We chose this property as it was close to the channel crossing and it had a swimming pool. The restaurant was fantastic quality food and fairly priced. The bed was very comfortable, we had be travelling round France and stayed in many hotels, and this was first hotel we found that had perfect pillows, not to high or low. The breakfast was equally delicious and they served real croissants and pain au chocolates. You’d think every French hotel would do that but actually majority serve out of the packet long life pastry. Staff are all very friendly and speak perfect English. We will certainly be back next time we are travelling back from France to UK.

Cannot think of anything we didn’t like and we are usually quite critical.

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and the facilities like the pool, the wet sauna and the squash court. Plenty of towels, soap, robes and slippers, hair dryer, iron, cups, even a sewing kit - impressive.

The sofa that was used as a bed for our teenage son was very creaky and loud. Also, it took a long time for the water to get warm enough for shower. In addition, the kettle was full of limescale, pieces of it were floating at each use, so we weren't able to use the heated water. One of the towels had 2 big yellowish stains. The restaurant's menu is poor and the pool table was out of order.

The hotel is near the Channel Tunnel and the car ferry dock while slightly outside the city. With this, this hotel makes for a great stop when crossing from the EU to the UK and vice versa. With a good amount of parking spaces including charging stations for electric vehicles, a spa area with a workout space, a small but clean pool, as well as a restaurant and a bar, this place was the perfect pitstop on the way back home. For an additional fee, the hotel also offered a breakfast buffet.

There were little to no complaints other than a rather dark parking lot and a broken vending machine for swimming gear while I was there.

As always, Reception staff were outstandingly welcoming, friendly and helpful ( and even bore patiently our attempts to speak French!). The rooms remain spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The beds are especially comfortable. Once again, our request for a ‘fridge in the room was met without trouble. We have visited many times before over the years, and hope to do so again. We enjoy the setting, use of the swimming pool facilities and ease of access by car. We did not use the restaurant this visit and so cannot report whether the service and quality of food has improved. But it was not good in 2023 or in June of this year on our previous visits ( see my previous reviews thereon).

Really beautiful hotel and a perfect distance from the ferry port at Calais if you’re breaking up a journey. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Bed was super comfortable and you can ring down for extra pillows if needed. My partner forgot his razor and was able to get one for free from reception too. I’d forgotten to add a travel cot to my booking but they’d seen I was travelling with a 2 year old and set one up for me anyway. Breakfast was really good quality and enjoyed by all of us. Mini bar was a nice touch. Parking was free and ample. Staff were all lovely, can’t fault it and would definitely stay here again.

We had originally booked another hotel in Calais, however due to bad traffic, detours and other complications along the way, we were slated to arrive in Calais around 11 pm, which meant we were going to miss the check in time for our hotel and we would not be able to stay there. Absolutely exhausted from a long drive and fearing the worst (sleeping in the car), we called this Holiday Inn and were greeted by an extremely friendly and understanding receptionist who reassured us they are open 24/7 and had plenty of rooms available for a last minute booking. Once we booked, all the stress and anxiety of the day washed away as we knew we were in good hands. The hotel was very accessible and easy to find off the motorway following signs, and there was plenty of parking near the entrance. The staff were very friendly and patient with us as we exhaustedly lugged our bags into the reception - it must have been no more than 5 minutes from checking in at reception to getting into our room. I can't put into words how glad we were to be there - the room was fresh, clean, and the facilities were top notch. The beds were so comfortable and the room was so quiet that we slept extremely well and felt so refreshed the next morning. Breakfast was great with a wide range of options, including freshly baked pastries and the usual "continental breakfast" offerings which were decent. It was also very easy to navigate to the LeShuttle terminal nearby to catch our train back to Folkestone. Overall, thanks to this Holiday Inn, the final night of our holiday went from disaster to one of the most comfortable nights we had on our entire trip!

Brilliant location for a stopover. We stayed here on the way to our destination & on our way back & it was ideal. Close to LeShuttle & cite Europe shopping & eating. Room was great on both occasions, very quiet & comfortable. Pool, sauna & steam rooms were very clean & a nice place to chill out after a long journey

The only thing that we didn’t like was the restaurant service. We booked a table on check in but when we went to the restaurant at the requested time, they sat us at a bar stool style table in the bar area which we thought was odd as there seemed to be plenty of tables in the actual restaurant. The food service was very very slow, but the food quality was excellent.

We've been staying on and off at this hotel for over 20 years. It's convenient for Calais restaurants and shopping before the Tunnel and, whilst being decidedly on the corporate side of the hospitality spectrum, it does its job well. After a thousand or so miles of driving though Europe and with the delights of returning to the UK looming, one craves an environment without surprises. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel has really upped its game as far as breakfast goes, a very decent buffet having replaced the former offering of limp, pre-wrapped cheese and processed ham.

Pros: Big room, big comfy bed and great location with a big parking. The room has all you need, a mini fridge with tea and coffee facility, iron, dryer etc.... Free ice cubes machine in the corridor. Great swimming pool with a good size gym and a sauna:) You can get extra towels from the reception. A lovely park outside with chickens walking around freely:) Good breakfast. The Staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a great stay and we definitely recommend it. Happy customers!!

The room has a connecting door, so you might hear the next door guest a little if they are noisy.

This hotel is amazing. Great location from the eurotunnel. Lots of parking. The huge family room was excellent, lots of space, air con, tea/coffee making facilities with kettle, and minifridge. Kids loved the swimming pool, and my teenage son used the gym. Nice view from our room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, spoke good English. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant that evening, good quality burgers, and I had a fish salad which was delicious. The meal was good value at around 100 euros for a family of five. We were impressed with the breakfast choice. It had everything! English breakfast/cold meats/cheese/pastries/fruit/cereals/drinks. The breakfast sausages were so tasty! The beds were comfortable, and the shower was great. We were sad to only be staying here one night and would definitely return.
