Our stay at La Ferme in Saint-Marc Jaumegarde was nothing short of delightful. This charming B&B, housed in a 200-year-old building with classic Provence rustic style, complete with blue window shutters, was a picturesque retreat. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden cradled in trees, featuring a large lawn, a fish pond with koi carps, and a lovely swimming pool. The serene and lush environment provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Jean-Christoph Fournier, the owner, speaks perfect English and was incredibly charming and helpful. He provided us with excellent recommendations for exploring the area and dining at nearby restaurants. His dedication to the B&B was evident, as he single-handedly managed all the gardening, cleaning, ironing, and breakfast preparations. The B&B is ideally located, just a 15-minute drive from Aix-en-Provence and surrounded by stunning mountains. It’s also only an hour’s drive from the famous lavender fields, where we spent a magical day immersed in beauty. Overall, La Ferme offered an idyllic and authentic Provençal experience, thanks to its beautiful setting and the hard work and hospitality of Jean-Christoph. We highly recommend it for a peaceful and memorable stay in Provence.

everything was nice

Everything! This is a gorgeous, unique property a very short drive from Aix, and walking distance from mountain trails. John is a great host, and super helpful. He helped us with a walking trail, and even made a dinner reservation for us. The room for 4 people is really a mini apartment - homely, spacious and comfortable. Our whole family loved the swimming pool! The photos don’t do this place justice. If you are in the area, you should definitely visit.

There is genuinely nothing not to love.

We loved the breakfast and the comfy bed. We were out of seen so unable to properly enjoy the pool but the grounds are lovely. The owner, Jean-Christophe, was very friendly and helpful with lots of recommendations of what to see and do. The room itself was beautifully decorated and there was tons of space. In fact, there was a second bedroom, and second bathroom in our unit. We had particular fun talking with the owner about the Rugby World Cup. He made the stay very pleasant and easy.

There is some sound transfer from the house to the ground floor of the room we stayed in. Not a problem though as the bedrooms are on the upper floor. I needed a desk to work at and Jean-Christophe helpfully brought in a table and chairs for me, which was great. On Monday evenings there aren't a lot of eating options nearby but we had a decent meal at a local spot recommended by Jean-Christophe.

This was our second stay in La Ferme. This is a peaceful place to spend a couple of nights and recharge again. Close to Aix-en Provence but away from the crowd. You can listen the sounds of the trees and birds. You can spend the whole day at the pool area or you can drive to lavender fields or Luberon villages in between 30-45 minutes. Owner. The B&B is absolutely beautiful with its lush gardens and the cute fish pond and pool. The room was very clean, with an interesting layout. The location is also very good: convenient for exploring Provence but also next to a city (Aix). The host was cool, he made us feel welcome and we liked chatting to him during breakfast.

We found it fun, since we only stayed for a few nights, but the freestanding bathtub inside the room might be a bit tricky for some.

Jean was a lovely host with helpful tips about all the local points of interest as well as being an intelligent and solid conversationalist! The building and grounds are beautiful.and full.of rustic French charm. Peaceful and quiet with incredible natural beauty a few minutes away by the dam and nature reserve. Aix en provence is one of the nicest places I've been.

I couldn't stay longer.

We had a car, so La Ferme's location (close to Montange Saint Victore) and 5km from Aix en Provence was perfect for us. Our host was very helpful with recommendations for parking, restaurants, and local drives. The property was relaxing, and pool welcoming after a hot day sightseeing. Breakfast sitting in garden was perfect. There was an electric car charging station 10min walk away so we left the car there for several hours each night. A pizza and bar van magically appeared each evening 2min away if you didn't feel like travelling into Aix. Pizza excellent.

Everything and especially the fabulous hosts! The rooms we had were comfy, well decorated and a pleasure. We spent 5 nights there and recommend it highly. .Although out of the centre we loved the peace and rural aspect. Parking was greatat the property and. we could drive to a car park and walk in. Breakfast provided daily was wonderful and a bonus.

October 19-26, 2022. La Ferme in Saint-Marc Jaumegarde, a 15-minute drive from Aix-en-Provence, is among the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in! Four residential units - Provence rustic style – are cradled in trees, in addition to a big lawn, a fish pond and a small swimming pool (just for cooling off and relaxing). Although we were one couple, we received a full family unit with a small living-room and refrigerator on the ground floor and two large rooms a few steps up. There was a beautiful modern shower as well as a deep old-fashioned bathtub in the main sleeping room. Our front yard included a wooden table and chairs, where we often picnicked with two friends who were booked at La Ferme as well. Other units too have outdoor furniture, perfect for drinking wine and eating camembert from a nearby supermarket. Each day’s breakfast (juice, eggs, cheeses, jams, baguettes, croissants, coffee—all in abundance) was prepared by the owner, Jean-Christoph Fournier, who does all the work on the place, speaks perfect English and is very charming and helpful. The four of us used La Ferme as a base for daily excursions to other Provence locations, seven nights in total. What to look out for: not all units are as commodious as the one we had, so find out in advance which unit you are getting and what it contains. Mosquitos live well in Provence, and La Ferme is no exception. Come prepared.

The stay at La Ferme was excellent. It is beautiful romantic property with wonderful landscape, swimming pool and old-fashioned yet modern rooms. Very quiet without any noise, only the sounds of nature. Special praise for our host who gave us useful tourist tips, prepared breakfast and took care of everything. I will highly recommend this place to my friends.
