Although we had a lovely suite with separate seating room, the only television in the room was in the bedroom so couldn't make the most of relaxing watching the TV other than sitting on the bed There was no kettle in the room, but after contacting reception one was sent up to the room

Gorgeous little hotel in Flensburg. We barely left! Very nice for a relaxing and romantic stay - beautifully fitted out room and excellent vibe happening in the lounge area. Staff were very kind and there are lots of nice little extra touches throughout. Spa and pool were super nice too.

Excellent staff, welcomed us with sparkling wine and all the needed information.

Neither me nor my partner had a good night sleep. Something with the bed that felt uncomfortable. Also make sure to order a table for dinner because there is nothing in the close walking distance.

We liked absolutely everything. With kids almost 3 and almost 6 the Family Spa just the place to go. Breakfast was delicious but also huge variety of dishes where some of them are from the farm owned by the hotel. The staff was great and parking also very convenient. Location wise it also works well when on one hand you are in Flensburg with 5 min drive to city center and on other hand you are almost outside the city with access to the water as well. And we also received a free upgrade to a bigger room :)

The Breakfast had a large and comprehensive choice. Staff were knowledgeable and willing to help. Food was exceptional quality

Service was a little slow on Saturday night, took 1hr to get a soup starter and a main meal. We had to ask for more drinks and bread.

Everything was great as we splurged for a night after a long day cycle touring. The roof pool, staff, and room quality were all excellent and hotel has great character. Fantastic breakfast. Great bicycle parking in the hotel too!

The “small” room we booked was still spacious and lovely, only had one design quirk of part of skylight/windows had no covering or shade, so we had to really improvise to block light.

We stayed eight nights for our holidays in an urban cozy room. Das James is more than a hotel, it's a whole concept and a team that does its very best to offer you an equisite stay. The building is a reconverted industrial building into a luxury place in front of a beautiful fjord. The hotel has an exceptional buffet breakfast with very good fish (something you are hoping for being near the sea) and a lot of products (cold cuts, dairy, cheese, bread, confiture) from their own farm! The quality of the products from "The Farm" is also very very high. The bar has beautiful cocktails and great barmen capable of creating cocktails on the spot for you. The wellness area on three levels has an indoor/outdoor rooftop pool, two saunas at different temperatures, a steam bath, several rooms to read, drink a cocktail or simply sleep, a small dining area, showers. The room was clean, furnished with taste, with a beautiful view and and a coffee machine with refills of capsules for free every day. The bathroom looks also great, clean and comfortable. It is not a cheap place to stay but it will totally exceed your expectations.

The location of the hotel is slightly out of the city so unfortunately an hour of walk is needed to reach the city centre. Nevertheless, there is a bus stop 10 min walk from the hotel where there are direct buses every 10 minutes. A taxi trip until the city centre is also under 10 eur. The fjord view and the quiet area compensates the maybe not so central placement. The matresses were alright but a bit too soft and they can be improved. It happened several times that the ladies sauna was not on. For a person with dissabilities, the carpet on the hallways and the way to the sauna with a lot of stairs it could be challenging.

staff were fantastic and hands on. the room was brilliant, all new, good equipment in the mini bar, I did miss some slippers and laundry service bag though. The beds were fantastic. Food was good. The service staff in the bar was super enthusiastic and attentive.

The gym coups have more cardio machines but maybe I just didn’t see them.

Stylish with good quality without being too posh. Room was spacious with own balcony and bed excellent, adding nice area for work (rare in even business hotels). Splendid bar, and brilliant breakfast.

For a spot like this, staff could be more relaxed - but same applies to Northern Germany. In otherwise relaxing environment a small detail.
