This is a very magical place that feels like you walked through a time portal and landed in some forgotten time. An absolutely lovely, well-taken care of house set in the midst of a strickingly beautiful garden. We were delighted to try various home-made jams for breakfast. Our hostess was here to help with everything we needed, and we admire greatly the amount of love, care and knowledge she invests in making the garden as lush and lavish as it welcomed us. You have to come and visit to believe something like it exists.

This is a hidden gem. The gardens are simply enchanting, even in late autumn - clearly this is a labor of love for the proprietress. We loved the decor of the house and the wonderful breakfast provided to us. The croissants were the best we have ever had. In the back of the garden there is an ominous-looking gash in the hillside. Upon further inspection we discovered it is a somewhat overgrown ninepin bowling lane, complete with wooden bowling balls, a ball return chute, and a hidden chamber where the pin-setter can safely hide. There was plenty of cleverness everywhere we looked. We would definitely return.
our bedroom was a bit musty.

The B&B is situated in the midst of nature, you can hear the birds sing in the morning. A very friendly and helpful landlady and plenty of space around.
The interior has the appearance of the 1930s. You have to love this style, otherwise it looks a bit outdated. The facilities are ok, but I could not find a booklet with instructions, for example regarding wifi. For a couple, the bed in the chamber downstairs is somewhat crampy.

We opted to have supper there. Chantal is a great cook! It was a 4-course meal which we enjoyed out in the amazing garden with the other guests. Very enjoyable evening. The breakfast was served inside and was also excellent. The garden is fantastic! It's like a park. Quite intriguing. Definitely in the country which suited us just fine.
We understood that we were to have a larger room than we did. I believe two people showed up that afternoon unexpectedly and that room was more suitable for their situation. It wasn't explained to us but we were a little disappointed at our room. Certainly understandable though and the room we had was fine.

Our host was just lovely could not speak any English but that didn't matter we muddled through with our phones. The garden was amazing all looked after by the host. In side the house was old world a little dark. I booked the small room as I didn't read the size of bed and my husband is 6'2 so that was a little tricky, but as we stayed two nights in the end our host looked after us and swopped us to a bigger bed, bathroom.

We were given a friendly welcome by Chantal who showed us to a lovely, quaint room in her quirky house. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a delicious evening meal and breakfast. A walk around her gorgeous garden is a must and she was very proud of looking after everything by herself. A most enjoyable stay 😃
Everything was good

Lovely house with a beautiful garden. The owner was very nice. We do not speak French and she did not speak English, but we worked it out using the translation app on the phone. We arrived on two motorcycles and could park securely in the garden. The room was nice comfortable. It had private toilet and shower, but they were separate, in the hallway outside the room. Breakfast was very nice and tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

The interior decor of an 18th century mansion all done by Chantal herself and her (deceased husband), in a 1970's house set in lovely gardens. Large dining room, galleried billiard room with bar, a great treatment to vision, hard work and love. Also the home made food, jams, marmelades, apéritif, wild boar paté, (shot by her son).
The rooms were chilly at first, but Chantal turned the heating up for us.

A real taste of rural France. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay here. If you’re looking for modern and sleek this isn’t the place for you. But if you’d like to be welcomed by a lovely French host, an excellent value home cooked meal and a place decorated with love, care and attention then don’t hesitate to book. Merci Chantal
