When compared to places in El Salvador, this hotel is fantastic. The town of La Libertad has little to be desired. This hotel sits a bit outside of the downtown area. You can walk for about 10 minutes on a terrible road full of traffic and dust to get to other restaurants, all with good food and the same menu. Fisherman's has a decent menu but were missing many dishes when we were there. The salads were good, the pizza was good but some of the dinner meals were not so nice. The breakfast, for us, was great. The views from the hotel are absolutely fantastic. There is a great beach with nice water and waves. The pool was nice. There was plenty of space to relax but the furniture was not so comfortable. Although our room had a kitchen area, there was no table to sit at. You either had to sit on the bed or a couch with a tiny coffee table. The chairs on the terrace were very uncomfortable. The check in was tedious, having to fill in a long form on your mobile phone, and took awhile. They want you to do everything on your phone through WhatsApp and, for me, I just did not want to carry my phone everywhere. The staff were very friendly.

I loved how clean it was. The location is a little far from the touristy para of La Libertad, but if you're driving, you can get around just fine. For the most part it's a very peaceful place, and it does have access to the beach. It's rocky, but there is a small area where there was sand. More than enough if you just want to quickly dip in the ocean. If not, the pool was also an option. This is where you would like to stay if you want privacy and away from the party scene, which is what my family and I were after. There ample parking as well. It was quite private and the staff was all lovely. Felt very safe. The food was well priced and made to order. The room itself was very comfortable. The bed was comfy, as was the sofa bed. The washrooms were well equipped, and there was a small electric kitchen, with a pot, pan and some dishes in case you want to cook something. If not, you can order something (with enough time) with the staff. They cleaned the rooms well, and the interior design of the place itself was lovely. The view from the balcony was also great.

This wasn't particularly the facilities' fault, but the neighboring guests in the next room were loud. The facility also let them know to keep it down, and apologized for any inconvenience. That's the only reason I don't give this a 10.

I love the room and facilities design. The privacy and security of the place. The staff were so friendly and professional. The food was amazing!! I will be back with my family 🥰

We absolutely loved Fishermans Resort Life. The entire place is absolutely gorgeous. The concept of Fishermans is a little different than other places and that is their biggest asset in our view. It’s a hotel but also an apartment complex with 6 rooms (so super private and intimate) and their own kitchen. You get all the services from a hotel, meaning you can order food and drinks, they clean your room daily, change the towels ect. but you don’t have to order food from them, you can bring your own food and beverages, which is usually not allowed in hotels, especially not in the really nice ones like this one. We absolutely love this concept. Because if you need anything, you just reach out to the staff and they take care of you but nobody is in your face. The hotel itself is so stylish and the apartments/rooms are fantastic. Very very spacious, you get the million dollar view from your room: palm trees, a beautiful pool and the ocean. The bed is super comfortable, the kitchen is very nice with basic equipment (but not fully equipped). It has a drip coffee machine, a toaster, plates, cups, mugs, wine glasses, bowls, cutlery, a cutting board and knives. In the little fridge, which is part of the kitchen, is a pitcher with water that you can refill as much as you need 24/7 from a water dispenser close to the reception right next to the kitchen, which we absolutely loved. Usually hotels in El Salvador don’t do that. A great bonus was that they provide a little bag of phenomenal Salvadorian coffee and paper filter. So every morning we made our own coffee and just loved it. The bathroom is also very spacious and very nice. The shower is big, with perfect water pressure. The rooms are super clean. Also the outdoor areas are maintained very well, they are super clean and very nice. The entire staff is super friendly and very helpful. If you need anything, everyone is doing their best to accommodate.

The property view and location is amazing. The boho theme is stunning, the property is clean and has a nice pool to enjoy. The staff was very welcoming and kind, they were always very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing the chef made everything fresh. Over all the property is a 10/10.

Not a dislike but a recommendation, having rugs in the side entrance by the pool. This will help not to have so much sand enter the location.

The property was beautiful, it had a great view of the beach. The staff was also really helpful and accommodating. We felt really secure, they have a private parking area with people guarding it. There’s also a private chef on the property and you can order ahead for breakfast and dinner. This property was also really close to sunset park and a grocery store as well as lots of local eating spots. Would definitely stay here again.

My bed was a bit stiff and uncomfortable. However that’s the only bad thing I have to say about this place.

My stay here was AMAZING and I cannot wait to come back. It is a hidden gem that leaves you feeling so peaceful and relaxed. The rooms were perfectly sized and included everything I needed and the view was GORGEOUS. The private chef Reynaldo was very attentive and the food was delicious. And I can’t forget to mention the property owner, Oskar. He treated me like royalty and did his very best to accommodate me during my whole stay. Whatever I needed as far as transportation, food, advice on where to visit, he was always there. He made me feel safe and comfortable being that I was solo traveling. I could not have picked a better place to stay and so excited to come back!

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Fishermans Resort Life ! The place is clean, has a pool and a beach access. The stuff are very caring and make you feel like a family. Manager Oscar is amazing - he was always there to answer any questions and help with anything we needed. They give you their what's ups numbers so you can ask Manager any questions or ask for anything at any time and don't have to run to reception for help, which to me was a huge plus. Oscar speaks perfect English which was another plus as i don't speak Spanish :) Another amazing thing about this place is that they have a personal chef - Rey! You can text Rey via What's up to order food and they will prepare it for you at any time you want. They will set it up your meal at any table you want or deliver it to your room. Rey makes delicious pizzas, seafood, soups, and just everything was cooked perfectly! I highly recommend his lobster pasta and pizzas! The helpers/cleaners that work for the place are super nice and very hard working people. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back!

a very nice and quiet place with a spectacular view of the sea to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves as a family….

It's not that the place has something wrong but there was a problem with a river that overflowed and caused problems with the streets and they were working on it but we were still able to enjoy the place….I hope they can fix that problem soon…

Wonderful stay ! The staff has been very accommodating, nice and welcoming The room was nicely designed and cleaned everyday, even exceeded our expectations Fisherman is a very good place to stay, definitely recommend it !

As we didn't have a car, it was a bit difficult to get transportation in and out of the hotel for day trips to go to other beaches or explore places that are not at walkable distance. Would recommend to either rent a car or for the hotel to develop their network with transportation
