I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm and welcoming attitude stood out, making me feel right at home. Every member of the team was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The service at the hotel was nothing short of amazing. The front desk staff were efficient and helpful, housekeeping maintained the room impeccably, and any requests were promptly addressed with a smile. The room was spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the view from my room was breathtaking. Overall, the Clayton Hotel provided an outstanding stay, primarily due to the incredible staff and their dedication to excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Glasgow. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable.

We have been staying here whenever we visit Glasgow as it is central

It is now mainly corporate meetings/training venue so full of working people the bar area now doubles as a meeting place laptops loud chatter not a comfortable relaxed place to sit and have a cocktail and chat. We always had room service but this visit on top of the menu price it’s a £5 charge to bring the card machine up as they don’t take cash. There also is a Spanish gentleman behind reception who is scary he needs to maybe learn customer service and smile.

We recently stayed at the Clayton Hotel in Glasgow, and this hotel deserves a perfect 10/10 rating for its outstanding qualities that left a lasting impression on us. First and foremost, the location of the hotel is simply unbeatable. Situated right in the heart of the city center, it provided convenient access to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shops. The vibrant energy of Glasgow was right at our doorstep, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the spectacular view we had from our room. Overlooking the river, the scenery was nothing short of mesmerizing. This stunning view added a touch of magic to our stay. Furthermore, the Clayton Hotel exceeded expectations when it came to cleanliness. Our room was immaculate, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the entire property. The housekeeping staff should be commended for their dedication to maintaining a pristine environment for the guests. One aspect that truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. When we mentioned to them that my wife experiences headaches from air conditioning, they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They promptly offered us a different room with a window that could be opened, allowing for natural ventilation. Their attentiveness and willingness to ensure our comfort were truly remarkable and greatly appreciated.

The only minor downsides we encountered during our stay at the Clayton Hotel was that the beds were slightly shorter than expected, resulting in our feet extending beyond the edge and the blankets provided were a bit too thick for the season, given our visit in the middle of May.

Very friendly staff throughout, from initial check-in onwards, indicating, I would say, a happy team. Room was comfortable, though functional, a good that we were able to open a window for fresh air in the night as the air-con can be a bit harsh. All was very clean. The Hotel's location is excellent for Glasgow Central Station and for the endless supply of pubs and restaurants in the streets behind. Breakfast selection plentiful and tasty; actually the best thick bacon I've had for ages! We would certainly stay again and not hesitate to recommend to others.

Only two minor beefs. A hotel of such standing should strive to supply better quality toilet paper, and secondly, nothing against the modern preference for self-service breakfasts (which was very good here, to be fair,) however with the plethora of staff that were available it would be a nicer touch to have a pot of steaming tea personally brought to one's table. A chance to reintroduce a touch of old-fashioned service there Mr, Clayton.

Online check in/check out was great. Didn't need to queue up and just came straight in and out. Bed was comfortable Room was clean Good location

No fridge in the room. Finding room/hotel layout was confusing Our room was on the 1st floor so wecould hear some outdoor noise at times.

The staff! Glasgows motto is " the people make Glasgow," and it's true. I had an issue with my payment, which turned out to be an error on my end, and the manager who was on reception( his name I cannot remember)the evening of 20/12/24 was amazing and so so helpful. The hotel was in a good location close to the central train station and a short walk to bus stops, a 20-minute stroll to the Barras, and the barrowland ballroom, which is a great place to see a gig which we did. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the bar was reasonable for drinks, cannot review the restaurant as we are out. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, very easy to get to shops and restaurants etc within just a few minutes walk. Lovely, clean room, bathroom was lovely as well with a very nice walk in power/ rainfall shower. Staff on reception were very friendly and at the bar. Cannot comment on the quality of the food or drink prices at the bar as I didn't eat or drink here on this occasion however, the bar looked a lovely setting for a meal or quiet drink and I do wish I did try it while I was here although I have to come back to Glasgow soon so will hopefully find a good price for a room at the Clayton so I can come back and try the bar this time.

Modern hotel, with well appointed public spaces. Stayed in an Executive King which was very spacious, and had a (frankly) huge bathroom including a full size bathtub. Huge bed, one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in although the bed itself was a little on the high side even for a big guy like me. Breakfast buffet was delicious with a good mix of continental and hot offerings. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous at all times, and the experience was very pleasant.

For a generously sized room, I did feel cupboard and storage space was slightly limited, and there could have been more of it. Minor marks and room wear and tear of the kind to be expected. Nothing to worry about though.

Location for shopping ,The double and single rooms great for myself and my mum for a weekend trip .Bar was very nice,Rooms great especially the shower and tv .The staff especially Fraser that worked serving food in the bar area was really nice and helpful .

Beds very high for getting in and out of for myself that's 5ft 4 .I pre booked a £25 for 3 courses in the restaurant for the two of us but maybe there was misunderstanding as paid at end of meal then was charged again on checkout but was promptly rectified .The cocktail I ordered was awful so strong I couldn't drink it so asked for soda water to water it down and it was still undrinkable and tasted like the mouthwash at dentist .I did mention and say but was still charged for this and not offered anything else . In room mirror to high at desk to put make up on if sitting and plugs to far away for drying hair there .But those things no big deal . The good things out weigh the few minor things .

Beautiful re-development of the Clyde waterfront’s Custom House and very stylish inside. Rooms have all modern cons and high quality bedding, towels etc. Liked the simple to use air con/heating system. Really nice bar and restaurant too. Liked the Scottish touch of Caramel Wafers on the tea tray and the complementary water.

Although rooms were well equipped ours wasn’t that well designed,with the tv on a side wall to the left making it a bit uncomfortable to view from the bed. Also, there wasn’t a fridge or mini bar, which we’d expect in a 4 star. The floor plan at the lifts also indicated there were ice machines on certain floors. We tried 2 floors and the machines weren’t connected-up.
