I traveled by train and the hotel is just 2 minutes from the train station and the tram line. Yet it's in a quiet neighborhood. The city center is within walking distance as well. The hotel is small but very nice. It is clean and the staff is amicable (it was raining a lot and I did not have an umbrella, so they let me borrow one. It's a small thing but highly appreciated). And the value for the money is probably one of the best in the city.

If you prefer to be closer to the city center, this hotel may not be your first choice. Yet, the city of Tours is relatively small, well deserved by buses and tramways and you can get from the hotel to the main landmarks.

I have been working in the hospitality world for over 20 years and this was one of the best welcomes ever. Why? Simple, we were welcomed and greeted with a smile. Unlike other establishments, the person never made us feel burdened by our "non" French accent. The historic building is located in a strategic position, the center is easily reachable on foot, and there is the possibility of parking on the street. A stop in the garden is mandatory, to relax and better appreciate the hotel. What can I say? thank you.

We returned after 2 weeks to collect our car, which had broken down in Tours. The very friendly and helpful receptionist, Giovanni, had organised the repair. He had also upgraded our room, which now had coffee and teak making facilities! Room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We will definitely stay here again. And great thank you to Gio!

Rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, but we still had good night sleep. Rough Guide recommends rooms overlooking the garden, so we'll try that next time.

The staff at reception (Giovani) was extremely helpful. He speaks fluent French, Spanish and English and helped us to find a 'mobile mechanic' for our car. Location of Hotel is on busy road around the corner from the station, but noise level was less then expected. The city centre and cathedral are about 10 minutes walk. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent. We will certainly return.

Fabulous little hotel super close to the train station. Giovani at reception couldn't have been more helpful - a delight. Spacious airy room ... super comfy beds ... spotlessly clean. Easy walk to historic centre. Easy walk to trams. Loved this hotel 💜

There is no lift ... we were on the 2nd floor ... Giovani helped us with our bags which was wonderful. BUT this is not a complaint .... the property is an old manor home - the room size, the little period features more than make up for the little inconvenience of no elevator

The breakfast was amazing. The staff were very kind and helped us organize our train travel (in English). They also accommodated us for a last minute breakfast. Staff went above and beyond for us. The room was very clean.

The room was small but this was expected. Could have used a wash cloth. Unfortunately had to keep our window to the garden closed because the smoke from outside smokers would rise to the room window. Not a huge problem but it did occur - we simply closed the window.

The man who was behind a desk in reception ( who I didn’t get his name to my embarrassment) was exceptional Perfect English and a very knowledgeable and friendly person. His recommendations where perfect The hotel was characterful and a great location with a large car park across the road

Very convenient for the station although I was driving and parking was opposite (payant) or free a 100m or so away and easy to access on a pleasant boulevard. Restaurants and brassiere nearby and close enough to the city centre for a stroll. Nice breakfast, room clean and comfortable, pleasant and helpful staff.

Nothing to not like!

Room was comfortable, but we had asked for air conditioning when we booked and we were led to believe this is what we would get - alas no, although the fan provided did a sterling job. Breakfast was very good, but we discovered we could have had a cooked breakfast for 3 euros less pp down the road. Staff very helpful and friendly.

My husband is 85 and we were on the 2nd floor - 46 steps. There is no lift! Shower is, shall we say compact? Can’t really complain though, as overall this was a good stay and met our needs.

Amazing location = 3min walk from main train station and 15min walk to main shopping/city centre. Awesome room = has everything you need for a comfy stay and if you need more blankets or assistance with something, they respond within minutes. Staff = super fast, friendly service! Book now, its really nice place, safe, clean.. great value for money.

It is an old building so theres no lifts. Only 3 floors though, good exercise hehe
