Absolutely gorgeous place to be. Everything was stunning. The surroundings, the reception (it rained bit on arrival and the hostess ran outside with an umbrella to get us dry inside.) She was the sweetest and most enthusiastic hostess we’ve ever met. And she was giving us a grand tour inside the Chateau and telling us its stories. It is just a gem to be sleeping in for a night. 😍

It was perfect.. it is a real B&B so do not expect a hotel..the people who lovingly rent out their chateau rooms are very very welcoming and I can’t find anything to criticize on.

It was a privilege to stay in this historic building, to be given the grand tour by the owner, and to learn about the history of this fabulous building. An incredibly comfy bed, a wonderful breakfast, a stupendous welcome from a genuine host, and a real ‘home from home’.

Nothing. It’s fabulous. But to warn that the local restaurants are a short drive away (but probably not walkable) so be prepared for that, or enjoy the shop-bought wine, bread, cheese and meats as we did. The hosts will lend you plates etc.

An enduring sense of history that encompasses the whole Chateau. The Chateau is not simply a 'place to stay' - it is a home to the owners. The welcome extended to us by our hosts was superb. The breakfast was perfect and taken in perfect surroundings.

Having to leave the chateau! The village associated with the Chateau was somewhat lacking in character.

It was wonderful to have the opportunity of seeing the interior of this imposing building, & to speak to our host & hostess about its history. A big plus was being given a jug of fresh milk on arrival & to find a tea tray in our room- a first for us after many stays in France, & most welcome. Our host queued for 20 minutes at the nearest boulanger to bring us fresh bread & croissants & we enjoyed a very good breakfast which set us up for the journey home. The chateau is only about 1.5 hours from Calais, so a perfect place to stay in a quiet rural setting, en route to or from UK.

The directions from booking.com link were poor. We ended up at the end of a cart track in the middle of a recently harvested field! A friendly farmer got down from his tractor to give us directions along back roads to the village & once there the chateau was easy to find.

It’s impressive, authentic castle it’s like spending the night at the museum. It’s the only place I would go back just to spend a few more nights in, because of the castle only . Hosts very friendly and will enjoy showing you around the castle and answer any of your questions.

Wonderful stay with the family (3 kids under 7 years old). The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Olivier showed the kids all the fun and interesting parts of the house - they were particularly taken with the chickens! The breakfast was a simply incredible feast!

We stayed here while cycle touring and were met by the owner who was very welcoming. He let us dry our tent and store our bike etc in an old barn and then led us to our room. He even gave us a full tour before we left showing us the on going renovations which he is doing.

Staying at the Château was a pleasant surprise. It was a bit off-path from our trip to Côte d'Opale but it was definitely worth it. We got a warm welcome by the hosts, which were very flexible with our check-in hour. The room was big and luxurious, and the area is completely quiet so we had a very good rest. The next morning we woke up late with the songs of birds and the hosts were waiting for us with plenty of choice for the breakfast and plenty of conversation topics too. Staying in the Château Grand Rullecourt is like sleeping inside a piece of France's history and we highly recommend it to other travellers. We hope to come back soon.

Everything was excellent.
