The room was clean, - Very welcoming and kind staff, - Hotel with a great location (close to restaurants, cafes, tourist attractions), - The breakfast was enough and changed a bit everyday (which we enjoyed), - In the last day we received a goodbye note written in Portuguese which was quite a memorable moment.
To take into consideration: - The building scared us a bit when we arrived, but everything looked better when we got to the fourth floor, - The water has little pressure. Small suggestion: - The room would gain if it had a chair so that the guests could drop clothes or items that they will use the next day.

Value for money, great location and super freindly and helpful staff.
The Lifts. Felt like you were taking your life in your hands every time you used them.

The room was spacious, clean, and nicely built. The balcony has a table and two chairs if you want to sit outside. The delicious morning breakfast is served just outside your room in a dining hall. The staff was very cooperative and welcoming. The hotel is located within the main market and thus provides a lot of opportunity for shopping or just roaming around & enjoying the hustle and hustle. Khan el Khalil market and the Egyptian Museum are nearby

The staff was good. We had a good breakfast. Our rooms were airconditioned. U can easu contact with people who worked there. We had towels and etc. It is good "home" hotel with good service for Cairo.
The communication between the 4th En th 6th floor on the hotel was not so good. We asked day before early breakfast, but next day the manager did not receive information from previous colleague. It is a pity. If you come by taxi first time it is hard to find the entrance to the hotel.

The place is perfectly located in downtown, right by the Nasser metro station and close to the Egyptian museum. There are plenty of cool places to eat nearby and it’s a 10 min taxi ride to Zamalek— the most hip area of Cairo. The hotel is at the high floors of the historical building (it has cool old elevators to get upstairs!). Yes, it is an old building but nothing to be scared of. There’s a sign in the right from the entrance with the hotel name so it was an east find. The staff was very nice and let us check in a bit earlier and check out a little later. The room was at the 6th floor, it had a very comfortable bed and we also liked the wooden floor and high ceilings! There was an air conditioner but we did not need it. The breakfast is served at the same floor which is convenient. We liked it, it’s a good value and keeps you full for several hours (although not very diverse :)). There is also an amazing gelateria downstairs, to the right from the entrance to the hotel — make sure you try it!!
Wifi at our room didn’t work for most of the time: I went to the reception floor where it did to have a zoom call :))

Hotel was lovely once we found it (tucked away). Room was of good size, we had booked one with a balcony. Breakfast was good and we had the choice of having it in our room or the dining room. Location was great and staff were great and bed was comfy.
Nothing in the hotels control. Streets are very noisy and could be heard from the room which was no surprise and expected as the streets are noisy everywhere!

The staff is really nice and helpful. Have them arrange a car, activities, or a guide for you. Good location with walking distance to a few cafes and restaurants, though they can be hard to spot if you can’t read Arabic. Not too far from the airport. The room was clean. And even tho it’s right on a busy street, it’s surprisingly not very loud. The shower pressure and temperature was good.
You might have concerns when walking into the building by appearances, but once you take the elevator up to the hotel, you’ll feel better.

Convenient location (close to the metro station and Egyptian Museum, a lot of shops nearby), good breakfast (scrambled eggs, hoagie rolls. fig jam, cream cheese, halva, yogurt - probably that's not a very diverse menu but certainly you won't be hungry after that). The building is very old and every elevator ride was an adventure - peronally I really liked it. Although the room looked a little bit worse than at the photos, I liked the interior and cleanliness. Oh and I almost forgot to mention amazing staff :)
Well, it wasn't a big issue for me, but some people may find bathrooms too small. I've mentioned that the location is good but at the same time it's very noisy - not very surprising as this is the city center.

We LOVED Golden Palace! The staff was incredible- Andrew, Steven, Mahmoud, and Mena were all so friendly and helpful. They even helped us arrange a special trip to a fabric market. We felt at home so quickly and all the facilities were clean and comfortable. Great location and breakfast as well! We would stay here again, we felt among friends!
Our first night we arrived late from our flight and were told there was a leak in our room so we couldn't stay, however we think the hotel was just overbooked. They helped us arrive at a clean hotel nearby and get back the next morning and the rest of the stay was wonderful, however it was definitely frustrating at the time.

Located in downtown Cairo, in the middle of all the action, in a historic building. Not all rooms are equal, so be sure and check your room before check-in, or change your room to better room, as your stay progresses.
Not all rooms are equal. But you can move rooms on later nights, as needed. Shower drain has some issues that can't seem to be fixed.
