Beautiful surroundings, not far off the main motorway on our way through to Germany. Very friendly host who spoke both German and French and some English and provided fresh apple juice on arrival and a lovely welcome, and large room with lovely views. Perfect continental breakfast and high chair etc provided for our toddler. Would love to stay again in future for any more long drives through France!

We liked everything about it so this is not a complaint - just for people to be aware the bedroom is up one flight of steep stairs, and there is no air con (as you would expect in a traditional house in the middle of the countryside) and the curtains do let light through if you have a sensitive little sleeper like us!

The location is peaceful, breakfast good, michel is great owner, lovely hectare of grass, car parking, place was warm, bedroom good size, all good. 5km to small village with great cafe restaurant with tart tatin to die for.

It would help greatly to have an outside light with sensors automatically set off to help at night and when unloading and to see how to put the key in the lock.

if you are looking for peace and quiet, in a beautiful natural environment, you should definitely come here. For hikers and lovers of history about the 1st World War, there are lots of opportunities and sights nearby

where you can enjoy the delicious home-made jams at breakfast, we lacked other toppings such as ham or cheese. But you can bring your own

Large garden for children to play in with an outside decking area where you can sit and have a few bottles of wine! Perfect for a relaxing evening. Clean and comfy room with lots of space. The customer service was amazing, we were welcomed with a fresh glass of homemade apple juice which was a delightful touch!

Very comfortable and friendly accommodation not far from Verdun. A nice welcome from the host, Michel, with local apple juice and conversation. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and the bed was comfortable. Beautiful and quiet garden was enjoyed out on the terrace. The breakfast was very good with homemade jams to accompany the fresh backed goods. A bit off the beaten path, but we’ll worth the visit.

Not much to not like for us, but the rather steep stairs to the rooms could be challenging for those with disabilities.

Even though we were just passing through and stayed only one night, our host treated us like real guests. The rooms were very clean and each decorated with individual charm. The breakfast was lovely--at least five kinds of homemade jam and marmalade.

We loved the glorious rural setting - the peace and quiet was just what we needed after a day travelling. The communal areas were great, we made use of the indoor sitting and eating areas as well as the large terrace. The rooms were spacious and full of character. The host was friendly and helpful and provided a lovely breakfast.

The host was utterly charming, nothing was too much trouble. The annexe in which we stayed had been built by him over many years and overlooked a hectare of gardens.

Nothing. Wouldn't change a thing.
