Escale Oceania Orléans offered a very good price for what is offering. The parking place is generous and safe. Very nice place with interesting architecture on the Loire bank river with very easy access. Close to the city center with an enjoyable walk of 15 min far, half of it on the bank river. Comfy rooms, clean, daily towels changed, refreashing the room and spreading the sheets on the bed. Coffee and tea in the room.

Changing the bed sheets at least once for a stay of 6 days would be better. The room close to the elevator could be noisy sometimes.

The hotel itself, whilst not in the city centre, was only a 10 minute walk along the river to the shops and the centre. Parking was behind the hotel in an enclosed yard. The rooms, although not big, were adequate for our needs. The bed was large and comfortable and our room had a view of the river Loire. The bathroom was well equipped with a large walk in shower that was superb. The internet and wifi was both fast and reliable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us with information on the city and called taxis for us. Nothing was too much trouble. For a nice city break, we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although adequate, more wardrobe space would be useful for a long stay.

This hotel is a little gem. Right across the road from the Loire River with a big car park at the rear. At check in, we were offered a choice of room at the back (quieter away from the road) or at the front with magnificent view of the Loire. We took the view. Room was a good size with a toilet and shower room. Car park included covered archways for motorcycle or bicycle parking. No charge for parking on first come first served basis. Some late arrivals' cars were accommodated at the front. Breakfast was a good buffet choice with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages available. Scrambled egg was good too. Plenty of staff but they struggled to keep the buffet replenished in this busy and popular hotel. Location was fantastic with a 20 minute walk along the river side path to the old bridge and then up into the main square and cathedral area. It is very near to the autoroute junction and is easy to find.

Replenishing breakfast buffet could have been a bit smarter. Guests had to ask for items and we waited 5 minutes for orange juice.

The whole hotel and staff were very good and professional. The room and public areas were clean and neat and the breakfast was excellent.

The big issue is the car parking because there is not enough space for the guests' cars as there are accommodation rooms - this was admitted by the hotel. We were told we should have checked-in earlier - but, if so, then some later guest would have had the parking problem. Perhaps some space for at least an overnight car parking (say from 18:00 one day to 08:00 the next day) could be arranged with a local premises that needs their car parking in the day but not overnight - a business could be in this situation perhaps. The very narrow entrance to the car park was a concern - but nothing can be done about that. However, we did wait and a space came free for us in the car park and of course it feels to be a secure car park rather than on the street.

Good location walkable to centre, river just across the road, parking, clean. This time the staff were all really friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

We stayed on a Saturday so breakfast on Sunday (it seems to be popular with people like us, stopping over on the way home to several countries) was very busy. Last year we stayed Sunday and it was fine. There weren't enough tables for everyone to sit and you had to queue for coffee and food. The staff worked really hard to replenish and clear everything but it's a smallish space.

Room ready and appropriate to our needs with 2 dogs. Staff welcoming and friendly. We used room only option, although breakfast was offered. Parking convenient. Location excellent on riverfront and short walk to town. Bathroom small to utilise small space, but very good walk in shower.

Would have liked a kettle for tea/coffee, but we did book small dog friendly room for just one night so not a big issue. Last year we missed entrance to hotel when arriving on opposite side of road (nearest river), with traffic behind.

Comfortable bed and nice easy free parking at the back of the hotel. Dog friendly with friendly staff too. The breakfast is very good, plentiful and is excellent value. A separate toilet in the room is unusual but welcome. Lastly a kettle is always welcome! Overall very good value for money with nice view of the River from our room.

So so close to a 9 out of 10 (I would rate it 8.5) - Slight minus with cleanliness of corridors (stains on carpet). No fridge or safe in room and uninspired decor knock it down.

1. Very slightly dated, 2 city location next to busy road (sound insulation good) but quite a lot of car fumes outside. 3 main problem apart from Mercure hotel 5 Minutes walk (booked up Tour de France) all other eateries of any note ln Orleans center at least 15+ minutes away walking via busy roads etc. So if you don't need easy access to food and don't mind inner city location OK but not for us again.

The location was very good as for a stopover from the UK to the south of France. it was a pleasant 20 minute walk beside the Seine to the historic part of Orleans where there were plenty of restaurants and bars. The hotel had free parking. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There was a problem with hot water in the bathroom, but the staff dealt with this by moving us to another room. The car park was a bit busy but we did find a space. No real problems overall.

A good location within walking distance of the centre of Orleans. Did the job for a stopover on our way to southern France. Furnishings are basic but everything was clean and functional. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is behind the hotel accessed through an arch in the middle of the building. This stumped us for a while and we drove around for about 10 minutes before we worked out how to get in!

It would be good if the hotel provided information about how to access the parking. It seems obvious once you know but you have to be going the right way along the riverfront road and if you miss it going the other way it is quite difficult to get back! The breakfast was ok but nothing special. A few things had run out by the time we came downstairs and that was at 8am!
