We went for a 4-day London city break and we discovered this perfect location when it comes to value for money accommodation. Everything was perfect, the staff was very nice and helpful, the room was what we needed for a family of 4 (there was a large bed and a sofa), the room and the hotel was very clean, good wifi, quite good breakfast, there is a big parking place but we didn't need it, the train is at 10 min walk (there is a 30min trip to London Bridge station), and all this for less than a third that we would have paid for any hotel we found in central London (this obviously depends on the time of year you make the reservation, we booked only 3 weeks in advance for this trip). I totally recommend it!

only a minor issue but that didn't bother us so much - the hotel is closed to the roads and you can hear the traffic but it is not a major issue. Still, if available, ask for a room with view to the inside area (odd numbers from what i've seen in our case for the 1st floor)

Handy location, decent size room, comfy bed, soundproofing is good, did not heard people coming or going through the night. Even quiet with window open. Breakfast was nicely laid out, good selection, dinner was good, and a good selection of drinks with a nice seating area.

The hot breakfast food was abit hit or miss on whether it was hot, probably the way it's kept warm in the pots? Air con seemed to be struggling to cool room but no issue as was able to have window open and did not affect our stay.

The staff were very helpful and good at their roles. Ensuring everything was at a high standard. The room was comfortable and clean. Food was really good I had a mixed grill on the first evening and my wife had the lasagne, we both had the fish and chips on the second night. There was no process to indicate to the staff that we had booked inclusive evening meals with the room which caused some confusion as I was presented with the food bill but it was sorted out by the manager. The process needs to be looked at but I expect very few people book their rooms with meals included. However there is limited,if anywhere, locally to eat because of the location of the hotel.

Great size room, comfortable bed. Good food & nice space to sit and have a drink. Very good location for our needs. The hotel is having work done (almost finished by the look of it), it’ll be really nice once all finished. Excellent value for money. If you want to go into London it’s only a 20 minute train from Bexley which makes it a great cheap option rather than staying in London.

Workmen working early outside our window, but it was just bad timing for us as it’ll be finished in a few days by the look of it. The main road is quite noisy but with windows closed you can’t hear it.

Lovely room, very clean and well appointed, and it was nice to arrive to find the windows open so it was nice s and cool on a good day. We liked the 'personalised' welcome waiting for us on the TV screen. The bed was comfy and we both slept really well. Breakfast was very good with excellent choice. All the staff were very customer service orientated and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Only small things which didn't ruin our stay but worth a mention for future guests: * the room facilities state there is conditioner - there isn't. * There were 2 of us. We stayed 2 nights and returned quite late on our 2nd night to discover that a whole set of towels had been removed from the room so there was only one bath towel for 2 of us - it was discovered only at the time of getting out of the shower so too late to run down to reception to request another towel. Probably just an oversight.

The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous as ever. The evening meal and breakfast were very good. The hotel was as quiet as ever. A pleasant stay.

The toilet did not always flush first time and you could not use the sink because there was no plug for the sink. My wife and I have been staying at this hotel since the 80s, it has always been our first choice. However, I am not in favour of the cashless environment that you have now created. I have no problem with card payments, what I have a problem with is being told that I have no alternative. It is the Kings currency and you have no legal or moral right to stop me using it. For this reason I will consider alternative arrangements on my next visit to London.

We enjoyed the whole experience, staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. The bed and bedding was so soft and comfortable, I had the best nights sleep. I loved the layout and decoration of the room, I can't really comment on the location overall as I don't know the area too well but it was a 10 minute drive from the event we were going to so suited us well. The breakfast was very good as well!

I can honestly say that there is nothing I didn't like or would change about the experience. We did have to wait a little while at the front desk when we first arrived but once the staff realized that we were there, they were very apologetic and attentive.

+++ Reception Staff is very friendly and helpful. + Good area to stay - 10mins to the train station + The room has a TV where you can stream netflix etc from your devices which is really cool. + Free Wifi, very good connection in the room + theres a cettle and tea in the room + we felt very comfortable staying there + no noise in the night + good temperature in the room + the hotel looks really nice + the bed was comfortable

- the plastic thing for the showerdoor was already broken when we got the room, made quite a mess after a shower. - we stayed for 5 nights, the bedsheets weren't changed once even with a stain on them...

As it was my husband and I's wedding night we were given a free room upgraded and a free glass of prosecco each on arrival. The bed had heart shaped towels and heart confetti which was a beautiful surprise and really appreciated! They went to an extra effort to make our stay special. The extra wine/beer and snacks were a lovely touch too. When we ordered Starbucks coffee at the bar the following morning I ordered soya as my husband is lactose intolerant and the manager cleaned the coffee machine as there's only one. I know this is usually protocol but we've been to so many places that haven't bothered to clean their machine and it's negatively impacted my husband so it meant a lot that they cared enough to follow protocol and clean the machine - even though it took longer/more effort.

Need to update menu in the bedrooms as it says 24 hour food on certain hot items but the kitchen closes at 10pm and only cold sandwiches are available 24 hours.

Room was good and clean. Bar and restaurant facilities very good.

Dour member of staff on reception and miserable blond lady on breakfast duty who should have had more experience left to the younger members of staff to be pleasant, smiley and helpful. There are big problems with the unmanned, unlit car park which directly overlooks the A2. Builders van’s especially are being targeted every night. My husband was parking the car at 8pm and there was a masked guy drilling the lock out of a company van. He saw my husband, swore, jumped in a car and sped off. When mentioned to the same receptionist when checking out she was wholly unconcerned and offered no reasoning. My son who is a builder and lives locally says it is happening all the time in that car park. So beware!
