The hostel system in Quito is always great for the price. Darwin and his wife are very helpful and the room was clean and quiet- as long as the other guests were quiet! I stayed here years ago, and while like all of us it has shown some wear - the core of the facility is still nice. No breakfast or food here, but so many great places within walking distance it was perfect.

There's some building in the neighborhood whose alarm goes off all day and night. Not the fault of the hostel, but it should be addressed for all the hostels in this region.

You should definitely consider staying at this hotel when in Quito. It's centrally located on perhaps the most charming street in the city, lined with old plane trees. The atmosphere is charming, artsy, and peaceful, almost like a homestay. The patio is fantastic, adorned with numerous potted plants. The rooms are cozy and spotlessly clean. The staff is absolutely fantastic, always ready to help. Plus, they serve a nice breakfast! Highly recommended!!

This hotel has become my go-to whenever I'm in Quito – a home away from home! It's situated in a very safe and easily accessible location on a charming street adorned with old Platan trees. The rooms are impeccably clean, and what I love most is the artistic vibe throughout the hotel. Every room and common space is beautifully decorated, reflecting the owners' heartfelt effort to create a cozy and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

I've stayed at Posada del Maple three times during my travels in Ecuador. It's an absolutely lovely hotel, close to everything, in a very safe and quiet location. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with hot water, beautiful artsy interiors, and comfortable beds. Free drinking water. Good breakfast. Occasionally, you can catch sight of hummingbirds from the terrace of your room. The staff is incredibly helpful and always ready to assist.

I liked everything

We had a nice stay at the Hostal Posada. The room was comfortable but was a little small; however on the other hand that's what we paid for. The water in the shower was a bit cold the first night but hot the second night. I heard that it's best to get the hot water early before all the other guests use it up. The breakfast was tasty and filling but not fancy. The location was pretty good. There were places close by to eat and catching a taxi/Uber wasn't hard.

Hostal Posada was more than adequate. There was nothing fancy about this place, but that is the intent. It provided us great accommodations during our stay in Quito.

If you want to stay in this area then this is a great choice. A very short walk from Plaza Foch, but located on a quiet, leafy street. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the owner, Darwin, and his wife, Carlota, were really helpful in sorting me a Claro SIM for my mobile and in general. Great place!

I highly recommend this place! They are very accommodating and make sure that everything is going good for your stay. The rooms are really great for the price. I would recommend the double room as it’s a lot bigger than the single room. :) The hostal is located on a quiet street and I felt pretty safe walking by myself. I recommend walking to La Floresta where you’ll find lots of restaurants. I had no problems walking from the hostal. The walk is about 15 min. Also this place is pretty modern and very clean. They have a fully equipped kitchen and overall it’s very good for the price.

Very cozy hotel! We had a room on the 2d floor. It was big, clean and looked authentic. Hot water was always available. They serve classic to Ecuador breakfast (omelette, toasts with jam, fruits, fresh juice, coffee). The hosts are friendly and helpful, one of them, Darwin, speaks English. The hotel is located at the one of the most beautiful street in Quito, very green, safe, quite and close to the bars

They charge 12% if you pay by card. Soundproofing is not so good, you can hear people on the terrace in the morning if they are not quite enough. Only one of hosts speaks English (but it's okay, in some hotel in Ecuador nobody speaks English at all). However these small issues didn't spoil our stay in the hotel and we definitely stay here again if we come back to Quito!

The space was nice and comfortable, the decorations were nice and breakfast was filling. The staff was helpful when we needed them and the room was very quiet.

It’s not the hostel’s fault, but we really didn’t feel comfortable in the neighborhood. It felt like an odd mix between overpriced, touristy and sketchy.

I stayed 10 nights and enjoyed the stay very much and I will likely come back again. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily and breakfast is very good. It is placed in safe neighborough.
