This is a grand house - the drive up is wonderful - my room was generous in size - charming country house vibe - the lounge was decked out for Christmas and I really had the Bing Crosby Xmas feeling as a sipped my perfectly made vodka martini - I had a chance to use the pool which was clean and warm - dinner was good - tasty and innovative -

I would categorised these as didn’t like - improvements: more bathroom towels and face towels - offer a wine by the glass menu so that guests can try more that one wine recommend by the house - the wine I bought was expensive compared to the normal retail price - I expect to pay 2or 3 times but this was more is too much.

A pretty and quite large chateau with additional converted stable rooms, with French windows opening onto a walled garden suitable for dogs. The rooms were well furnished to a high standard. The grounds were very attractive, and surrounded by a working mainly arable farm suitable for more extensive dog walking. Despite staying on a Monday evening when the full menu service was unavailable, the evening meal was of good quality, and there was an outstanding wine cellar, although not cheap.

The overall ambience of the place was good, but there was a curious garden art display of large plastic animals would have been better placed in a children's theme park.

The spa facilities are great. Lovely restaurant and bar. Really enjoyed our stay here. Very dog-friendly hotel!

Don't let this stop you from staying at this hotel, but just to give management some feedback, the mattresses and pillows were too hard. Also, the dog that belongs to the hotel attacked my little puppy at reception as we were walking past. Luckily my dog was on the lead, but I don't think it's acceptable to have such a big dog wandering around knowing that he might not like the attention of other dogs.

This is a beautiful property set in the middle of the countryside. We had a lovely room and slept so well it was almost 9 before we woke - so very quiet. We used the pool, which we had to ourselves that day, and the hot tub. As we stayed on a Monday, the usual restaurant service was not available, however we were contacted beforehand advising us of the situation and offering an alternative. We chose the room service menu, which we were able to eat in the salon overlooking the garden, and notwithstanding the restaurant not being open in their usual manner, we still received a first class service with apéritif’s, amuse bouche, drinks with our meal and coffee in the lounge. This is a truly fabulous place and well worth a visit even if only for one night.

A superb upmarket chateau hotel in the middle of the countryside half an hour away from Laon. Our room and the hotel facilities were top class; the restaurant is superb (with prices to match but you can see what you are paying for). Lovely pool and spa.

The service in the restaurant on our second evening was appalling. There was a large party in one half of the restaurant and we had the impression that the staff resources were almost entirely dedicated to them to the extent that we were largely forgotten for much of the evening. A hotel of this standard should be able to deal with this situation far better.

Although expensive, dinner was a very pleasurable experience after we had worked out how the various menu combinations applied. Assistance from the staff was both patient and helpful. The service was immaculate, the staff well dressed, very friendly and well informed and the food exceptional. The crispy turbot has been the chef's signature for twenty years and one can taste why.

Room a bit dark and gloomy. Had doors and architraves been painted white a more cheery atmosphere would have been achieved. Window tall but narrow (as with most French chateaux). Corridors narrow and staircases gloomy

Large open space with access to walks, fields etc. Modern room, large size but in historic old property. A really fantastic restaurant! Highly recommended!

It seemed to be policy to ask guests to wait in bar/salon area whilst luggage and room prepared. I think hotel believes this is a good guest welcome, but most guests will be tired, keen to get to room and maybe go to the loo! Much better would be to ensure rooms are ready on arrival and take guests straight there. Drinks can be offered after. Decoration around the property is sometimes overly individual/quirky and not in keeping with the property and overall image of the place.

This is an amazing small hotel with a great restaurant. The rooms are luxurious and are able to accommodate families. We asked for rooms near each other and ended up with two rooms that had a shared area outside that we could lock, in effect we had a two bedroom suite. The staff are professional. The pool is indoors are kept warm. The wifi is reliable.

Its difficult to find fault in anything.

Decent EV charging, 2 x Porsche 7kw and 1 x Tesla chargers and they had reserved one for me per my request, can't ask for more. Left the next morning after a great breakfast with 100% charge. Room was lovely and ideal after a long drive.

Having arrived very late it was dark between the car park and the main building so some motion sensing lights would help, mentioned this at check out and they said they would look into it. Nitpicking really

The property is set beautifully in the French countryside. The rooms were attractively decorated. The whole property has been beautifully completed. The evening food was lovely.

It is in the middle of no where and quite a journey back to the motorway. The breakfast was very average.
