Our recent stay in the Guest House was an absolute delight. The house's charming decoration blended with the natural surroundings, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was great and we loved the concept of sharing a table with fellow guests. The hospitality of Helen and Steve were exceptional! Vallorcine has a special beauty compared to the other villages in the Chamonix valley. We loved our stay here and would definitely love to come back!

It's a wonderful place in a beautiful spot. With an owner and host who really makes you feel welcome and at home. You can start day hikes directly from the house or take the train to the next towns. But we often found ourselves enjoying the place itself before ultimately heading out to planned hike. Thank you Helen, we will definitely come back, see you then :)

Our time at the guest house was a blessing, so quiet and truly dark at night, great for deep rest and recovery from a day of skiing. We stayed at the room with the bath tub, it was so delightful to soak before dinner time. The best part of our stay was the breakfasts and late evenings, when we gathered around the dining room table and chime in for conversations with guests from all over Europe. Helen, our host had such a maternal and nourshing presence, when she scrambles you eggs for breakfast and brings you coffee it is such a speacial feeling. We are thankful for a magical stay at Vallorcine and we are going to come back soon.

The guest house was spotlessly clean in all areas. Our room was very pleasant and comfortable, and we had no problem relaxing. The communal area was a home from home and a place where we were able to take in the great mountain views and enjoy the peaceful location of Vallorcine. We tried Helens Mountain breakfast, and there was plenty of good food provided for a substantial breakfast. Overall, Helen and Steve were great hosts, very hospitable, and we very much enjoyed staying at the Guest House, and certainly would again.

Dropped into The Guest House for a rest day on the TMB. The location is excellent, less than 15 mins walk from the train station. The house is beautifully decorated, and the room was incredibly comfortable. Helen and Steve made me feel right at home, and i really enjoyed our conversations. Combined with a delicious breakfast in the morning before setting off, I recommend The Guest House as the spot to stay when passing through Vallorcine.

Very nice house with a great location. 20 minutes from Chamonix and a few minutes drive from the various ski resorts.

Arriving at night might be a little bit challenging for poor visibility. The hotel is on top a little hill (a few meters) which is only reachable on foot.

Amazing hosting experience! We couldn't ask for better! Helen and Steve create a homely atmosphere with attention to detail and lots of kindness and giving. A rich breakfast, a beautiful yard, clean rooms and a stream flowing under the balcony. Highly recommend for those who want to get away from the busy and expensive cities.

What a beautiful place, in the neighborhood of Chamonix but away from the crowdy area. We loved the common living area and kitchen. Helen&Steven are top hosts and always available for help and suggestions! Great breakfast!!🍳

Helen's property is astoundingly good. The Guest House was comfortable, beautiful, clean, well decorated, and in a stunning location on a huge plot of land surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Helen is such a warm, friendly, caring host - and the breakfast she provides every morning is excellent, with a wide selection of breads, jam, yogurt, cereals, meats and cheeses. We absolutely loved staying here and hope to be back - maybe for some skiing in the winter.

Helen is so hospitable and has created such a warm, cozy, and pleasant home to share with her guests. My room was spotless, so comfortable, and the location is great - close to the train station and Vallorcine ski lift + ski shop.
