Very good food quality in restaurants. Great beach. Very kind staff.

- almost nobody speaks English in an international hotel - noise entertainment at the beaches - blocking of sunbeds from guest before 6.00 am !!!!!! - reservation of huge beach area for "VIP guests" - an nobody is there

This was a very quiet, perfectly relaxing place for adults only. It is not a party hotel, doesn't have a ton of activities, and it definitely has a lean on an older crowd. Which worked just perfectly for us as a slightly younger couple looking for a quiet week away from our 3 amazingly loved, but exhausting children. The hotel is flanked by two larger, family friendly hotels, so there will be some children you encounter down by the beach area - if that will offend you for some reason, this isn't the hotel for you. Both the hotels on either side have music playing all day, so you do hear it, but it is not loud or obnoxious. We found all the staff to be very kind and accommodating - be kind to them, and learn how to say "Please" and "Thank you" in Spanish. Kindness, a smile, and general good manners go a long way. Not every single staff member speaks English, but guess what? You're not in an English speaking country, so don't get upset when someone doesn't understand you. Google Translate can help you in a pinch, but we never felt it was necessary. We stayed in a duplex suite with a rooftop pool - it was nice, but we're still undecided if it was worth the extra money. There are pros and cons to every room option. We barely used the first floor - unless you plan on eating in your room a lot, or need to work, it's not really necessary. It's true that a lot of people reserve chairs and beds - sometimes in multiple places. Don't be those people, btw. But we went in early February and never had a problem finding somewhere to lay down. The servers come around often to take drink orders. Siwichi was hands down the best a la carte, and the pool side snack bar consistently delivered the best food. There's always good and bad to buffets, but overall we found the food to be pretty decent. Likely wouldn't say 5 stars, though. We got room service nearly every day, at all times of day.

This hotel does not have a great selection for vegetarians, and if you're vegan - forget it. Unless you are fluent in Spanish and able to ask for substitutions, don't even bother. Both times we dined in the Sea Blue/Toscana restaurants by the beach, we got sick. The first time wasn't too bad, and we wrote it off as maybe too much sun. But the second time was the night before we checked out, and we got sick again. I mostly had an unsettled stomach, but my husband was much worse. I'll spare the details, but the 11 hours of travelling it took for us to get home were awful.

Great service, the food was excellent and the facilities were impecable. Excellent activities, all was very clean , the staff was very happy to help with everything even out of the ordinary petitions

Some of the staff used to have personal conversations while the guests were there, it was a little uncomfortable. Not that big a deal, not so noticeable specially by non spanish speaking guests, but it was a bit annoying for those of us who understand

Nice beach, staff was very friendly, facilities were great, lots to do in the resort, plenty of different restaurants to choose from

Not a lot of space around the pools, was nearly impossible to get a deck chair in the shade. Wi-fi was mediocre, didnt really work in our room, everywhere else it was fine

KEEEP AN EYE ON THE PRICE OFFERED IN BOOKING V/S THE PRICE AT THE LOCATION! The price in Booking it is not the price that you pay at the hotel. Once I got there they gave me the price in RD pesos and then they do the currency conversion as per their own convenience. Which was more expensive than the price listed in Booking.

I’m vegan, didn’t have too many options for the meals. That should be improved. On Sunday the gardeners were working around us at the small and more private pool. We complained about it because they were very noisy, but had to wait until they finished. That wasn’t nice at all.

The adults-only portion of this resort was fantastic. The buffets for breakfast and lunch were top-notch; there were ample chairs and umbrellas on the beach, as well as employees walking around offering to get drinks for you. The pools were fantastic, and again, people would come around occasionally to get us drinks from the bar. Bloved and Toscana were by far the best of the 8 or 9 restaurants but make sure you make your reservations a few days in advance. It was very convenient to be able to do this on our phones. All-inclusive really means all-inclusive at this resort. The only thing we paid for was spa services and any extra excursions off site that we wanted to do. It was great to have the mini bar restocked frequently without worrying about extra charges. The staff were always very concerned about your experience and truly did want you to have a fantastic stay. They were very attentive and willing to get you anything you needed. I would definitely return to this location.

There is currently construction happening on a seemingly new hotel/building near the main (family) pool, so at times during the day, if you were in the area, it could be loud. However, you didn't notice it at all in the adults-only portion of the resort or even down on the beach. There were a few general upkeep areas that could be addressed in the room, but all in all, the resort was kept very clean.

- the quality of food was very good, not a large variety but tasty -the entertainment shows are diverse and of a good quality: sangria and paella on the beach, violinist concert at the beach bar, live music every night on adults side -the staff was friendly and polite -smoothies bar, very tasty cocktails

-rooms need a slight renovation to be brought on a more modern side -wines and champagnes quality

It is a beautuful hotel with nature gardens . The staff are fabulous in all departments . The chefs are amazing . Loved their buffets. My cleaning maid Ana was fabulous displaying my towels and bedding with fresh hibiscus flowers which i found delightful. My 3rd time to Dominican Republic in one year and this is the best . The Caribe sea is so turquoise and hot . I couldnt stop taking photographs of it everyday as it is so calming to the mind . I cannot wait to return and meantime i send all my love to the staff there . They deserve this accolade. .

I loved everything but i would have preferred Main Adults restaurant Thalassa to do an evening buffet every night . I prefer that to an a la carte or a themed evening and the themed restaurants were very nice but not for me..
