Location, heritage of the building. Staff were brilliant and very helpful except for one incident. Rooms were very clean, large and comfortable. Excellent response time to emails prior to arrival.

Night of our arrival we were unable to get dinner or room service as they were ‘too busy’. Explained we had just flown in but told service was running late and the kitchen staff want to go home too! It was 8.30pm. Reception staff were fantastic in helping us navigate apps to order food in but it was honestly too hard as we were so tired. In the morning no vegan options for breakfast so ended up at Starbucks across the road which became our breakfast hang out for our stay.

The room stylish, big enough and comfortable. The kitchenette relatively well equipping. Hotel building amazing. Nice cosmetics in the bathroom, friendly staff. Absolutely fantastic location. All main attractions in walking distance.

Breakfast disappointing and not worth its price. Everything was fresh and tasted ok, but the choice was very limited. Only 3 warm selections, all egg-based, no fresh vegetables, very limited and similar choice of sweet snacks. In plus: freshly squeezed orange juice and good farmers butter. In the kitchenette only 2 elements were missing: a cutting board and bigger mugs. But bigger cup were delivered upon request.

Great location close to the city centre - very clean Staff friendly Short walk from the underground (Stadthausbrücke- Green S1 line - direct to/from the airport- 30 mins - sit in the carriage close to the driver as train splits) Spoilt for a wide range of cafe & restaurants (book at they are really busy) Ran in the morning - 8am - no issue running the short distance to the Alter lake area - lots of runners & cyclists- all navigating around each other Saturday- underground- 2 stops to the parkrun - get off Hallestrabe - short walk to cliff lakeside cafe for the start at 9am Felt safe, very relaxed - very busy - walked lots - just head off in different directions - nothing further than 30 mins walk

Restaurant expensive - didn’t eat there - shame as it looked really nice inside - if not empty as we passed on our way out to eat Steps to the entrance- not user friendly for anyone who can’t climb steps/heavy case/prams or wheelchair

When one compares the hotel lobby, front desk, the room with the prevalent European standards, then it is a GREAT hotel. The moment one compares to similarly priced hotels in Asia, Middle East etc., Fraser Suites is just about good, nothing more. The lobby is very nice, the effort to create a vintage ambience is clearly visible. The rooms are comfortable - not very spacious but not cramped either. The location is SIMPLY FANTASTIC! Right in between Hbf and Sankt Pauli, there is a large area of Hamburg that can be walked from the hotel with a lot of sight-seeing to do.

The hotel has a restaurant with probably a capacity of less than 40 diners. This forces them to "schedule" their guests which in turn, requires that a guest has to plan her/his time of next day´s breakfast. Personally, a hotel of this class should NOT have to do any of this. They need to work on increasing the size of their restaurant. On the other hand, I can understand that breakfast is not particularly profitable (despite being a separate line item during reservation) therefore the hotel management does not have any inclination to increase its size. However, I am sure a decent analysis of the restaurant, the banquet hall and some creative thinking can result in a large enough breakfast area and a profitable high-end restaurant.

Beautifuly located authentic historical building. True to their times breathtaking interiors, kind stuff, very high standard of service.

We were charged additional €35 as a city tax after our stay, eventhough Booking offer said clearly that all taxes were included and covered in the total pre-charged price.

I like that the hotel is in an old building, but despite the "historical gloss" everything is in very good condition! It's good that there is a minibar with water and soft drinks in the room, also the rooms are +/- spacious and there is space to comfortably put things, but there is a great lack of light, I would like the rooms to have panoramic windows!)) This time I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room: there was a yellow rough coating on the shower tray, there was black hair on the floor .. the rubber bands (water stoppers) on the shower doors fell off, there was a black coating in the sink. For breakfast, which cost 30€, there was bread, pastries, jam and butter, 2-3 types of fish, muesli, cheese and meat slices, you could order eggs (boiled, fried, omelette), which was included in the price, tea, coffee, juices and other drinks. In fact, I didn’t go hungry, but I didn’t enjoy the breakfast for 30€ either, the choice of products was meager, to put it mildly! In fact, it’s strange that there was fish for breakfast… A big plus is that there is a bellboy and a free minibar, a minus: there is no private parking area (you can only park on the street nearby, depending on your luck), there is no recreation area, lounge area where you can sit in the evening with a cup of tea, etc.

No private parking zone , less of daylight:) , there are no any lounge zone . And less of milk in the fridge for morning coffee 😒

It was in the city close to shopping street and food areas

Staff was so un cooperative We booked through booking.com and we booked 2 rooms, we are family of 6, one room for 3 teen age girls and 1 room for me and my husband and 4 years old. We included the breakfast but when we were checking out she’s like breakfast wasn’t included, I told her how do u imagine booking the 2 rooms with 1 adult per room and u let us take 4 children with us. Also why u did not notify us at the time of breakfast that it will be paid, they were so arrogant rude and not cooperative. Did not like this at all.

The hotel is well located next to the S-Bahn which leads straight to the airport. The architecture is stunning and the hotel is decorated with taste.

The staff, especially at the breakfast buffet was 'rough' if not to say rude. The breakfast itself is seriously overpriced (ca. 30Eur pp). The room was relatively small for a twin executive- not at all like on the photos. You can't open the windows so the air is super dry. Since the windows were so high, there was no view.

I liked the location next to a metro stop & the large size of the rooms. I also liked the L’occitane toiletries.

I didn’t like the bathroom. There was no shower only a handheld shower set. It was unable to remain upright on the fitting. We had to hold it and shower which made for a very uncomfortable stay in the cold. I was unable to wash my hair. The bathroom door was also unable to stay open which was very annoying. I didn’t like that our room had an upstairs and downstairs section as it was a lot of effort to have to continually move between the two levels to fetch items. The price was the most expensive from all our accommodations. I’m not sure why prices are so high in Hamburg, this is consistent with other properties.
