LIKE.... LOVED Hasan is a True Asset to Your Hotel He has went above and beyond. And i mean every word of it. I was stuck at the airport with no cash at 12 midnight and couldn't get a taxi as Uber doesn't work in your area. I have called a hotel and he was an Angel by finding a quick solution taking a taxi and come to the hotel where he will guve the cash to The driver. An awesome experience in the hotel too. Every member of staff is so frinedly and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. First day they have packed a box for me which looked like a present with beautiful ribbon. Seriously!?!?!? No comment how amazing the experience was and following day i had a breakfast in the hotel where they have made for me eggs just the way i wanted it. A dream. Thank you all, HASSAN YOU ARE A STAR 🌟 not to mention for a best advise with Driverin app for the cheapest and most secured way of transportation in Egypt. Excellent location. Helpful front desk staff. Convenience store right next door. Hotel provided "breakfast bags" as we departed for an excursion before the dining room opened. Customers should be aware that there is no elevator (you'll be carrying your luggage up one or two flights of stairs).

There is internet WiFi in the lobby. None in the rooms. This was made clear in the Booking.com accommodation information, so we knew this when we made the reservation. Philae Hotel Aswan could improve the client experience by expanding their WiFi signal to the upper floors.

This is a mid range hotel with the room rate including breakfast reflecting the standard of the facilities. The hotel is on the corniche which as many reviewers have pointed out is a busy road and results in traffic noise in the room despite double glazing. This didn't worry my wife and I used ear plugs to cut out noise during the night so we had no problems. Rooms are a little dated and dimly lit but everything worked, the bed was comfy, there was a desk and two chairs and there was a small balcony. No ac or heating required when we stayed in late January. View over the Nile was nice and there were several restaurants close by. Young man on reception was cheerful and helpful and arranged a breakfast box for early start. There was enough food to also provide us with lunch.

Wi- fi only in lobby. There is no lift but staff available to help with luggage. Restaurant not open for evening meals when we were there but several restaurants close by. Breakfast a bit hit and miss in terms of service and food no more than adequate. We were self driving and parking is a bit of an issue on the corniche. Only five places (open to all) are available outside the hotel so, inevitably, you have to hunt around to find a space.

The overnight desk manager was extremely excellent. He was very helpful and assisted us even at the late hour we checked in. He arranged to hold our bags the next day while we went on a tour and even arrange for us to check out at a later time (1 hour and 30 minutes after the checkout deadline). He was very welcoming and his smile will always be remembered everytime we think of Egypt!

Unfortunately, we did not receive the same service from the afternoon staff after we checked out. We could've paid for our tour we had attended earlier but instead got a notification to make arrangements to pay through the next hotel we were staying at hours after we checked out. We felt like they just wanted us to leave. I understand different staff but the service should have stayed the same. They declined to assist us on transportation instead we ended up finding our own way out of town. No smile and a little hostile.

We stayed one night before our Nile cruise and the hotel offered a clean, small room with a comfortable bed. A large water bottle and cookies were in our room, which we appreciated. The staff was very courteous and professional, also very considerate allowing us to check in a little earlier since we arrived early that morning from Cairo. Next morning they prepared for us boxed breakfasts since we were leaving for a tour before the breakfast room opened. We were so surprised as to the large amount of food offered in each box: pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice and snacks. My husband and I shared one and offered the other box to our tour guide as each box could easily feed two people. In all, we had a nice stay at this hotel, received lots of attention from staff and the location across the Nile River was wonderful.

Arriving for check-in around 12-1pm, our room took about 15 minutes to get ready. Have your passports ready at check-in. This hotel only takes cash payment. So be sure to have your EGP ready when you arrive. There is no elevator. Luckily we were on the second floor so it wasn't too bad. Upon arrival a staff member brought our bags up, but at checkout we had to carry them down. We booked a room for 3 adults, but the standard sleeps 4. So a little added space. When you enter, there is a room with 2 twin beds and tv. The tv never turned on, but its okay since we were out most of the day. To the left there is another room with a king size bed. Continue forward and there's the restroom. There was a plate of welcome cookies for us and wrapped with plastic over it. That was a nice touch to have after traveling all morning. On a small table just outside the bathroom was a tea kettle and tea/sugar since case you wanted to make something hot to drink. We never used it, but nice to have. The bathroom is pretty basic with no hairdryer and only a 3 in 1 liquid soap option they refill daily. This is used as soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I'd pack my own if possible. The shower is a tub with a half covering so be careful not to go too wild or the water could spill out on the floor. The toilet is in a tight spot next to the shower and they provide toilet paper daily. There is a small window above that draws in all the noise from the street. However, if we kept the bathroom door closed, then it blocked the sound. The AC worked great even though they made noise at night. I think after a long day of tours, you'll fall asleep and not notice sound. The front desk staff is always smiling and ready to help. We had a 4am tour pick up and informed them we would miss the free breakfast. So they prepared nice to go boxes for us in the morning. Boxes include bread, date jam, honey, a juice box, and banana.

The only major problem here was the lack of good WiFi. This may be a problem in Egypt overall? Regardless, it was really spotty and might take forever to sent a message. Forget about uploading videos to a text or to social media! The water in the shower never got hot. Seemed to stay lukewarm.

Great location by the river Nile and a very supportive well-mannered staff. Hotel arranged road trip to Philae temple and the high dam in no time.  Highly secure as well. Decoration on the 2nd floor rooms is simple, attractive and reflective of the local culture. Air-conditoner is simply great! All in all, a great reasonable option for someone with limited resources. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Breakfast menue is the same for everyday. Would appreciate a little diversity. Towels smelled a little weired. But, towels changed everyday. No elevator, so no wheel chair accessibility. I still think the human factor (staff agreeableness) is a huge bonus :) بالتوفيق :)

The staff was helpful, Hassan and another girl were very helpful during our stay. The rooms are nice and comfortable with a nice view of the Nile as well, I was even upgraded to another room which added to my positive experience. The location is nice and close to the Nubian museum. We were going to Abu Simble so they prepared the breakfast in boxes which was nice, and they arranged with us the other trips we had in Aswan (Nile cruise and others). Breakfast itself is simple and nice.

I personally enjoyed my stay, but since I was with my parents, I would have liked if there was an elevator. And moreover toiletries, but shops were close by downstairs, so we were able to get the toiletries conveniently.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and we had a great view of the Nile. We could also walk almost anywhere we wanted to go (or walk to the public water taxis -- which btw are 5 LE, so no need to pay someone for a boat unless you want a tour or to go somewhere specific).

The room was pretty small for 3 people, most triples are bigger.

The location is perfect to go out for shopping, boat ride, sightseeing, to see the sunset and the felucca boats sailing on the Nile river. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms are designed in an old classic design and makes the stay cosy

The rooms next to the main road can be very noisy especially in the evening and the rooms could be made more noise proof. May be providing thick curtains and better insulating balcony doors might help for this.
