Hosts met us when we arrived. Rooms were super-clean. My wife commented that she wore socks around the apartment and they didn't even get dirty! Location is awesome; right next to a number of shops, bakeries (one is 20 meters from the entrance) and restaurants. Roof-top sitting area has a view of the Papal Palace!

Not much. Our duplex (two-bedroom) apartment is on the top floor, which means three flights of stairs, and they're very narrow as is typical of old French buildings. Didn't bother us, but be aware that it's good exercise going up and down them a few times a day.

Communication in English was very easy, host is very friendly. Location is easy to find, 15-20 Min walk from Avignon Central Train Station. It’s situated in the old town, there is a supermarket and a boulangerie right next to the building, you can also find a lot of cafes, restaurants and stores in the area. Area is very tourist friendly, so you can walk all you want. Apartament is equipped with everything and bigger than it seems in the photos, self check in and check out is also very handy.

It’s an old building with little sun light, so it can get a little colder, but there’s an AC working, so you can use that if needed.

The apartment was very clean and spacious, in a fantastic central location close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and the main train/bus station - perfect for exploring the old town and as a base for day trips. All of beautiful Avignon's sights are within walking distance from the apartment but despite the central location, the area was quiet at night and we slept soundly. Thomas and Julie were the most wonderful hosts who made our trip even more memorable. Great communication before and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We were sad to leave and hope to be back!

Thomas was an excellent host with superb communication. We didn’t need to message him at all since he had thought of everything. Thomas met us at Check-in which was very smooth and easy. The apartment is in a superb location with everything you could need. The air conditioning was very welcome even though we stayed in early September (28C). You are within the City’s historic walls which as an area is mainly pedestrian. All of the Historic sites of interest are within easy walking distance We chose to park in the “Halles” car park which had the added bonus that our “Liber-t” toll tag was read so we didn’t have to bother with tickets and paying onsite. As other reviews have noted access is tight which tests your driving skills.

Nothing negative about L’Oriflamme or Thomas. However, Avignon’s natural stone pathways are very slippery when wet. Make sure you have suitable footwear. Nearly went over several times.

Central location. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Easy to communicate with the host. Free public parking available outside of the town with short ride on the free bus then 2 minute walk from the bus. Nice bakery right on the corner, lots of restaurants around. Safe and secure. Vibrant area of town.

It would be little difficult to get large suitcases up the narrow stairs if someone had large suitcases, that wasn’t our case.

Very good location. Close to amenities and historic sites. All necessary facilities provided. Bed is comfortable. Nice shower. Thomas is kind and helpful. Definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again if I visited Avignon again.

Very noisy at night from the bar close to the property. Maybe just because I slept with the window opened. Shouldn’t be a problem if the window kept closed.

Perfect location in the old town of Avignon. Bars/restaurants/culture within a few mins walk. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The air con was a life saver in 39 degrees heat! Thomas our host was a very effective communicator and was very helpful after our long and difficult journey to Avignon! Would definitely book again if we return. Thank you.

We arrived late but Julie met us at the property to show us around and helped us get our bags up the stairs. The view of Palace des Popes from the little balcony at sunset was amazing. Julie recommended a restaurant where we enjoyed having dinner. Julie also kindly drive us to pick up our hire care the next morning. It was a short but lovely stay. Highly recommended

The 3 flights of narrow stairs were difficult with bags but worth it when you saw the view from the balcony

The hosts were incredible - they were very kind and forthcoming with tips and a lot of information about what to do in Avignon. They gave the right instructions to reach the property, was flexible with check-in and was helpful throughout our stay. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The property is located right in the city center - a few minutes walk to pubs, restaurants, all monuments, etc.

The property was in a great location of the town with plenty of amenities and very close to the tourist attractions, in fact we had a great view of the castle from our balcony! The host Thomas was very helpful, greeting us on arrival, assisting us to get settled in the property and providing dinner recommendations.
