This hotel has a lot going for it, location, excellent public transport, cleanliness, good staff and is close to becoming my hotel of choice in Paris bu it has 1 fatal flaw.

The sound insulation between the rooms is very poor. When people in the adjoining rooms are talking in a normal voice you can hear every word. This is very odd because the double glazing is very good quality and there is a minimum of street noise. If your neighbours are up late watching television or just talking, you will not be pleased unless you fall asleep very quickly. This could be fixed quickly and inexpensively.

Lovely hotel for the price. Was our first time in Paris, but we found it very easy to get around from the hotel. Nice bathroom with a bathtub and good lightning. Coffee machine and water boiler for coffee and tea in the room.

Only minus was the fire-alarm going off at 6 in the morning on my last night, so I managed to get locked out of my room in only my underwear and had to go down to the lobby and wait for a bit for them to figure out what it was and then fix me a new key card.

We had a great stay at Hotel Prince Eugene. The location was excellent. Away from the throngs of tourists and in an authentic neighbourhood of Paris, where people head off to work and take their kids to school. Plenty of nearby metro stops, shops and restaurants. Easy to get around. The hotel itself was quite nice, with a boutique feel to it. The room was a little on the small side, but that’s Paris! The staff we dealt with were lovely and helpful, and the place was kept nice and clean.

Smallish room but that’s not unexpected for Paris.

The staff were very helpful. The room was nicely decorated and clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was good. The location was very near Nation station, where there are many metro and RER lines so it was easy to get around. The booklet in the room recommended shops and restaurants in the area which was very helpful. We found some very good restaurants with these recommendations. There are big trees growing by the boulevard, which was lovely to see. The bedroom is small, but this was what we were expecting in an older Paris hotel, and it was not a problem for us.

Nothing

The hotel was easy to find and is located a few minutes away on foot from the Nation metro station. The hotel itself was clean, the staff was both friendly and helpful upon check-in and check-out. Although the room was small, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Although the hotel had already been paid for, they had issues with their payment terminal and guests were unable to pay by credit/debit card. Therefore, one had to pay for everything using cash. Likely not a recurring problem, but unfortunate timing as the problem occurred during the weekend.

Location is not in the tourist area, which was the reason I chose this place. The 11, 12th arrondisment doesn't have much attractions to see, but this is the hip-lively neighborhood, so there were a plethora of places to dine and wine. And since Paris is not that large, access to the center of Paris is no problem at all. About the facilities of the hotel; it's quite rare to find a hotel in Paris with a mini bar and air conditioning system which was a blessing in the sweltering sumner heat of Paris. This place is kind of like a Japanese business hotel: the room may be small in size but is equipped with almost everything. Also all the staff I met were very kind and welcoming.

The luggage storage area is my only disappointment. They just let you leave your baggage in a corner sitting area, which was quite disturbing for me. I mean, Paris is famous for its robbery on tourists and the idea of just leaving your luggage in open space was not something I wanted to risk.

The Hotel was in a really great location for visiting family who live there and also for the Nation station. Loved the room at this hotel and also the fact it was sound proofed so the road noise from the main Boulevarde was more or less cushioned when in the room especially overnight. Some wonderful places to eat and drink along the Boulevarde and the area beyond too. We would highly recommend this hotel a reasonable price for the standard of room and the good breakfast that was included and a great start to the day.

It was the fact the taxi drivers are being untruthful at the Gare du Nord as you arrive and demanding silly prices for the transfer to the Hotel. People have arrived after a long day of travel and we asked at least 6 different taxis for a price which ranged from 50 euros to 65 euros for what turned out to be a 15 minute ride. The actual price it should have been as we found out at the hotel and on our return journey the day we left was around 25/27 euros. This is very bad and in the words of my husband to the first taxi driver and his up market car 'Nice car I am paying for it'.

A wonderful place to stay at the Hotel Du Prince Eugene, you won’t be disappointed. Great size room and bathroom. comfy beds, mini fridge and kettle in the room. Complimentary coffee and cakes in the foyer. A great location with many transport options in the metro, train and bus lines. It’s generally a 20-25 minute ride into the city but as it’s Paris it’s a good option for accommodation price. Lots of options and choices for restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating - thank you for our visit and if another opportunity arises we will be back 😊

I highly recommend this hotel. The room was spacious, by Paris standards. The breakfast was varied and the offerings fresh. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The location may not appeal to some visitors to Paris, being outside the typical "tourist" areas, but, for me, that was a positive. Place Nation has easy connections to wherever you want to go, and you get to stay in a more "regular" Paris neighborhood.
