the ground floor but that one was not working either. When I returned to the lobby, I was told the working machine was on the 4th floor. There was scaffolding around part of the building although I did not see many workmen. On my last day, I tried the orange juice dispenser but no orange juice, only water came out, but the out-of-order stickers had been removed.

Great location, good size, great admin! Conner was really friendly and helped me organize moving my stuff in.

There's construction which is fine, but the workers are really loud and smoke in the guest pathways, which isn't necessary. The room staff are avoidant also, they wouldnt take the dirty towels or replace them. Also the king bed is sideways for some reason so I had to sleep on an angle or my feet went off the edge, which I didn't mind but is weird and if you have a partner it would be an issue I think. Also the bath didn't have HOT water, just warm, which wasn't a big deal. The fridge temperature control was missing so my food froze.

It was a great location for us. The staff, especially Corey in valet and Beth at the front desk were terrific. The AC in the room was great and the shower water pressure was good. The TV worked well.

The property is in dire need of a remodel. The property seems old and in need of cleaning and/or painting. The parking garage stairs seemed dirty and many of the paths to the room had visible trash like torn paper or stains. One of the upstairs rail’s bottom support was completely eaten through with rust. The carpet in the room looks old and we were surprised that the room had neither a microwave nor a small refrigerator. One of the elevators was not working the entire time we stayed (2 nights). The parking rates for overnight seemed exorbitant. I believe more people would stay in the parking garage if the rate was about half.

To everyone complaining about this hotel, what did you expect from BY FAR the cheapest hotel option in downtown Austin? Yes there was some paint chipping in my room and yes the exterior was dated, but the linens were clean and the staff was very friendly. I got exactly what I paid for and wasn't expecting more. 10/10 it met expectations.

I got late check-out but they still knocked on my door to clean early. They were understanding and left me alone when I told them I had a late check-out.

For the price -> Decent breakfast that is acceptable (but good for price). Clean room, nice bedding, nice bed. The location is outstanding though!

The building looks old, needs painting job, and the infrastructure was not great. But the rooms inside were very decent. The lobby was not great and the check-in was very late.

Please see my other reviews for a more details, summary of the awesome staff. One shout out to Crystal for grabbing me an egg because I missed breakfast. My back is essentially broken, that’s why I was late. But the staff listens they care that’s all that matters to me.

Other guests who are rude, self-centered, and self-serving.

Within walking distance of the Texas State Capitol, museums, and a couple of very good restaurants. No daily housekeeping provided, but the front desk staff was fine about replenishing supplies.

Valet-only parking, operated by a separate company, was a bit of a surprise, as was the very high rate of $50+ per night. But there are no alternatives within walking distance of the hotel. No on-street parking; local garages are restricted by access or length of stay.

The location was convenient and everything was within walking distance. I love that part.

The toilet hardly flushed but it wasn't a big deal and the first night the room was hot and humid. The temp stayed at 76 all night even with the thermostat on high setting. The second night it was cooler.

The BEST part of my trip was a staff member by the name of GEORGE!! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and each time I was locked out or my key wasn't working it's like he came out of NOWHERE to help. He's amazing and remembered my name each time and that felt so good. I called him my " Hero" because he helped out of nowhere with several things. I wanted to take him with me. he is so loyal to this hotel . He's awesome and I would come back just to have him remember me!!
