Great location right between the Rathaus en the Dom, with the oldest bar from Aachen just below (noise didn’t disturb us and if needed there are hear protection at your disposal). Bed and pillows super comfortable. Heating in toilet en room. Good hairdryer available, windows can be open… easy check in and a lot of places for breakfast near by.
No gel douche or shampoo (normally we are use it to be available in the hotels) but wasn’t a problem (DM is near by the hotel and you can buy it there).

The center city location close to lots of historical places was a huge plus for me!. The place was clean and the room was warm and relaxing!
I didn't like having a front desk to check in at and not having a room key. I found using the key code for all the doors cumbersome and a little difficult. I think this should be disclosed at the time of booking. It would have been nice to be able to ask questions to staff

We went in December in the time that the Christmas market was there. It was the perfect location, very close to where we wanted to roam around, so that you can still take bathroom and rest breaks in between. There is no reception, but it was still very easy to get to your room with your log in details. There is however an overwhelming smell hanging in the hallways that wasn't that pleasant, hence the 8 out of 10 rating I gave. Assuming that the smell comes from the restaurant next door/downstairs mixed with the building being old. This smell is luckily not in the rooms. For the rest our stay was very pleasant, and we will be back if we get the opportunity.
The smell in the hallway.

You can't find a better location in Aachen. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and we loved being able to open the windows that looked out onto the street. Aachen is very walkable, and having a place to stay in the middle of everything made our trip that much better. We would definitely stay again.
Check-in was easy, but the handle to our room was very temperamental. Thankfully we had help from another guest who showed us how to maneuver it (the trick was to turn it very slowly!). The hotel itself was nice and quiet, but you should be aware that the area around it is not. There are some lively bars a few doors down, and you can expect to hear people at all hours of the day and night, even during the week. Because the streets are so narrow and the buildings are so close, the noises are that much louder. It's obviously not the hotel's fault, but if you need quiet when you sleep, be sure to bring your noise-cancelling headphones.

Great location
The automated entry was frustrating especially step 2 at the top of the steps to gain entry to the room. The code on my room was especially difficult to enter reliably, and being my first night after a long trip, was even more a nuisance and made me fearful of successful entry.

The best location, in a beautiful place of the city full of cafes and restaurants, a supermarket nearby. The room was beautiful and warm as it was very cold weather this week. I really had a good experience, it was great !
I couldn’t connect to internet

Great location, spotlessly clean & easy check-in
a couple of teabags would have been good as well as the fabulous coffee provided. But that's just a personal thing.

Great location. Clean and tidy room. Quiet with the windows closed, even though there are bars nearby.
Smell of fish in the hallway. Self check-in, which works well enough but is very impersonal.

Very good location and all attractions are nearby
Checking in with the machine and doing payment to the property was panicking when we forgot the PIN number and couldn’t reach out to when we are foreigners

Great location next to Aachen Cathedral. Comfortable bed, quiet and clean, heat and hot water at your discretion.
Under the door came the smell of food from the restaurant downstairs. We had to put a towel to reduce the smell. The code access system is quite annoying. Check-in machine in an awkward position.
