The room was well designed and felt high end. The shower was wonderful and water pressure sublime. plenty of storage and safe for valuables. Bed was comfy and tv had multiple subtitle options.

Our room faced the courtyard and the business on the other side was having a late night event. The music was pretty loud and could be heard through the windows. I understand that things cannot be helped, but advance notice upon checkin or sometime before 11pm would've been appreciated. The showerhead needed to be at use the right position or else it will spray the wall, towels, and floor outside the shower door.

Great location, seamlessly easy check in and extremely comfortable bed/room. Consistent quality at this Courtyard by Marriot location. Parking underground for a discounted rate of €16 when validated at reception.

It's a Marriott so it delivers. My secod time here and I still like it.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they pushed the membership on me. I arrived at 12.30 and I was told there was no room available (which I didn't want anyway, I just wanted to leave my bag). However, I was told that if I subscribe to they Marriott programme, there will be a room available immediately. I declined and I mentioned I wanted to leave the bag and return later, I was asked again if I was sure I didn't want to become a member. In fairness Marriot Hotels are great, but in Europe there are plenty of great hotels and chains. It's only worth being a member if you travel in the US where hotels are hit and miss, so a reliable chain is useful.

The hotel is only 5 to 10 minutes walk from the city center. It is perfectly located. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the city and going to the University and eating at all of the wonderful cafes and restaurants in the area. The front desk handed us a map and a list of casual, fine dining, and Michelin star restaurants in the area upon arrival. Check-in was easy and fast. Everything was spotless and just what we asked for. The snacks downstairs were good (try the mini sandwiches!) The fitness area had very nice equipment and was quiet and empty when I went.

The beds are hard. The pillows are flaccid and flat. I did not sleep well. And, there was a loud popping noise every 10 minutes or so. I would have liked a better beer selection and a better whisky selection, but it's not a bar in the same way as one you go out to would be. The restaurant menu was pretty pedestrian, but I didn't try it. There is so much in the area! The fitness area did not have a lot of options, and if there was another person in there working out, I don't know that I would have been able to complete a workout.

My stay at the Courtyard exceeded my expectations on all levels. The staff is welcoming and always ready to help, yet remaining discreet. The room was well furnished and very clean. Everything functioned to the perfection. The bathroom was a dream to use. I appreciated the power outlets at the head of the bed. The bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really worth it, diverse and complete with lots of fresh products. The coffee is very good too. I ended up eating there every morning. The bar and restaurant area is friendly and a good place to catch up on your email or get some work done. Nice terrace, although you do feel a bit encased in by the neighbouring buildings. Perfect location, next to the railway station and minutes from the town center. Recommended A+++

I have stayed here a couple of times now and I will definitely stay again. the location is spot on, 5 min walk into town. The rooms comfy and the staff are very helpful.

The only thing that I didn't like was the tea/coffee facilites in the room. For a start their were only paper cups! When I went to make a tea, all that they had was fruity or healthy tea. As an English man, I do like a good cup of tea when I wake up, but unfortunately I could not do this. Please please can this be sorted?

1) Modern building and facilities. Right "on the spot", close to city center (3 min walk) and Train Station (1 min Walk). 2) Great Breakfast (expensive) and very gentle and professional staff. 3) Rooms have windows which open partially, what´s good give the fact that sometimes windows are sealed. 4) Perfect underground parking, at ~15 EUR/day when a hotel guest. Very convenient, spacious, clean and with EV chargers if needed. Extremely convenient in a town where parking on the streets is a nightmare.

1) Gym is very poor! Not bad for cardio, with 2 threadmills, 1 step and 1 bike, however its vary bad for weight exercises. Only some dumbbells and 1 bench. Definitely a CROSS OVER station and a second bench are missing. 2) Breakfast good but quite expensive (~ 40EUROS!!!).

1- No daily refilling of complimentary water bottles in rooms after cleanup by housekeeping 2- Hotel has charged us extra for breakfast due to wrong number of guests indicated in the booking and this was due to an error or clutch in the booking system of booking.com. We have called booking.com to fix it out but the hotel has insisted to consider only the number of guests indicated in the original booking 3- Breakfast options were too limited 4- Bed was not comfortable. It was too soft

Location half-block to Hauptbahnhof, but there is no noise from trains. D-M, bio grocery store, Edeka, Apotheke, Restaurants, all within 5 minutes of hotel. Most well-appointed rooms of any Courtyard that I have stayed at. Exceptionally nice and quiet even though we faced the street.Hotel is new and while modern, has a quiet, cozy feel. Well-designed. Staff is outstanding!! Very good breakfast options including a changing daily homemade breakfast Kuchen. Dinner has a small but varied menu and all we had was very tasty and well priced. Really nice servers. There is an inner courtyard that is filled with vegetation and very peaceful. We will stay here again!!

We had to ask for desk chair, which was provided upon 2nd request. Other than that small point, we have only good things to say about this property. Kudos to the staff and Management of this Courtyard!!

Modern hotel with high standards of service and comfort. Very pleasant courtyard to relax in. Rooms are spacious with all modern comfort needs. Excellent location with only a short walk into old town area. Very convenient underground car park with direct access to hotel. Freiburg was an excellent base for my motorcycle tour of the Black Forest.

Although the breakfast buffet is extensive and good quality, I thought it was a bit overpriced at 29 euros.
