The location was excellent. Rooms are quiet and spacious. All personal from receptionists, cleaners or restaurant lady were polite, professional and helpful. A big plus is that there is a small fridge in the room. Breakfast was fine too.

The water in the shower was a bit cold-ish but no major issues with this. I can't really complain considering the price, we paid 51€ for one night (two person booking). When you take into account the cost of breakfast, cleaning of the room, paying for the laundry, paying wages to employees, paying to the booking website/company...they have actually very little income. Therefore, I can't really complain. If needed, I'd rather stay here, at Margrit Hotel, than to stay in one big international hotel chain. Best is to support a small, local businesses.

It's good that I didn't cancel this reservation after reading the reviews. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Spacious room with high ceilings. The building itself is history... the elevator is especially interesting. Fines about windows are written for those people who are not used to living together in a residential building with other owners (smoking out the window, throwing objects or cigarette ash out the window, spitting out the window). The mattress and the bed itself are comfortable. There are enough channels on the TV to suit any taste. There is liquid soap and gel/shampoo in the bathroom. The Internet works great. The breakfast is not rich, but I had enough choice so that I did not want to eat until lunch. The staff is welcoming (I did not encounter a single person who would answer me badly, did not say hello or was rude).

Some elements of the rooms need to be updated (for example, the window frames have not been painted for a long time and the wood in them is already deteriorating). You can hear other guests walking and talking in the corridor or opening/closing doors. The curtains do little to block out the morning sun light. The hotel is quite far from the main attractions.

Very nice place. Spacious clean room, with large bathroom and delicious breakfasts included. Nice, knowledgeable staff. No organisational problems at all. Very nice area, safe and close to everywhere. Optimal prices. Highly recommended! An additional attraction is the historic lift :)

The ban on opening windows, although understandable, did bother me a little. Some people may be bothered by the smell of cigarettes, with which the carpet in the corridor is soaked. For me it doesn't matter. It is ok.

The hotel's location is very convenient - three minutes from the underground station. The building is old, but the room is quite comfortable and well equipped. Good soundproofing, the neighbors were not heard at all. Good breakfast, which is included in the price.

We didn't like the bed. The mattress was too soft, which was not very comfortable. The pillows were also not of the best quality.

This hotel for me and my husband is a place where we stay every time when we are in Berlin. It has been more than 10 times already. Good location, nice place, tasty breakfast and cheap. I recommend Margrit to all my friends

Mattrese could be better. It's time to change it for a new one. During the last few months, it's impossible to pay by card. Unfortunately, the payment method hasn't changed yet.

Very pleased with this hotel. This is an old house, with an elevator in the center. Very friendly staff. The administrator Irina explained everything in detail, gave advice on the climb and attractions. Administrator Vika told a lot about Berlin and its history. Very satisfied! I recommend!

The room and bathroom were comfortable and big. The breakfast which was included in the price was amazing. There was plenty to choose from, like cheese, ham, cooked eggs, cereals, yoghurt, vegetables, different sorts of bread, orange juice, milk and cake on Sundays. The staff was helpful and made sure everything was replenished quickly. The atmosphere in the breakfast room was cosy and the room was nicely decorated. The hotel is situated centrally and only two minutes from the next Underground station. There is also a bus stop just a six-minute-walk away.

If you like to sleep with open windows at night it can get a bit noisy from passing cars and the central heating made a hissing sound. That shouldn't be a problem during the warmer months.

The staff at the desk were always friendly. Good free breakfast each morning, with boiled eggs, cheese, cold cuts, rolls, vegetables, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Room was huge, with a mini fridge. Comfortable bed. Stall shower. Our friends left unfinished beer behind for us and the desk happily delivered it. Great value for money and location (especially if you want to see Charlottenburg Palace, which you should). Would happily stay again.

The room was spacious, hotel has got a vintage look and the unique lift gives it the perfect bonus points. It was clean and they took care of cleaning all throughout the stay. We reached early morning and had an overnight journey. Hotel staff were very helpful and gave us early check in. It was just a relief we needed at that point of time.

The breakfast buffet was very good, nice and welcoming staff, nice size room, and good size windows that let in fresh air. The shower is in the room. The rooms had a small refrigerator that was a huge plus for us.

There is no parking nearby. The parking garage is 15 minutes walking to and from. The elevator is super tiny for luggage. This required extra time for check-in and check-out. The toilet is shared and located in the hallway outside the rooms.
