Hotel Villa Brinkly is a gem of a place that should be better known. It is run by Annette Buch Petersen and Erik Steen, who are charming and make your stay special. Annette is a superb chef (be sure to stay on a Friday or Saturday if you want to eat in their restaurant) deserving of international recognition and Erik is the guy who built the place (Brinkly means it is in the lee of a hill) and is a keen car enthusiast who has photo books of all the car clubs that have visited. The property is tastefully and interestingly furnished with a seaside/nautical theme, everything being that little bit special. Its location is a near-perfect halfway between Elsinore (Hamlet's Castle) and the superb Louisiana art museum. However, it should be noted that sea views are really sea glimpses, as Villa Brinkly is across the road from the seashore and looks over the properties opposite towards the sea. That doesn't detract from the setting, though, as crossing the road and walking up the shoreline (northwards) takes you to the lovely Vores Skotterup restaurant and the stylish Cafe Vitus at Snekkersten harbour.

Beds were excellent. Breakfast was excellent lots of variety. Host cooked us dinner that was superb.was also close enough to walk to a fantastic cafe for other dinners. Check in was smooth decor interesting and eclectic.

Nothing… to improve… it was very convenient, and interesting given its history. It was well run and very low key . Easy to access and parking convenient if a little tight by North American standards… but perfectly adequate.bathroom was very small but two sinks made it workable, shower was again small but comfortable.

Hotel villa Brinkly is really lovely. We had a room and could use facilities insite the buildingto have coffe ( with home made sweets) or something else. It is anice place to do trips to Kopenhagen, Loisiana, Frederiksborg etc. Our host had cooked for us also a great tapas meal. We had a lovely time and wil come aain when we are in the neighbourhood hopefully the next time with better weather ( haha we had to deal with the storm Hans...)

Fabulous location, beautiful house with coastal decor and so many interesting details. Our room looked on to the garden and forest. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, with the freshest of ingredients, prepared by chef Annette.

The bathroom door was sliding and flimsy, not great when sharing a room.

Incredible staff, very comfortable hotel, between the forest and the sea. Excellent to rest and forget the daily pressure. Annette, the owner and the host is very special in her to treat each guest. She made me feel I was a guest in her home. Would stay more and bring my family next time.

The owners are amazing and welcoming, great to socialize when eating dinner here. The dinner was amazing too, it looked simple yet was complex and after eating, felt like a mother's healthy home cooked dinner. The accommodation was very good and has this homey feel to it.

The house is full of character, good location with beach across the road, we swam in the sea in the morning, rented bikes from the hosts and cycled the coast, short train ride to Louisiana museum, wonderful breakfast and the hosts were very kind and friendly.

The location of Vila Brinkly is perfect, near a forest with lots of birds and a lovely view of the sea. Very close to Louisiana famous museum and Kronberg castle. The breakfast was very good with excellent home baked buns. We were lucky to eat a special dinner prepared by Annette the owner and a superb chef.

Breakfast was fantastic which a good choice of items and gluten free options for our daughter.

Didn't like that our stay was so short!

Location is excellent - both close to the beach in the front and the woods in the back. Lovely owners who make you feel very welcome. And most important: dogs 🐾 are welcome ❤️
