First time coming across them. Located on El tunco neighborhood. Hotel area is very private and small but beautiful, cleaned, two pools, plenty of shade. Breakfast was good portions and yummy. The staff very welcoming. Their bar drinks tasty and refreshing. Room was garden view, and very spacious. I had requested transportation and we got picked up and taken to our next destination. You can definetly walk to el Tunco where you will find bars, food and the beach views.

No complaints. Just should if stayed there longer

Love the location, quiet but with easy access to El Tunco and the beach. Staff could not have been friendlier. Breakfast was really nice, and so convenient to be able to eat well before getting started on the day. Internet access worked perfectly - no issues there. Rooms are comfortable - ideally, I'd have liked an alternative to the bed for sitting comfortably, but that's minor. Hammocks and outside tables in each room is really nice. Nice to have filtered water easily available to refill water bottles and carafes.

Literally the only thing would be a lounge chair or easy chair in the room. The shower is gentle to a fault, but that's minor.

We did enjoy our stay at your property, your staff were exceptional.

We requested our room account the night before so we could check the details were correct. We were advised this was not possible and the account would be ready the following morning at check out. The account wasn't ready and the staff went through each transaction adding up manually. There was not a copy available to us. We have never not received a invoice with all items featured, this is something guests would expect at check out

My wife and I fell in love with Bocas Olas Resort, we're hoping to plan another trip there ASAP! Special thanks to Solomon, Leo, Omar, Christian (and all of the other staff members, can't remember their names!). We were treated so kindly by everyone....waiters and waitresses, bartenders, housekeepers, groundskeepers, gate guards. Location was perfect, 2 to 3 minute walk into the heart of El Tunco where there are endless food options, bars, nightlife, yoga, massage, shopping, etc. Numerous surf options within walking distance and plenty of places to rent boards in El Tunco. I could go on and on, just go down there and see for yourself! Muchas Gracias Boca Olas, we'll be back soon!

Beautiful property - the view was spectacular. We stayed in a king room with a sea view and highly recommend. The staff were very helpful when we had issues with the AC and held our bags before/after checkout. Pool drinks were great, breakfast was good. We didn’t have dinner there but had a snack at the pool and it was pretty good. Spacious room and loved how it was tucked away from the nightlife a bit so it wasnt too loud in the evening. Walking location to all of el tunco.

Our bed was not comfortable as we hoped for the price. We thought the hotel could have offered more amenities or at least made us aware of them for the price we paid. For example, a robe, slippers, etc. as nice as the room was we hoped the bed would be a LOT more comfortable.

This was a really pleasant surprise, very nice and well kept facilities, you see staff doing maintenance constantly, pool and gardens. The location is not on the beach but it is a short walk to the promenade right on the beach with lots of nicely appointed restaurants and bars. Theres is something for all tastes. I have to complement the staff who up and down the line are helpful, courteous and willing to accomodate your needs. I thank chef Mario for the nice chat and restaurant recommendation. I regret that I do not remember the name of the staff member who offered his own personal cel phone to complete a work call that I had and due to a power outage we had no internet. Talk about above and beyond! The pool location is ideal, they have one for families and children, one for adults with a swim up bar. It is really nice and cannot ask for a better setup. They have a game room that is available for guests and I am sure kids can take advantage of that. The breakfast selection is varied, about 10 different choices and the ones that I tried were all good. Friendly and accomodating wait staff. Congratulations to Boca Olas Resort on such a nice job with their staff. The rooms are comfortable with ceiling fan and air conditioning, well set up bathroom with shower and separate toilet room. Complementary bottled water is provided daily.

I had to think hard about what to comment on. The internet in the room was spotty and for work calls.... a bit of a hassle. However, I could sit outside and have better signal. You have to key a different password for each device, so make sure you ask for extra passwords when you check and that they do not expire the next day. The location is not on the beach, but if it is all that important to you, there are many other properties nearby to select.

They have coffee in the rooms, welcome water bottles. A water filling station in the courtyard. Comfortable beds, great aircon units, ample hot water in the showers. It’s just far enough from the beach front area that you feel like you’re in a little oasis, then a 5 minute walk and you’re in the center of everything. Great spot, highly recommend. The breakfast that’s included is amazing and everything always comes out looking like the pictures or better. Friendly and helpful staff too!

I liked that Boca Olas attended us as soon as we got there. They held our luggage until the room was ready. I loved the service at the bar and at the restaurant on the resort. The staff were friendly.

The alcohol drinks were watered down. I kept paying for extra liquor and the drinks still were not strong enough. I also did not like that it was all the way to the side. It said it was ocean view but it was actually a little canal that connects the water from the ocean to a river. The water looked dark and dirty. It was not a pleasant view. However I did love the hammock on the balcony and the beautiful sunsets.

I loved everything about this hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us our privacy. The pools were awesome, breakfast was delicious, and I loved walking around the pathways listening to Latin music playing by the pool. I didn't catch everyone's names but the security guards were chill, Erika the server was very kind, and another daytime server helped us out. I liked being on the river more than I thought I would, and the walk to either the beach or downtown El Tunco is straightforward. Very safe area. None of us felt unsafe at any point. And housekeeping REALLY cleans the room when you're out -- did our dishes for us, mopped the floor, etc. It's nice coming back into a hotel room that smells fresh and clean.

The check-in process was a bit lengthy (as it seems to be in Latin America) and when we had to sit down for it I felt like it was the start of a timeshare presentation. I also didn't like the big tip jar at the desk. Why would I tip when checking into a hotel? Back to the sitting: I feel the guest should always be standing when checking into a hotel because he was probably just sitting in a cramped car for a long drive from the airport and wants to get to his room ASAP and not spend any unnecessary time in an office (But really all they did was go over the room specs and what's included with our stay).

We flew in late & arrived at 3am and they kindly opened the gates for us and were ready to show us to our Suite. It was a very comfortable place to begin our week long stay in El Salvador. We had the Jasmine Suite for our family of 4 (kids 17/18). It was right on the river with a large living room, full kitchen and huge outdoor deck with furniture and a hammock. The bedroom had 2 Q beds & living room sofa was easily converted to a bed as well. The 2 pools were sizable and clean with a lot of options to sit around. They have a large food/drink menu and staff that takes your order poolside. Breakfast was included and sufficient. The location is the furthest from the main noisy party scene but just a short 10 min walk away, which we appreciated. This is not an “intimate hotel” and the largest in the town. It would be good for those traveling with a large group or extended family. The staff is friendly and we felt very safe…..as we did in ALL of El Salvador from the airport to beach towns to the mountains! The people are so trusting and friendly it almost feels odd! We had separate 3 incidences (Car rental, hotel & private tour) where there was confusion on the payment process and each time were told not to worry about it and that we could sort it out before we leave! This would NEVER happen in the US!
