Friendly helpful staff member good breakfast good parking in convenient position for travel to and from Spain as a stop off

Guethary is beautiful and the walk down to the harbour was pleasant But trying to find somewhere to eat was difficult. After lots of phone calls we found most restaurants were shut or fully booked. We stopped at one to enquire but they were fully booked. And ended up with a tapas style meal outside in not very warm weather. SO be warned if you decide to stay in this fun hotel make sure you look at restaurants on the Internet and book one for dinner. We would have liked the gourmet dinner our long trip from Spain demanded but were disappointed.

We had great communication and the warmest of welcomes from Heleine. Our room was absolutely perfect, parking extremely convenient, wonderful breakfast. We love the location .. a few minutes from the motorway and a gorgeous short walk to the park, pub and beach. My husband, my dog and I slept very well in this peaceful beautiful hotel. Thank you .. we shall return.

We liked everything

Normally the reception is closed in the evening, but because they knew we would arrive by train in later in the evening, they waited specially for our check-inn until we arrived. The hotel is the old primary school of the village and it is nicely converted into a cosy hotel. You can easily walk from the train station to the hotel and the beach, bar and restaurants are 15 minutes away on foot. Decent breakfast, providing enough for the energy to walk into Hondaribbia that afternoon. Good coffee!

No dislikes in particular

Excellent Stay! The hotel was perfect, right near the bus stop to take us to other towns and a short walk from the rest of Guethary. The staff were helpful and so welcoming. Our room was a perfect size, it had heating, all the amenities we needed and a very comfortable bed. One morning we had the breakfast which was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great location, comfortable beds, good organic breakfast and bathroom products. Great they accommodate dogs.

Dog cost 20€ per night, by the time we had paid for breakfast the overall cost had crept up. Rooms starting to show some wear and tear which detracts from the lovely bed and otherwise cosy ambience.

Charming former school-turned-hotel tastefully renovated. Good sized and comfortable room with excellent aircon, TV with streaming services, good wifi and varied breakfast. Easy parking right outside.

The floor in the bathroom could have been less noisy. The guest below us came up to complain about it!

Big room, clean. Breakfast perfect. Helpful staf. Peaceful surroundings. Inner courtyard very nice. It was our third stay in this hotel, last time 2015 on our way to and from the south of Spain. Hotel improved since.

It's a 3-star Hotel and you have to take it like that. Beds and bathroom cleaned every dag, floors could have been better. Number of staff kept to a minimum.

The staff were lovely especially Elaine and Stephanie who helped us so much with booking restaurants and getting about Location excellent

Wi fi was average There was a large student group in the hotel which made it noisy but it quickly died down (Not a major issue)

The hotels great interior and history. Good location, value for money.

Bad smell in the room/bathroom (humidity?), this time (last time not). Very strict/non flexible breakfast and check out time, even in low season/on a Sunday. Unfortunately unpatient approach from staff regarding this, which took down our total experience.

The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the "town", port and main facilities, which made it a real retreat. Guéthary itself is delightful, as is the hinterland. Very good-sized room with comfortable bed and excellent facilities. As a converted old school, they have retained some delightful touches in the décor. Approachable, helpful and charming reception staff. Desk in the room and excellent wi-fi.

Nothing to dislike, but worth noting they don't (or at least didn't) offer an evening meal. Plenty of options in town.
