We came to stay 14 years ago and loved it to much we returned. There were a few minor changes but the fabulousness remained the same and the changes were positive! Love this special place so much and the restaurant is superb. We will be back.

Overall ambience

No nearby cafe...but that's personal as I don't eat a lot for breakfast so there was no point in adding a breakfast to my boooking.

We recently stayed at Château d’Étoges for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. L’Orangerie provided a Michelin-star-worthy dinner that was a true culinary masterpiece, while the other restaurant offered equally remarkable cuisine with refined flavors and presentation. Breakfast was an experience in itself—abundant, fresh, and absolutely worth it. It provided the perfect start to our day, ensuring we were well-prepared for exploring the beautiful Champagne region. Staying here definitely has an air of luxury - a beautiful old building with tons of character and lovely grounds. The room in the Orangery was lovely, and the breakfast was superb (not cheap, but you get what you pay for!). The main restaurant was closed on the night we stayed (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) but the brasserie is absolutely fine. We also enjoyed the wildlife in the grounds.

Well, if we have to write about something we didn't like then: it was raining on the morning that we left, and we would have preferred sunny weather. This is probably _not_ the fault of the hotel, however :-)

Pure heaven. Anniversary trip and everything was wonderful. Felt truly pampered. Location was great but quiet , you need to drive to get anywhere but it's worth it. Restaurants were stunning and the food and the staff amazing. Loved how welcome our dog was. Champagne breakfast is definitely the way forward!

We have stayed at the chateau before but not for a few years. Absolutely fabulous place to stay. A wonderful bit of luxury. A beautiful setting. It looks so picturesque both during the day and night. Rooms in the main part of the chateau are amazing and the main staircase quite something. The staff all delightful and friendly. Breakfast absolutely superb with plenty of choice. Their newish restaurant at the bottom of the drive was brilliant with a really lovely, friendly waiter and the food was just wonderful.

Beautiful château, well l kept and clean. Very good champagne breakfast. Good location for visiting champagne houses, finding gourmet restaurants and getting lost in the beautiful vineyards.

We weren’t able to use the on site restaurant for on our late afternoon arrival. Reservations essential. We were given a list of alternative places though a bit far after travelling all day. We resorted to in room picnic after a visit to the supermarket. We visited the fine dining restaurant the next night and we were not overwhelmed with the offerings. Also the wine was rather expensive.

When we arrived it was a beautiful idyllic setting we went to reception and was shown to our room we had to go back outside to go back inside the main door which we found out in the morning there was no need we could have walked through the hotel to get to our room we were given the key to the room then he left he did not offer to help us with our luggage or offer someone to assist us i didnt find the gentleman to be very friendly or helpful the room was stunning and huge lovely view of the moat. Breakfast was amazing it was a very good buffet the staff were helpful and there was also a hot buffet and you could even have a glass of champagne with breakfast!. We would definitely go back as the room and hotel was amazing and we loved the area

The staff member on arrival was not very helpful did not offer any assistance for our luggage 😕 so had to struggle up the stairs with the suitcase the main restaurant was shut so we had to have dinner in the brasserie was OK but would have preferred to eat in the restaurant.
