This was my second stay at the Nine Pyramids Hotel. This time around everything was nice but I did get a price change upon my arrival which I was not too pleased about. I booked a room for two people but apparently just one bed but when I arrived because it was two males they insisted on two beds, which is fine but also charged me double the price. I did not have access on my phone to pull up the reservation at the time and their "card machine" was not working so was taken to 5 atm machines to get cash, so paid in cash. Finally found the reservation and yes, saw I selected for 2 people. Nevertheless had to pay an extra 50$ because was two males in a room. I was also over charged on my round trip shuttle bus to the airport. This was able to at least get a refund of $10 on after I got my wifi working. This experience just ruined any return to Nine Pyramids Hotel. I will look for another hotel next time I return to Cairo.

Charged higher rate than reservation

Really great, friendly staff. Conveniently located, walking distance to the pyramids and lots of local restaurants, cafés and shops. They serve breakfast until 10:30am, which is very convenient and you'll have some delicious foul medames, falafel, fresh veggies, fruits, plus all the other stuff you expect to find. But do go for the foul and falafel with some nice and fresh tahini sauce. In the evening we ordered sambouseks, baba ganoush and a fattoush; everything was fresh and delicious. The prices are also very reasonable. Next time we travel to Egypt we'll book again.

I didn't like that we had to leave---but we'll be back! :-)

Great views looking over the Pyramids

The reception staff tried to charge ridiculous prices for any of their trips/tours. They charge more than double possibly triple the price it should be. We also had a suite for 3 people, throughout our stay there were no chairs on our balcony. We constantly asked as we wanted to enjoy the views of an evening on our balcony. They failed to provide us with any chairs even though they kept saying they would “send someone now” quite disappointing!

This is a great option if you want to be close to the pyramids and visit first thing in the morning, as downtown Cairo is a good 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. (Americans are already losing 6+ hours.) We also were able to get lots of pyramid view selfies night and day from the two balconies in our room and the rooftop. We felt it was a great deal being significantly cheaper than Mena while still providing a very large, quality room, nice aesthetic, rooftop restaurant, free rooftop breakfast, and A+ staff. The staff was one of the best things about our trip to Egypt. Not only did they oblige any request, they were also very thoughtful and checked on us frequently. When we chatted with the manager of the rooftop restaurant, we casually mentioned we would head out to the pyramids before breakfast started. He said he would have “breakfast bars” waiting for us in the lobby, which actually turned out to be a full platter of bread, meat cheese, and yogurt! It was much needed and appreciated!!

Other than the pyramids, there’s no draw for being on this side of town. The museum, mosque, poppin restaurants/nightlife is in Cairo. The hotel food was convenient, but not that good. It was hard to be motivated to take the 30+ minute ride for meals. But that’s not a long commute to some people. The area outside the hotel was rough, but we felt safe on the property.

Amazing view from the rooftop, delicious breakfast, nice and helpful staff.

The hotel is not there where the map shows on booking.com it is 15-20 minutes walk from the Sphinx ticket office. Copy the address to googlemaps and you will see where it.

The hotel was clean and up to standard. we had a late flight and were allowed a couple of extra hours in the room. The staff was friendly. however some of them struggled with english, but it was not affecting our stay as they would get someone to translate.

The breakfast was not upto standard at all. we werent happy with the food selection. The worst was the packed breakfast. there were two mini pastries with a pack of jam and honey.. like we could use that without any cutlery. It would be better if they included some bread selection and butter/cheese and some well cut fruits.

Literally in the heart of Giza with a breathtaking view of the pyramids from the roof top - which at night you can also see the light show. The staff members were extremely helpful and catered to all our needs throughout our stay they became friends! There's a lot of stores along the street which are in walking distance . The rooms were cleaned daily and were stocked with bottle water for the guests. The staff were all so pleasant and welcoming it really made our stay memorable. The hotel restaurant also offered amazing food for reasonable prices.

Breakfast not many option, also didn't seems fresh

The view of the pyramids from our room and rooftop were amazing. The restaurant had really good food and reasonably priced about $10 US per person maybe less. They also had hookah available, which was nice. It's not really close to anything, so you'll have to arrange a ride which the hotel can accommodate. The hotel also offers tours which all the hotels do as well. Rana is the best guest service agent and speaks excellent English we loved her. They had a nice little snack store up the alley which had drinks and snacks at normal Egyptian prices.

The hotel didn't accept credit card as a payment so be prepared to pay in cash.

Everything about our stay was great. The staff was welcoming and warm. Thank you to our driver Sami who waited for us in the airport more than 2h in the middle of the night and to the manager of the hotel who managed to get us a meal at 3am. The bed was comfortable and they cleaned our room every day. The breakfast was included and delicious. The view of the pyramids was breathtaking. We felt like we were at home and would definitely come back.

There isn’t anything not to like. If i would think really hard about it, it would be the wifi connection not being very strong and disconnecting a few times, but then again that was a problem with whole Cairo.
