This is a fairly large hotel in a built up area not far from the Station where we had left our car a week earlier and was chosen for its location. However it was only a short walk to the centre where we found a street market in full swing on the Saturday Morning. In the afternoon we did a short walk to the Marinas and museums that are close to the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during both our visits to them. The room was typical of a big hotel with just what you need for a comfortable stay and the breakfasts were all good.

There seems to be no parking at the hotel but they were able to accommodate our cycles so we left our car near the railway station were we had put it a week earlier.

the management of water temperature is not good: in the shower, the water temperature might change from cold to burning ! The breakfast was OK, but some scramble eggs and bacon would have made me happy

Nice hotel, good location, it is a bit of a walk to the main shops and restaurants (about 8 mins) close to a Marina. We booked a double but we were given a very large triple room with well equipped large shower room with separate toilet, Beds where large and very comfortable. If you are lucky you can get free parking very close by, if not you can pay to park in a car cark right by the hotel. Very good selection for breakfast at a good price also dogs are welcome, we have stayed many times and it is one of the cheapest hotels in the town.

The rooms are very hot in the summer as there is no air conditioning there is a fan in the room.

It's okay. Just for information: Parking in front of the hotel is city paid, paid through a parking machine. But there was plenty of space and parking was free until 9am. You need coins to pay.

Good location next to thermal baths. Exceptionally helpful staff. Good bar and excellent restaurant serving French classics - we had canard and mash equivalent. Excellent. Comfortable beds

Nothing not to like

The staff were lovely, the hotel was fine. Really good dinner and a wonderful waiter. The courtyard was really nice and a good place to chill.

I love France. Truly love it. But Rochefort is an absolute dump. The hotel was the best thing about it. I went for a wander late in the evening to see if I'd missed anything - I was with my father who's 84, so can't do long walks. I'd say I meandered for around two hours and it was rubbish. Great hotel, good location, the breakfast had a good selection including boiled eggs, staff very helpful and friendly. Very large comfortable bed also the room was of a good size with small balcony with a table and two chairs, large bathroom. Highly recommended.

There is no air conditioning in the hotel and our room was too hot, a fan was supplied but it could not cope!

Everything except for the Wifi was wonderful. Room was large and comfortable and heating was good. No complaints whatsoever.

Wifi was unreliable. It could be stable for a while, and then you would get kicked out for no reason in the middle of your session. There were also times when it was impossible to connect no matter how many times you tried.

Nice hotel, we stay here often, Pets allowed very large room with massive bed and good size bathroom. An 8min walk to the center. Very reasonable price.

Rooms are very warm with just a fan, no air conditioning! We avoid summer months here.

People at the front desk as well as at the restaurant were very kind, food was very good.

The room is old and wild need a bit of renovation
