This hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the center of everything! Explore the local attractions, dine out, or shop, all is within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for both business and leisure travelers. During weekday, Place Gutenberg is very quiet. The cleanliness here is top-notch. The rooms are spotless, with well-maintained furnishings that make the space feel welcoming and comfortable. The same attention to detail is given to the small lobby and breakfast area. The staff were a perfect balance of professional and friendly, always available when needed but never intrusive. Every interaction felt warm and attentive.

I informed the hotel that we will be using a wheelchair so they understood that meant we have mobility issues. Much to our delight, they booked us a spacious room right off the lobby. It was so convenient and very much appreciated. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I wrote several messages inquiring about various things and the they always responded promptly and with helpful information. Again, this is so greatly appreciated.

The only minor glitch is that we arrived early but knew the room would likely not be ready until the 3pm check in time. They said they'd inform us when the room was available. We went to lunch then came back to the lobby to wait for the room. After sitting in the lobby a while, I thought that I had better check with the front desk if our room might be ready. Apparently it was already available but we weren't informed. It's fine and not a big deal; just a minor oversight.

I got an upgrade to an executive room. I loved how spacious it was, the furniture, and even the sloping ceilings (mansardée) which I guess made the room more typic despite the modern decor. The room was well cleaned; the bed, the sofa and the pillows were all extremely comfortable. I also really appreciated that the room was ready well before the official check-in time. Also great location and very good breakfast. Thank you in particular to Massimo who made sure that I liked the room upgrade and my stay in general. A true professional! I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends that will visit Strasbourg.

Excellent location, a short walk to the Cathedral, Petite France and the Christmas markets. Very comfortable, clean and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice of hot and cold buffet. Lovely touches like there was a chocolate Santa on the bed on arrival and they came to the room every afternoon to give chocolates to celebrate that day’s saint. Of course the rate is at least trebled at this time of year but that’s supply and demand! I thoroughly recommend this hotel x

Clean and modernized. The location was perfect, with the Place Gutenberg park house only a few meters away. Breakfast was good. Staff was very accommodating.

If I had to pick, I'd just say that Breakfast could get a bit crowded on the weekends (we went early and were ok). The bathrooms were clean and nice but were not truly separate compartments within the rooms, the glass door and wall - which don't extend to the ceiling - didn't offer as much privacy or retain humidity from a shower. May be a problem depending on one's comfort with the other person

This is a historic hotel that has been beautifully updated and modernized. We were in a top floor in a funky loft - it wasn't big but it was comfortable. The views were lovely. The location is perfect - a few steps from the cathedral, so many restaurants, shops. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super yummy with a ton of options.

We just wish we would have stayed longer in Strasbourg! I always prefer a firmer mattress, but they seem to be in short supply in Europe.

Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast and overall a very good experience. The room was quite spacious with a great view of the cathedral, there were some bathrobes and slippers provided. We took part into an initiative of the hotel that if no cleaning is required for 1 day of the stay(2 days or + stays only) you could get two beers as a reward, was quite good and allowed us to taste some locally brewed beer. The room had a minibar and a nespresso coffee machine as well as coffee capsules. Breakfast had many choices like bacon, scrambled eggs, chicken sausages, many types of bread, including gluten free, region sweets, pain au chocolat, croissant, pancakes, jams, cheeses, hams, youghurt, hardboiled eggs, many fruit juices to choose from, a coffee machine and filtered coffee, many teas, fresh milk, and even lemon slices for the tea. Overall one of the best buffet breakfast I had. Staff was always keeping an eye on the stock and refilling it as well. There were as well some fruits and sweets always available on the reception area.

A small note is that I stayed on an attic room, and I would say to avoid booking it if you're over 1,70m as the shower was very low and I could almost hit the ceiling. Of course the booking said it was an attic floor, but expected a bit higher ceilings.

Fantastic location. Short walk from train station, yet in the heart of historic center. Loved having mini-soft pretzels and candy dish at reception. When you walk out the front door of the hotel you can see the cathedral at the end of the street. The room was very nice. Nice modern, cozy, and upscale decor. Lots of windows in room that were well insulated. The room and its private bathroom were large, well-designed and comfortable. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice breakfast room, with 2 self-serve cappuccino machines. This was a hotel that we were happy to come back to after a full day of sightseeing in beautiful Strasbourg and the Alsace region.

The selection at breakfast would be better if it included fresh-cooked eggs and unsweetened oatmeal for those looking for more healthy options. Labels on yogurt would be helpful to know how much sugar they have, and plain Greek yogurt would be nice.

We had a great time at Gutenberg hotel Staff was super nice really helpful and always smiling 😊 Location was just perfect 2 minutes away from cathedral and 4 minutes walk from kleber square where there was the Xmas tree. We did not try their breakfast but at the reception they offered hot wine and pretzels which was cute! Rooms are clean and there’s everything you need (there was a coffee machine but no kettle)! Our room wasn’t too small which was perfect for 3 nights stay.

The only only only bad thing is the WiFi It was very weak and would sometimes cut completely and we had to call the reception to restart it so it works! It’s a disappointment since we’re in 2023 🙈
